Ranking from rank 1 to ash 4 everymonth is not right
I love DBD but this new ranking system is stupid and i lost the motivation to play DBD. I played a lot of hours and was proud to be rank 1. Normal you set back to rank 4 then and you have to play a lot to receive rank 1 again. Now your are set back to ash 20 and start all over again . They say it is fair and give more players a change but for me it is no motivation to play DBD anymore what is the meaning to spent all that hours to receive this and then you start all over again. Are there more playes who feel like this and please sent all your comment to DBD to stop this and set back to the old system. or go back 4 ranks at the end of the season. please do something about this

I think a reset every two or three months could be great.

It's not a ranking system, its a playtime reward system. Only try to get to Grade I if you want 250,000 bloodpoints, otherwise just play as normal.

I do not have to have 250000 bloodpoint that i receive in 4 or 5 games. I do not have to have anything. The set back is not right. What is the meaning to play as your reward is to set back. Sory to say i am a rank1 player and to do the whole trick again is stupid.

Being Rank 1 did not mean anything after they changed the Rank Reset from Rank 1 to Rank 10 (or whatever it was) to Rank 1 to Rank 5. Everyone and their mother was Rank 1.
In the end, the new Grade-System only shows how much someone is playing. And this is alright. And the players who play more, get more. As it should be.

what ?? over 5 years there is nothing for ranks...not even blood points
and there I could understand it when people said: hey, this is kinda no fun... what does rank 1 get you ? nothing at all....
Look at the situation now. Ranks are dead !!! When do you finally understand this ? .... now that BHVR has brought out the grades and you get at least a little reward... they still grumble? What is your problem ?
I think you have a problem with yourself. You are unhappy because you are no longer grade 1.
But the grade says nothing and brings you nothing.... at most something for your EGO. Fact is: That you now get blood points for earning the grades should be an additional motivation. I just can't understand your statement. For years you get nothing and now you get something and still you are dissatisfied. Sry
That really hurts to read, but you should also learn to accept certain things. Either you let yourself get involved, or you don't. Your final decision, but contributions like this bring nothing.

Believe what you want. I think the new Gradesystem is good (at least you will be rewarded a little bit for your efforts) and have written you my opinion about it and will not discuss further with you now.

The ranking system does not motivate . It gives me the feeling why play. I get rewarded 250000 bloodpoints wow in one game i receive 32000 bloodpoints. I do play a lot of DBD over 2300 hours . But now it feels stupid to play. I hope and know there are a lot of players who feel the same : LET THE CUSTOMER SERVICE KNOW YOU DO NOT LIKE THIS.

We should all bow to your DbD skills to make so many BP in one game is all inspiring.....but when they first were talking about the change we all knew what was going to happen........
OLD RANKING SYSTEM- You raised your rank to be matched against plays of similar rank. When you reached certain milestones your rank didn't drop below a certain spot so you didn't have to raise it back up so far, but got nothing for raising your rank.
NEW RANKING SYSTEM- Everyone starts off each reset back to lowest rank each month. It shows off your real skills to get back up to what ever your highest rank was and try to push past it further. Your no longer matched with players with similar rank that's what the new "SBMM" is for (which is a complete joke tbh). Players get rewarded for their progress.
In the end I like the new ranking system it allows me to strive to be better and shoot higher. I think the amount of BP should be a bit higher and MM should be based off the ranks. To he honest if you play as much as you say and make as much as you make reaching top rank wont take you long. So I don't see a issue with your argument.....

I agree fully. The upside is however, you aren't forced to play regularly to keep high. For example, if you want to take a break for whatever reason, you don't come back and find yourself at rank 20, especially when you don't get to play that much.

So before when ranks meant nothing, and gave no reward and you were rank 1, you were happy.
Now that grades also mean nothing, but give you a small reward, you are unhappy because you can't see the meaningless number 1 on your screen?
Get a sticker, write the number 1 on it and stick it on the top-right of your monitor. Because that is as meaningful as your old rank 1 was.

PNGAMER NEW RANKING SYSTEM IS NOT MOTIVATING. Please let the developers know this is stupid. You can still have bloodpoint but set back in rank or level as the old system why level up everymonth for nothing.

Hey Aven, you were the Nea on coldwind yesterday against Pinhead?

That is not true in the old system my best was rank 6 in the new system you cannot set back in a level of rank ash 4 you stay ash 4 but i received rank 1 after 2 weeks intensive playing.
But the set back is not good. now i am rank 1 set back to ash 4 and receive wow 250000 points.
This is stupid and for me not motivating.
Make a good system that you could go back in rank or level and give for the effort also bloodpoints but do not someone set back from 1 to 20

I've been Rank 1 as killer and survivor multiple times before the new system went into place, and I was when the last reset hit.
Who cares? Why would anyone I or anyone else? " I " know I have been a Rank 1, so isn't that all that matters? I also know that, even at Rank 1, there's still a huge disparity between skill of people who made that Rank -- I'd like to think I'm pretty decent at the video game, but I also know there are and were plenty of Rank 1's who would run circles around me still.
I got 500,000 BP for being Rank 1 at this last reset. I'm slowly moving back up as I've played since. If I make it back to Rank 1 -- great. If I don't -- again, where's the problem here? I'll still get BP I wouldn't have gotten before, and in theory my SBMM rating won't be changing so my matches and competition shouldn't be affected (that's a different discussion altogether, but let's go with that as being "Accurate" for now). If I have the "1" by my level or not should be irrelevant -- " I " know how good (or not) that I am, and no matter what number is sitting up there, that should be the only thing that matters.
If a person's only motivation to play the game is because of a somewhat meaningless number at the top corner of their screen -- not to have fun, not to improve, not to try new builds or strategies, not to interact with other people in a game, not to play with new characters, etc. -- then I'd argue they probably need a new game to play anyway,

As an aside, the Rank reset has also been great for getting Adepts I didn't have before. With it much easier to get Merciless at Ash 4, I've been able to attempt Adepts I wouldn't have tried at Rank 1 and actually have gotten ones I never thought I would. And with the inability to go down a Level/Grade/Rank once you reach a new one, there's no pressure to fail at the Adepts and worry about losing whatever Rank you're at, so any pressure to perform well in every match is gone -- you can experiment with things at some points and -- gasp -- actually have fun. That's a nice win-win as part of the new system.

If your only motivation is to show off a rank 1, I'd play something else. Being rank 1 only means you play a lot. If you have no more fun, take a break. It works most of the time.

No i have nothing to know i was rank1 and i know i am rank 1 i want to be rank 1 i like dbd light but i cannot understand you accept this new system. I do not see it as win win and nice i get 250000 bloodpoints. I stay on playing dbd. But i do not take the effort to do all the hard work for nothing, To bad most do not understand what i am saying and accept it as it is.

No most people here play the game because they have fun just playing it and the little red number in front of their name never meant anything to them.
They don't need some form of motivation, they play because playing itself is fun for them. And now they even get SOME BP when they play a lot as bonus.
2 -
You literally got nothing for being Rank 1 before. All your "hard work" got you nothing.
Now you do.
Your logic is flawed.

Perhaps my english is not right or i cannot explain it but the meaning is for 250000 points i play 10 rounds , i have all the perks and clothes i want , i have everything. It feels not right to lose all and start over again. But as i said people exept it so i play and have fun but not for rank 1 anymore because it feels for me not right to start all over again everymonth- THINKING I AM RANK 1 BUT I SEE ASH 20.......

I agree that it doesn't motivate me. I think 250k is nothing and definetly not worth trade of reset to 20. I would prefer reset per 2-3 month with better rewards.
Grade is just player level 2.0. Why does we have three things that tell me how much time have I wasted on this game?
Before it was for matchmaking so it wasn't really for nothing that much and reset was only 4 ranks, not 20.
I am weird and have need to have max grade there, so I just have a week marathon to get it, but I don't really enjoy the games during that time. After it I can just play for fun again.
You could say it motivates me for those 5 days to grind it, well but after it I just don't care again, so I start losing on purpose.
So 5 days motivation, 25 days 0 ######### given.
Just show me MMR, so I have reason to stay in high MMR. Otherwise, I will just keep lowering my MMR on purpose before each reset.
Visible MMR would solve it for me, I think it would be fun to see how high I could get without slow-down perks.

You dont lose anythibg regarding hidden ranking.
Each month you get rewarded with certain BP depending on you grade.
You can be ash4 and still be in top. Stop looking at this stupid icon, it means nothing now

I think dbd must think of changing this. What is 100000 or 250000 bloodpoints for 1 month hard work. Wow you look at codes online and you have 100000 in 1 sec
Change this please. Or perhaps only 3 x pro year
1 -
I think this guy doesn't understand that grades are not related to matchmaking.
Otherwise why would it matter what grade you are other than bp reward? It doesn't mean anything else. It is not related to skill or anything.
1 -
It literally takes no time at all if you play as much as you claim every reset to get back to red. You have everything congratulations, this change is actually to take down the grind of bloodpoints for newer players so they also may enjoy the game and I believe a complete rank reset is a real ranking system and makes the title worth more because it is consistently earned. Not just in place and then back 4 levels every 13th. Just think about it.

New system is mostly for newer players less grind and this is how a ranking system should be but I do believe people should see their MMR placement.

In my opinion it is a fail to have grades and MMR split up. I know that "emblems dont reflect skill" but let's be honest, but basically you need to play well to get many emblem points. And one big stupid thing is, you get ýour rank reset but not your MMR, which kinda means you need to HEAVILY improve your MMR each month to get to rank 1 for best rewards. EVERY month. How should that work?
You get a bit assistance by not being able to drop ranks, but at least that means you need to pip 5 times in a row, then die a lot to get back to "your MMR level" and then pip again. Otherwise you will rise in MMR and have a hard time to pip 5 times in a row. Other option would be to sweat your *** off to get the pip, and then decide to die or let survivors excape to not raise your MMR.
So I don't get how this was a good idea, even if you easily got red rank before the change, it will now be a pain if you dont play both sides 50%. At least that was my first impression of "season 1"
1 -
Yeah, you have to grind quite a lot on both sides for it. I managed to got it last month, but I think it will be rare to have this on both.
I would make it linked to MMR, where max grade would be that 1900 and Ash would be 1000 and you could see on your profile your exact MMR for your survivor and each killer.
But I doubt they will do that, because everyone could see, if that system actually works or not. Right now everyone has just feeling that it was bad / good, but that is not really strong argument to start with.
