A long time player should never be matched with brand new players, regardless of MMR.

I played a game as Trapper on Temple and got rolled, got one sacrifice and the rest escaped while clicking flash lights. Fairly competent team, not perfect but probably on comms.

Anyway the next game I played Trapper again and I swear the Survivors didn't even know to run to pallets. This felt MISERABLE, I don't WANT to play against baby Survivors just because I had one bad game, I am not a perfect Killer whatsoever but even I can stomp on players who don't even know where to run while being chased.

And for Survivor it's worse because you have less control, get unlucky enough and the MMR will place you with baby teammates and the odds of you escaping fall even more drastically. Survivor is not at all consistent enough to have the current MMR system in place, when not playing with friends odds are you escape 1/3 of trials with random teammates, maybe.

For Killer, scoring sacrifices makes sense since that is all you can do as a lone single individual in the game, but for Survivor there are far too many factors in the game for it to simply be about escaping. No, the Claudette who hid in a bush all game and got lucky with Hatch did NOT play better than the teammate who did 3 gens, healed teammates, and ran the Killer very well before being sacrificed (I know Hatch doesn't affect MMR, but being sacrificed sure does!).

If you are going to look into MMR and make changes, I PROMISE you Survivor needs to be looked at first, because the fact of the matter is unlike Killer you are 1/4th of a team with so much out of your control.

    Survivor is awful.

You die to some unfortunate events while high mmr, and it start to bring you down. This results in more often deaths due to worse teammates, making it a huge struggle to get back up without playing a boring game of let the rest die and attempt hatch/door escape.

Isnt MMR based on skill on not how long you have been playing? I know MMR is not great, but surly if it is matching with new players, either they are good and at your level, or you are not so great and at their level.

No, just kidding, it's rubbish. Many times, as a killer I have seen good players matched with bad players. I think it's BHVR's joke way of trying to keep queue times down, just put anybody with anybody else instead of actually matching people.

I don't know how everyone else's experience with mmr is going but when I play survivor I feel its normally quite fair and well done. When I play killer it feels broken asf. For me it will give me survivors who are way worst than me so I 3-4 K, then I get survivors that are way better than me and I 0-1 K, it then goes back and forth. It also doesn't give a ######### which killer you play, 100+ hours on legion feels the same as playing on my level 1 hillbilly where I have less than 10 hours.
