Why isn't this happening right now in DBD?
Not crazy about mobile games in general, but damn if the offerings from DBD mobile doesn't make DBD look pale by comparison. XP boosts that coincide with extra blood points, a proper bot/training mode, bots that take over for players that dc, tickets that allow players to test out new killers, etc.

I'm happy with the Bloodpoint rewards I've gotten this month. I think I've gotten about 1 million bloodpoints just from the special rewards the last few weeks (that's on top of all the bloodpoints earned during matches and from missions.) One of them was 666,666 bloodpoints even.

Holy crap I'd kill for triple BP for a few days.
7 -
Actually there is when the new rifts come out. How cool would it be to get extra experience for a few days with every new rift?
5 -
But you get 25.000 BP for holding M1 on Gen for 14min in the rift, was it not enough for you? So greedy.
10 -
Same here, 1 decent game would make up for all the BP loss for the half dozen games i get camped or teabagged by PC players while i die on first hook lol.
3 -
Pain.
Why is BHVR so stingy with BP
21 -
The sad thing is that they have like double BP events all the time like every other weekend it seems like and we rarely get one and they didn't even pay for the game.
That being said I'm happy with the current event and the points they're giving out, the cosmetics in with the challenges etc... they really have done a pretty good job so far lol the amount of things they touched on in the last patch was nice, we can't complain too much at the moment.

If you are enjoying the Halloween event then that's great, but I find it lacking because it only rewards players that have purchased the new survivor. Now granted if you have enough shards then you can use that, but otherwise you have to spend money, and seeing that the survivor unlockables in the Halloween rift only cater to something that you have to spend currency on is really disappointing.

Agreed. Like if BHVR doesn't want to do anything to lessen the grind in the game, then throw in a blood hunt at least once a month. The grind is atrocious, and it's something that is talked about ad nauseam even from their own fog whispers.
8 -
Because they love grind, the last double bp event was on dbd anniversary
4 -
Clearly😕. 5 years of perks that have to be grinded for. And not just the perks themselves, but you got to keep it up if you want to get to level three. If they haven't done something to fix this within five years time, then they sure as hell aren't going to do anything now.
0 -
We aren't even talking about how atrocious and greedy this game is. Like, EA-esque greed.
The entire game (all DLC) costs around 200 USD. But don't worry! You can get it for free with only around 300 games (40+ hours)!
5 -
I almost got excited until I saw DBD mobile. 😔
3 -
Its because exp equals iridescent shards and they wouldn't want the grind to be any shorter.
1 -
300 games is about 2 characters worth of progress maybe
4 -
This game has an ultimate edition now for 70$. Not including any Licenced characters.
0 -
It does. You gain Shards through XP.
4 -
Dbd mobile is clearly superior
3 -
Because they need more players to join mobile. They are milking the PC/console versions for money.
0 -
That still comes out to 170 USD because the licensed content is about $100.
2 -
I would kill for double bp one day. I am desperate...
1 -
The mobile team isn't anywhere near as protective of BP as the PC/console team is. Why? I have no clue. Maybe the mobile team is made up out of a lot of PC/console players who know how bad the grind is so they're doing a bunch of BP events. It makes me wonder what would happen if mobile and PC/console switched teams. Would mobile suddenly stop getting a crap ton of BP events?
4 -
Devs: we know the grind is too much and we are working on solution
Also devs: heres a code for 100k, and for 1031 BP....and a code for 1 BP
5 -
What's even crazier is that the mobile game is FREE TO PLAY! Every time that I'm tempted to spend money on DBD, I'm reminded of what we still don't have 5 years later: no bot mode, no way to test out new killers/survivors, very few blood hunts to help reduce the grind, etc.
2 -
A freaking Blood Feast?!?
2 -
Sad isn't it?
DBD mobile team: "Enjoy triple the blood points and experience for Halloween."
DBD team: "Here's some codes and some pumpkins".
3 -
Tell me about it. Regular DBD hasn't seen one of those since August of 2017!
2 -
but I like the pumpkins. 🤣

Let's do some Math together. Halloween 7$, Bubba 5$, A nightmare on elm street 7$, Saw 7$, Ghost face 5$, Ash 5$, Stranger things 12$ (for now anyways) Silent Hill 7$, Resident Evil 12$, Pinhead 5$, And Bill is free.
12+12=24, 24+7=31, 31+5=36, 36+7=43, 43+7=50 50+5=55, 55+5=60, 60+7=67, 67+5=72. So it all equals put to around 142$ for everything.

But we get to kick pumpkins :D
10/10 event, couldnt be happier about it.
literal perfection.
:)
yeah i quit this game for a reason - boring copy pasted events being one of them.
anyone remember some of the events back in the day?
like the lunar new year one where both sides had a race for lanterns? with community challenges based on how many points we made with rewards for everyone - yeah THOSE were actually cool events.
2 -
I don't think I was around yet. But that does sound like fun.
0 -
yeah it brought some new and refreshing gameplay into the game.
essentially, every map would spawn a set amount of Lunar Lanterns in possible (empty) hook spawn locations. You could collect them as a Survivor, which would give you a glimmer effect for the rest of the game. If you escaped with one, you got awarded event points for it.
Killers however gained their points differently: after hooking any Survivor, all Lamps on the map would turn red for a couple of seconds. during this time the Killer could walk around and destroy them, giving them event points (less than a Survivor would get from escaping with one ofc) - also, uppon being hooked a Survivor lost their Lantern and it respawned in the place the Survivor had originally picked it up.
We also got special event Offerings that would increase the amount of Lanterns available in the match - and ofc some bonus BP for escaping with one / destroying one.
i really miss those kind of events...
i mean, they werent perfect and sometimes heavily favoured one side over the other (like the very first Halloween event), but at least they offered us something new and exciting and spiced the rather dull gameplay DbD has up a bit.
0 -
maybe we can try to get them to bring it back for next year!
0 -
i doubt it tbh.
they stopped doing those kind of events years ago and just replaced them with the boring and copy pasted ones we get today :(
anyway, i just went through some of my old Steam screenshots and actually found one of the event!
fun times...

What's really disappointing is knowing that BHVR abandoned all other events to focus solely on Anniversary and Halloween, yet the only thing we got from the Anniversary event was more cakes and free shards, and for Halloween we get to kick pumpkins. I hate to sound bitter, I really do, but when you're reminded of what came before it's just disappointing that they've never upped their game.
2 -
I was using Auric Cell prices.
Each character is $5
0 -
The mobile version has a much better economy than the main one, they even get free shards for the events. It's because a separate team within BHVR is responsible for the mobile version, and I think all the competent devs are there, so none were left for the main team.
3 -
People often complain about the BP grind, but the shard grind is INFINITELY worse. It is actually ironically the main thing keeping the BP grind reasonable for new players. You can't enter hell if you do not have enough perks to fall into the inner circles. Lol.
1 -
it does.
0 -
There's a very obvious, logical explanation. DBD is rather popular. Typically in the top ten or twenty for activity on Steam. They don't need to bribe people to log in so matches can happen and they can get you buying cosmetics. We're already playing. They need more mobile players, so they incentivize people to play it.
0 -
That is very true. The grind for shards is ridiculous. There are so many costumes that cost well over twenty thousand shards, and at most you'll get 300 shards upon ranking up, but that's only within the higher numbers. It's pathetic.
1 -
If this was happening in the main game it would no doubt have been bugged on release and need to be extended by a week. :^)
2 -
Sad but true LOL. It's been over 5 years and this game is still buggy enough to the point to where it functions like a game still in beta.
0 -
Excluding skins. And some skins are only purchasable for no reason at all other than greed? Why are some meh looking skins costing up to 10 USD while some other skins of the same rarity can be unlocked for shards?
0 -
I never liked the fact skins are really overpriced. A whole set should be 3$ not 10$ but hey if it keeps characters at 5$ a piece then i guess whatever
1 -
Hello again brother
1 -
considering you can see your teammates perks in that game before the match starts, it sure is.
