A way to stop teabaging at the gate

There has been a lot of talk of how to stop toxic killers camping, and a lot of people moaning about toxic survivors at the gate, but no solutions put forward, so hear goes.

Take away the crouching in and around the gate area, and stop them being able to crawl out. They do it because they know that any killer need two hits and then be able to pick them up. They teabag at the gate because the risk is minimal, the same as when they teabag the other side of a pallet, knowing that the killer has to break the pallet to get them. Take this safety away and see them risk losing the escape just to teabag.

Haha I forgot about that since I started charging my headphones between matches of killer XD. Sometimes you just get that big fart cloud right by the exit gate. Nothing says brave like being scared to go out of sight range of the door.

They could just make it so you can only crawl out if you were downed outside of the exit gates. Would still allow for every clutch escape except for the ones where you needed Dead Hard. Lol.

making the T Bag animation slow like they launch on the previous patch. I guarantee nobody want press Alt to do t Bag.

I really don't mind, I down them and because they're losing their perfect score, that's good enough for me.

If survivors couldn’t tbag at the exit, they would do it somewhere else. Get over it!!

Not sure how you KNOW what their intention is. I do know there are people that do it to be toxic, but back in the day, it wasn't that way, and I imagine many from those days still see it that way. Me, I don't teabag at the gate. I figure if the killer wants the extra points and knows about it, they will chase me out. If they don't, I just leave. Too much room for misinterpretation, and the few extra points aren't worth it. :-)

Or the Entity could be really nasty and when someone spams the crouch button, they are immobilized. Same for those pesky survivors who decide that spamming a vault area over and over to create all those loud noise events is amusing.

I mean the best way to stop TeaBagging at the gates is to NOT go to the gates as the killer.

Thats what i do. I let the sad survivors wait at the gates and hit their butts to the floor while i watch youtube or read something or do ANYTHING but go to the gates. If they want to waste their time slamming that butt to the floor go for it, im not going to come look at it :)

People still don't know what toxic is... 🤦🏼‍♀️

I have to agree with the overall sentiment. Just don't go to the gates, or run insidious to bait them into coming out with a one shot ability.

Did that more than once on Bubba. They peek out and get instadowned for their hubris.

If the Survs are superior to you and you want to end the round quickly, then open a gate and stand in a corner with your face to the wall. There are plenty of ways to avoid toxic survivors at the end of the round.

Or If the gates are open, run around and break a few more pallets for points. Sometimes you even meet a Surv trying to escape through the hatch.

I also know how annoying survivors like that are. But when you know there is nothing more you can do, don't go to the exit and let the survs click and tbag there. With some of the solutions you have mentioned, there will only be problems that can be exploited.

I only do that on maps like Dead Dawg or Midwich where I can play Wreck it Ralph. Otherwise I want out of the game and just push them out. Save myself a few minutes.

Survivors are so rude that even when you 2 hook everyone, no camping or tunneling, and let them all escape purposely they will STILL force you to walk across the map just to watch them leave at the other exit gate they went to without giving a free hit. If they are THAT dedicated to staying, it is really best to just let them have it and move on, in my opinion.

I can't speak for everyone, but for many of us, it's not about being rude unless it was earned. Many of us wait to make sure everyone is safe before leaving. We don't want to leave until we know all three others are making it out. We can't go back and help if they're downed then

If all four are at the gate, we will try for some more heal points, but we leave once we're set, regardless of what you do.

Oh, yeah, I have no beef with those survivors. I get it, and pushing them out feels interactive. I am talking about when I open a gate myself after letting them finish gens, and they see the others already left at the other exit gate. Believe it or not, they exist and it is not an uncommon occurrence. Some of them even teabag, although THAT is rare.

Teabagging is not toxic. Face camping is not toxic.

And imagine not going to the the exit gates to make em leave. You guys are so soft. 😂

  • Feyd
    Feyd Member Posts: 428

I did say I can't speak for everyone. But I see it no different than the killer's that take the last survivor to the hatch just to close it in their face.

  • VicThor
    VicThor Member Posts: 347

So it means I can hit the survivor on a hook and I can t-bag with ghost face it won’t be toxic.

The issue with this mentality that it’s all about bragging, and t-bagging is toxic. I have never seen people T-bagging in the open field against a T3 Myers or Bubba.

    Why?

  • Hannacia
    Hannacia Member Posts: 1,323

Those kind of survivors are fine. But those who wait until the last second of the clock to go out are there just to tea bag. I was being very fair yesterday no tunneling no camp and i killed only 2 people. Well the endgame chat was like EZ EZ EZ LOLOLOLOLLOL..

Im low MMR with pyramid head since i dont play him so i said..well im on low mmr with this guy whats your excuse for being bad ;) and he went quiet. Usually end game teabaggers are people who know 2 words in this game EZ and LOL.

The Entity frowns down at teabaggery.

Any survivor who crouches in the exit gate area has their legs broken and automatically goes in to the dying state.

For every Teabag at the Gate, the EGC Timer loses 0.5 seconds.

I.. have done that. But I'm intentionally trying to get him off of someone that's on death hook.

  • Feyd

As long as it happens to ghostface too, resurrecting all dead survivors spectating for an escape.

  • Hannacia
    Hannacia Member Posts: 1,323

He's the only killer who can tea bag back to you toxic survivors.. why should he suffer while he's just getting revenge for everyone else out there! 😋

  • Feyd
    Feyd Member Posts: 428

Just saying... Fair is fair. If you need one, you nerf both. It's why I say if you fix camping, you have to fix gen speeds with it. I actually try to be somewhat fair. :P I want a balanced game, but I lost hope of that years ago.

Not everything needs a fix and this is one of those. Besides, if you remove tbagging survivors will instead furiously nod, move left right, left right, left right, point, 360 etc. They'll find a way to rub their win in your face and you'll then get annoyed by that.

Also imagine it's an extremely intense chase, WILL you make it to the exit gate and escape?! You get hit right at the boundary but fall down and are about to escape when the entity says... "no lol" and blocks the exit because you're downed.

  • Sonzaishinai
    Sonzaishinai Member Posts: 7,976

Then they'll teabag in front of the gate.

What will you do? Disable crouching all around when Egc happens? Thrn they'll just point.

You can't stop people from being toxic. It's in human nature to hurt others.

The only thing you can do is learn to shield yourself against it. If it doesn't trigger you anymore then wether they do it or not is irrelivant

Don't get me wrong. My solution is to go back into the map, wait and browse the internet.

Its just I have seen a lot of survivors crying about tunnelling and camping, I thought I would even the score.

    Kurri Member Posts: 1,599

Just don't go to the gate. Go break walls/pallets, kick pumpkins, and practice looping.

Could borrow a note from Resident Evil Resistance’s playbook: survivors can’t escape through the final gate when downed. Also can’t be healed when within the final gate.

I think crawling out to escape is fine, but blocking healing within the exit gate would be nice. That would make the “heal tech” worthless at least.

When it comes to crouching 'teabagging' learn not to care. The same with being hit on hook and power spammed, its bming behavior but in the end it only hurts your feelings if you let it. You don't even have to observe the behavior at the gate. When the game is over you're not locked in your seat. If they want to waste time go take a bathroom break or something. I know on the occasion where I am slugged to death I switch to another screen and watch youtube.

I've never understood why teabagging at the gate is an issue? Like, just hit them and they'll run out. Is it that hard?

  • Voodoo101
    Voodoo101 Member Posts: 237

It's not so much the teabag, its the standing at the gate wasting time. Survivors moan when they don't escape, so escape when you have the chance. The last thing I want to do as a killer is to stand waiting or have to run to the gate to chase them out. Just move on.

There is a solution to stop both of

How about acting a little bit grown up and not care about teabaging or camping or tunneling and just que the next game or take a break if it tilts you, ever tough of that ?

Need a killer with a secondary power that enables them to call in airstrike during ecg. That would fix it

    new feature: crawling

quickly tap the crouch button twice to go prone. while prone, sounds of your breathing and grunts of pain are reduced by 100%. if the killer finds you, they can just pick you up as if you were dying, but otherwise it'll be a great way to hide in bushes.

the day this gets added, there'll be so many gate teabaggers complaining about how they went into a lengthy crawling animation and the killer came and picked them up and hooked them lmao. plus, it'd actually be a useful feature.

As a professional player of dbd for 15 weeks I would like to chime in.

These are all great suggestions, like not allowing crouching around the gate and limit the speed / number of crouches etc

but I think the solution is Jesus.

if we all love and work with one another and play together without Hatred and egos.

Teabagging can stay or go for all I care, but it's kinda dumb to remove it without it actually being harmful. It's a crouch, it's up to you to make it a problem.

Removing crawling out the gate although is even worse, and a terrible idea.
