PC - Game freeze when abandoning daily ritual

Step 1 : Boot the game
Step 2 : Daily Rituals appear, click to abandon the third (new) one
Step 3 : Game UI becomes unresponsive; killer breathing and music continue
Step 4 : Force quit game
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Character played might be irrelevant, issue occurred before reaching the main menu
- First time encountering this issue

I can't tell if the log and image were uploaded or not.

This is where the game became unresponsive.
On relaunch, briefly experienced the 'trouble connecting to store' error message associated with steam accounts last patch before a new daily ritual was issued as normal.
