Hexes should only be cleansed
Hexes should not allow blessing that totem to work at all.
Hexes should ONLY be cleansed.
That is all.

Killer here. They're fine the way they are now
That is all

Blessing them already takes forever to do. They are fine

I think it's okay that survivors can cleanse hexes since it takes longer. Running a full hex setup to deny perks wouldn't be fair.

Nah. Killer player here too- this is a fine way of implementing them. Even though I'd like to see more nuance in the interactions, this is definitely the wrong direction to go.

Killer player here as well - You could just make a powerful hex build, and top it off with haunted grounds to counter the perk:
Ruin
Undying
Haunted Grounds
Retriboution / Devour Hope / NoED / Crowd Control
Now all 5 totems are plugged with a strong build and boons are rendered worthless.

The way the new system works the survivor is effectively spending the time they would normally be cleansing the hex plus the time they would then spend putting on the boon. The only difference between this system and forcing the survivor to cleanse a hex totem is that, if you forced the survivor to cleanse hexes, then those totems would be destroyed and unusable for boons afterward.

..how? they'll be extra-incentivized to turn your hexes into blues regardless of the longer time requirement because of ruin

The argument is saying hex totems should not be blessable. It would be downright impossible to boon them.

I think since they made it so blessing a hex is now almost double blessing a dull, I think it's fine. At that point if you lost a hex due to someone blessing it, you weren't going to be able to stop it from being cleansed and I think the survivor deserves the extra dull by doing so. If you're still so worried about survivors cleansing your hex by blessing it, run Thrill of the Hunt. It would take a survivor 40 seconds at Tier 3 with 5 totems to bless a hex.

Its possible to have 5 hex totems.
A better suggestion would be hexes comes back after the boon is snuffed out.

yeah but they're not doing that by all accounts, so i'm not sure how productive dealing in hypotheticals is 'cause they seem pretty adamant in having blue totems > hex totems

I just wish if a hex gets blessed and the killer snuffs it, that I would revert back to a hex. That would provide a meaningful choice then between cleansing or blessing a hex, because in most situations 10 extra seconds isn't going to matter. Especially with ToTH notifications getting removed. This just makes it really hard to justify running my favorite hex builds.

Just had a match where I was blessing over Thrill of the Hunt..
Two survivors starting the generator next to it nearly had time to finish it before I finished the blessing.. that took foreveeeer (but I only noticed after the match was over that they had Thrill of the Hunt)

That would just be fair it would force them to cleanse the totems as normal lose the boon lose the hex the way it should have been before hand honestly. But here we are.

I also don't think that boons should be the survivor's hex that is the one that can be continually brought back in to the game unlike hexes. A bit one sided in honesty but you know. If snuffed out snuffed out then survivor's will whine for better hiding spots so both sorta benefit but really only the survivor's will. Because honestly hexes are obsolete and utterly pointless before this and after this patch and long after.

Could have been me lol. Was it a Doctor?

Nah, a Legion
But I guess Thrill making totem interactions take longer is a good counter to Boon totems.. only problem with that is Thrill no longer gives a loud noise notification.. which was pretty much the sole reason to use it in the first place.
