bubba nerf when?

9 out of 10 bubbas i encounter are (insidious) facecamping the first hook they get thus robbing all 5 players of any gameplay for the entire match (hooked surv can't do anything, killer doesn't do anything, the rest of the survs just sit on gens and hold m1)

i haven't seen this done by any other killer in the game, so clearly bubba design is flawed at its core and needs to be reworked entirely

hillbilly > bubba

And how exactly you want to nerf it without making him useless?

So a legitimate strategy using a perk is a design flaw? Even if they weren't face camping you still have a reasonably low chance of everyone escaping unless he is a potato, sacrifice and gen rush punishes these kinds of bubbas obviously this is better done on a SWF, but shockingly enough he doesn't have a issue being over powered, or a gameplay design flaw. This is how the character worked in the movies, I really would like you to think about your own words because the original freddy movie version got turned into something boring honestly because the couldn't make it work. I refuse to have someone say bubba whom is a chainsaw user is flawed when I have and seen people lose to him and utterly destroy him. Or you can get me, the rarest bubba who doesn't require the saw and will just whack you to death hook you and then move on lol.

Rework a character entirely because of a perk and someone's dislike of being camped. Yeah. Enjoy your boons you won't need to complain too much longer. Good lord I hope BHVR doesn't listen to this type of crap but I am sure they will.

you seem to be entirely missing the point if you're placing atmosphere and honesty to movies above gameplay and game health

making him useless is lesser of two evils :)

but i'm sure there's a workaround - longer chainsaw cooldowns, inability to instadown near hooked survs, anything that wouldn't affect the actual chases much

I have no idea where did you take 9 out of 10.

I don't count camping when all gens are finished, that kinda makes sense to secure kill.

It's really rare for me too see camping from first hook, unless it is some meme bubba basement from start and you walked there.

But maybe it's new player thing.

Bubba is fine, just learn timing for locker tech against him. I actually like game against Bubba.

I really don't wanna see more nerfs to weak killers that are based on "it's annoying" without proper buff as compensation. RIP Deathslinger

You don't even have any idea what to do about it. Just git gud.

Camping bubba is a stupid meme that became outdated as soon as his rework came out.

Why did you purchase or play this game entirely? Because of the survivors? Or the Triple A movie killers? Let's be honest your here because of this and because of the fact that you didn't like a particular playstyle you want to nerf a character entirely or rework it in to something boring because you didn't like being facecamped, here is the option everyone does to me on bubba just dc. I don't camp rarely use the chainsaw and run amok and they still dc on me. So all I see is I don't like it nerf it.

Your the reason this game is tanking, "making him useless lesser of two evils"

If you want to not play a game with triple A movie killers and their original character methods entirely to the point you want it nerfed, well you can keep asking because eventually you and many will have their way, killers will leave, you will teabag the last one and this honest to good game will die because of the developers being stupid with balancing around casual players and not listening to both sides, it's always stupid management that leads good products in to the can.

i said first hook camping, not all gens done camping

you don't seem to process what you're reading - yes locker tech, avoiding basement, etc are valid strats, but if he catches another survivor, all that's left to do is just hold m1 on gens, it's not really what we play dbd for

deathslinger RIP indeed, idk why they nerfed him

Only thing I can honestly say is no insta down but injury and deep wound near hooks is actually a fair trade off considering. The rest is bleh.

I was talking about your 9 out of 10 bubbas.

    That's just BS.

that's my experience [hence i quote "i encounter", please pay attention to what you read before replying :) ], maybe you're more lucky with that

Wonder how many less Bubbas and campers we’d see if devs would disable killer powers from being able to be initiated within a small radius of a hooked survivor.

Well, Trickster and Huntress would want to say hello...

Not every hook can be camped from a distance. My recommendation is at least a healthy start, unless you have a different idea?

Sure, it would fix bubba and Hag, well not really bubba. Unhooking person would always die and probably both, if it is basement.

Just saying that if someone wants to be a dick, they will find a way.

    He don't need a nerf

let him have 1 kill, do gens and leave...

i don't understand the point of tell us he's running insidius, insidius do nothing for him, the camped guy is going to tell their friends via discord where bubba is anyways.

The only change that made is that he can’t pre-rev the chainsaw at a hooked survivor. It added zero counter play or real difficulty for his camping.

    • A camped survivor dies before all five generators can be completed
    • Not every survivor player is in a SWF (shocker I know)

I actually run into the opposite. Rarely do I see Bubba's facecamp unless down to one genny. Most of the Bubbas I face, actually do pretty well, know how to use their saw and actively pressure gens. Bamboozle and BBQ Pop Bubbas are what I see mostly.

these posts are exactly why Bubbas play the way they do. If it wasn't so rewarding in terms of salt and complaints they might play normally. But players enable them to facecamp by throwing themselves into a chainsaw then complaining the killer is at fault.

Bubbas feed from salt. It's like when you give an obnoxious kid in school attention. If they dont get any attention they'll just stop and be normal.

It really isn't the lesser of two evils.

Something that I thought made sense was making the overheat mechanic more significant on bubba. Like he wouldn't go into tantrum at full overheat he just can't use his chainsaw for a bit. I still don't understand why hillbilly's overheat is more significant then bubba's. People say cause of the distance he can cover but Blight.

well you could just not go into the basement and save your teammate if Leatherface is camping it's a bad idea to go for an unhook cause than he's gonna get you and the other person again

I've seen more Billy's insidious camp than bubba.

Probably seen more Billy's camp more than bubba's anyway.

Anyways you can time the chainsaw with the unhooks I frames and your all set so you have that.

When they give him a big buff, then he deserves a small nerf.
