New Matchmaking? Your Opinion?
Dunno how to say it but i recently began playing dbd again. I did not play for like 3 months because the Matches were too ridicoulus and started playing again yesterday. I play Killer and Survivors but i mainly play killer for the Bloodpoints Grind for obvious reasons and i need a ton of blood points :)
I started from the lowest rank again and climbed until Ashe 1 right now. I'm starting to get those Red Ranks Chuck Norris Survivor Teams (2x Rank 1 and 2 times Gold 1-3 swf) right now, which i have no chance when trying to learn Oni. So this pretty much feels slightly worse than the old Ranking System and im wondering what you guys think about the new Ranking System.
If the System thinks im playing Oni like a Gold - Red Rank Killer, its simply bad imo because i dont even know most mechanics on Oni. Yes, i had good games before but i guess that was not my "skill" it was the bad positioning of the Survivors. I mean standing in the open field and starting to run, when im coming with my big stick ( :^) ) is not a good idea...
So yeah, pretty interested in your opinion and your experience so far with the new Matchmaking, especially because i did not really get into the news in the past :)

It's alright, sometimes (like 70%) I go against god tier survivors against my underleveled and played Ghostface and other times they match my skill level.

Rank has nothing to do with matchmaking

But what's the point of Ranks then?

And why are they still being shown even though they have nothing to do with matchmaking? Those my friend, are good questions

To provide a sense of pride and accomplishment to the player.
There is no point.

Yeah but the real problem is, that the new MM provides way worse players or way better players overall. This makes me wanna play Custom only. I mean its not like i would not play customs but i cant play customs on my own and i have like 2 friends which play DBD and the're like offline forever xD

I do believe the ranking system can be deceiving when you're looking at the actual tier. As far as the MMR system, I think it is decent for the most part. I think the main issue with MMR system is when it comes to SWF. In my opinion it seems they struggle to find the balance of the team. I either end up with complete newbies or sweaty veterans. When facing solo survivors it seems pretty balanced. Just don't pay attention to the actual rank it means nothing.

It's basically the same as the old system but it doesn't go down every month.

I think the way mmr works for killer is it puts you at the average until you play enough to provide data. The issue rises when you play a new killer the game thinks your at least decent with said killer.
Personally i think its pointless no matter how much data you provide. If a god tier swf is in que long enough the mm favors speed over fairness.

Oh well, that could explain my issues! Thanks for letting me know.

I guess it's okay. But I still don't quite understand it. Sometimes I get paired up with survivors with over 5000 hours when I'm playing a killer I've never played before

Don't forget to get BP for your rank before they are reset back to 0......
