What is the most forgettable perk?
By forgettable, I mean perks that nobody uses and are not memorable in the slightest. They don't even need to be bad, just unused.
For my money, it's Deathbound. Not only is its effect not very strong and difficult to properly make use of, but it has several conditions that need to be met by survivors in order for the perk to even activate. And even when it activates, the survivor can just avoid becoming Oblivious by not immediately running away, which isn't hard especially considering Deathbound only activates if 32 metres or further from the killer and as such means the survivor will not be in immediate danger. And to add insult to injury, it only affects one survivor instead of both. And only one person can be affected by Deathbound at a time.
I think a good solution to fix Deathbound, and the Oblivious status effect in general, is to make the Oblivious status effect icon show up next to the survivor's HUD icon like how the Broken status effect does. This would mean it'd be easier to take advantage of Oblivious as killer, making it a bit more impactful and dangerous to have on you.

I don't think I've ever played a match where someone was using Babysitter. 3k hours.
Buckle Up is another good one. Self preservation too.

Like 80% of the perks I havn't seen in maybe a year. So many need massive buffs/changes.
6 -
Monstrous Shrine. Only good for basement builds, and even than theres like ten perks that do better
1 -
Sole survivor I'm hoping they do a rework or a buff Laurie has always been known for ds and object
1 -
Deja vu, I've just been in this place before
2 -
I disagree that there are better perks for Basement fun. I would honestly use it if I wasn't BP farming. What perks are better for basement builds?

Either This Is Not Happening or No One Left Behind.

No one left behind used to be ok when the requirement was only the final gen being done

Overwhelming Presence is so forgettable it didn't even get mentioned here!
Seriously though, the only times I ever see it mentioned are in killer roulette videos, and that's it. I rarely ever see that perk mentioned, and it's completely justified because it's sadly outclassed by Franklin's.

I actually forgot this perk even existed lol

Aftercare? I only remembered it trying to think of a perk that I hadn't thought about in ages just for this thread.

Besides the debuff icon it hasn't received a change in years

On the Survivor side I'll go with Poised.
On the Killer, I'll go with Zansian Tactics.
To the people saying Monstrous Shrine... nobody forgets that perk because of just how bad it is. The ones that really get forgotten are the ones that are below average but not garbage... but also aren't really meme worthy either. So they don't stand out for either a good or bad reason. Another good option for Killer would be Spies from the Shadows.

Gear Head
It's so forgettable I literally forget it exists 90% of the time
The only time I remember it exists is when Otz makes fun of it

What the F is a "Deathbound"? 🤨
Just looked it up... That exists? 😄
That is an extremely memorable perk... 😀

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone run Self-preservation.
0 -
I still run it now and then, but this change made it very not worth it. It's hard enough to use as is, and this EGC change made it even worse.

Blood pact?

Hangman's Trick, and Camaraderie IMO. I used to run both fairly often, Hangman was a goodluck charm. It came in use in niche moments before the aura change, but now I don't use it as it has no effect on broken hooks. Camaraderie I try to run now and then, only once has it ever activated, and it was not any deciding factor on if I lived.

For Killer, Beast of Prey.
For Survivor, either Buckle Up or Off the Record.

that's funny, because I just started to in the past day.
it actually clutched a game for me last night*, so yknow...I'll give it some credit. it'll activate more than you think.
is it good? no. is it ok? i don't even know if i'd go there. but can it be useful? SURE.

I vote for This Is Not Happening, for the longest time when I started playing this game I couldn't for the life of me tell the difference between This Is Not Happening and Resilience, I kept confusing them.
I loved Aftercare when Jeff was released, I used it for months, I still like the concept a lot.

Whatever it is, I doubt I'd be able to name it, as I've probably forgotten it exists.
0 -
I still confuse the two. And I can’t remember what the actual effect of This Is Not Happening is.
here is to hope the current Midchapter actually is a precedent for upcoming ones regarding perk changes

agree with overwhelming presence. It showed up in a video yesterday and i had to look up what it actually did. I thought it was just like another distressing or something.
0 -
Now that you mention both. Yeah. I confuse those two for one another as well.

Self-preservation, Cameraderie, Buckle Up, Solidarity, This Is Not Happening, No one Left Behind, Sole Survivor
Both Presences, Territorial, Predator, Hangman’s, All of Slinger’s perks, Furtive Chase, Claustrphobia//Cruel Limits, Deathbound, Hysteria

Territorial imperative, i bet most of you don't even know what this does, I had to check what exactly does.
0 -
Poised for survivor and dead man's switch for killer, rarely see them used in builds that aren't for adepts.

Idk I forgot it

Vigil even with this buff coming.

I know quentin has pharmacy but I dont think I ever bothered to learn how his other 2 perks look like or even learn their names.
Also all Ace and steve perks, except for camaraderie, I remember that one

Yeah, I think it is a cool concept as well. I just completely forgot it was a perk until this thread.

Iron Grasp, completely outshined by Agitation.

Sole Survivor, no one ever uses it.

I'm so disappointed that nobody wrote on this thread "I don't know, I can't remember it" :(
For me, the perk I forget exists is Beast of Prey, I see it in my perk list and I always have to look at it to remind myself about it - I just can't seem to remember that perk and don't think I've ever used it.
2 -
It's actually a decent perk though like it's something I'd run often.

I have never seen a survivor run Visionary
0 -
I was just scrolling to see if anyone had said that yet. You beat me to it

Now that i think about it, for me as survivor the forgettable honor goes to Object. Until the RE chapter, Object was the only perk i hadnt unlocked in the entire game. Didnt get RE and only leveled Pinny to 10 so thats why they arent unlocked.

But there two responses like that :)

You have changed from Mod to BHVR
Congrats mandy!
