his [eep]ing tier up sounds are the loudest god damn things in this game, why are they SO LOUD
a nemesis just won a game because he randomly jumpscare tier 3'd off a zombie and got me to miss a skillcheck on the last gen that was almost done which told him exactly where to go

Although I dont mind anything from his base kit and dont think he needs a nerf, that tier up noise needs to change bc I physically can't use headphones while facing him due to such.

it's half a joke thread and half serious because he scares the actual [sheesh] out of me every time he tiers up and it just had an actual disastrous gameplay effect, it does not need to be this ear-wrenching but it still is for some reason
the other global notifications like oni's blood meter aren't even within the same galaxy in intrusiveness

They should really tone it down to be similar to Oni or Myers, maybe even just a more simplistic sound that's quieter aslong as it gets changed.

put the .ogg in an audio program, reduce its audio by 40-60% or so (it's so distinct that it could be that severe) and then deploy that in a patch

so that's how much of a nemesis nerfer i am (devs said they initially had it that way and it was 'too gamebreaking' but they're potatoes so i don't buy it)

I am fine with that, without it whole contamination mechanic would be useless, because you would not get any distance for it and there would be no reason to use vaccines.
I really enjoy playing Nemesis, only thing that I really hate is that survivors can just crouch, so I can't hit them over windows and loops, that is just stupid.
Otz's tech about moving with A/D while using tenticle helped so much.

the reason to use vaccines is to have a buffer health state vs an attack that can hit you in numerous situations his m1 can't
you still start with said buffer health state but with the speed boost as if you are hit you can literally tactically run by a zombie in chase to gain massive distance on nemesis if he m1'd you first and indulge in the shift w meta to a filthy degree, beyond just speeding away to a completely separate area with all new loops to go through in regular circumstances
even if you don't gain a speedboost you still completely ignore the first whip hit to your healthstate and make it somewhere else unless you cornered yourself, in which case you still have the regular speed boost from being injured to get somewhere else

right? i've been jumpscared off gens by stealth killers and of course instantly blew it up because you always get a skillcheck when leaving, but never by a killer on the other side of the map
well, probably will be by huntress someday, but yet to run into one of that caliber

If you think nemesis' tier up noise is loud, you haven't experienced the elodie bug she had when her chapter launched. Her screams were 10x louder, it was literally ear #########

Mm it's a bit like Elodie screaming it's to loud, and I can't even use headphones due to my tinnitus. But sounds should not be that much louder then other sounds because that will create problems.
I love Hag but triggering her traps can also be a bit too much sound wise. People with headphones can't be happy about that sound either I would guess.

he had just killed a survivor off on the other side of the map and randomly stumbled across a zombie and whipped it en route to a different gen
the sudden extremely loud tier 3 sound caused a skillcheck to be missed on the actual gen being worked on and gave him the time to get to it, interrupt it and ultimately kill the remaining two survivors because it's one of the loudest things in the game and came out of nowhere
i dunk people with my lv1 nemesis all the time and the tier-up sound still scares the [sheesh] out of me because of its delay/volume

actually now that i think about it on this thread's note, did anyone else notice how the infection ui got a major downgrade in this patch
the overlay for an infected player is way more drab and uninspired and EXTREMELY hard to see if you're in a blue totem radius now

Even Plague's Corrupt consume or Fountain reset is not that jumpy compared to Nemesis.
