Tinkerer
This chase drop perk promotes bad gameplay with a result of boring and longer matches.
You basically get hard carried by your perks and chasing gens instead of survivors. Free hits, free regression with ruin up.
Make it trigger in 77-80% and 1 gen at the time.
Maybe this nerf break the most over used training wheels perk build in the game by far. (Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer, Corrupt, or Pop) Every single game.

so what I'm hearing is that you don't like Tinkerer because it stops you from rushing all the gens without an ounce of counterplay? I see... please tell me more about how the Killer shouldn't use the only perks which make matches winnable.
but fr. Tinkerer is fine. And it's far, far from free hits and regression if you pay attention after figuring out they have tinkerer. and if they're defending the gen like their life depends on it go do other gens. Divebombing a near 99% gen is a great way to throw the game. Play around the perks.

It's an information perk, and doesn't promote anything. Most of the time it goes off while a killer is in a chase, they either have to throw off the survivor they are chasing or try to race back to the gen as fast as possible and even there still probably isn't enough time to save it.
Your training wheel build is a standard gen regress build, without any regression practically no killer has any chance on any map of even getting 2 kills let alone more. Besides survivors have more than enough perks to counter stealth completely and generators can be done fast enough as it is.
Tinkerer needs no change and is perfectly fine the way it is, it is a killer perk completely controlled by the survivors.

Maybe one proc per gen, so Ruin doesn't hive any additional mileage. Maximum 5 times per game. But still at 70%.

Tinkerer can be countered by splitting up on gens since even the most mobile killers can't stop 3 separate gens at the same time.
Also I don't get this desire to make a killer perk work only once per a gen. A killer has to regress a gen below the threshold in order to get value from the perk again and pretty much every regression perk rewards the killer with doing their job.

Yeah, except Ruin, that punishes survivors for not doing their job instead.

Ruin punishes them for not doing bones. Also it's pretty easy to run through Ruin with good cooridnation too

Im seeing a lot of complaints about ruin, but if you break it then it is gone and tinker is pretty useless cause you likely won't get the gen below 70%. They can also use pop but if you give them a down and allow to kick a gen back below 70% that is on the survivors.

Ruin isn't doing anything if a killer isn't forcing survivors off gens in the first place. Whether it's chasing survivors off the gens or forcing survivors to have to leave gens for hook saves.

Giving it a slight cooldown would be optimal imo. So it just cannot chain onto itself for whatever reasons.

I don't think you know what good gameplay is. Staying in bad chases when an objective is threatened is bad gameplay.

Chase drop perk? LOL what are survivor mains calling killers "chase droppers" now. Lol thats the silliest thing I've read all day. Tinkerer is fine. It only provides information if you're chasing a survivor at the end of the map. Chances are you won't make it to the gen. These balance changes people want are pretty bad. Just killing another perk for no reason.

They clearly do not understand how the game works on even some basic levels. You cannot possibly beat optimized survivors on any killer except Nurse and MAYBE Blight (Since Spirit is getting nerfed), even with slow down perks. It is just not mathematically possible.

Its part of learning game sense as a Killer to know when uour overcommiting to a survivor, you'd be braindead to not drop a chase when you could have an advantage against a weaker link in an area you may have already made a dead zone.
You don't even need Tinkerer to adopt this playstyle, it just helps if you don't want to focus on where every survivor is at all times.
