What is the point of the BP Cap
What is the point of the BP cap? It should be taken out. I guess some would say because they wanna prevent stocking up insane amounts of BP but does that matter? It's not like they progress any faster. They can just save more but you'll end up in the same place as you do now. It's just that now you are forced to spend.

I believe it was so you couldn't just p3 a new character

Yea... that's right

I think it was introduced to discourage AFK bots that would essentially farm BP for you while you slept.

Yeah but how much does it really help? The player would just spend the BP and then immediately do the same thing.

But why? Whats the difference if I P3 new character or not? I wont be playing until I have good perks on her anyway so I dont see the logic behind this slowdown.
I heard they cap it because of cheaters were able to get insane amounts of BP but that doesnt really matter now.
People can just buy hacked accounts with everything already unlocked and cheating in general is getting very common in the game. BP cap seems like something that exists solely to annoy players

Not really much of a good reason for it. Plus you can still do it by cashing out finished challenges and using the shrine.

Cheaters can just go past the cap though.

It should be removed.

I mean I get it and I think the cap should be increased, but the developers did say why they didn't want to increase or remove the cap before
0 -
Well what was the reason?

I honestly forgot the reasoning it was a long time ago when they said something about it and I don't want to go looking for it

Which is a non-issue, but not everybody agrees for some reason.

It's to hamper player fun and potential. Every excuse defending the low cap that I can think of isn't good enough.

To make you spent bloodpoints.

IIRC It's so people can't stash 300,000,000 points and unlock everything new on everyone right away. I guess the thinking is that it gives people time to adjust to the new stuff which seems like a faulty argument since we don't often face the same person we just faced so it's 100% possible you still run into it a ton anyway.
I without putting in much effort saved enough points up to unlock boons and then get them on my main. As it stands you can still unlock teachable perks right away and with a few dailies or rifts saved have them on someone else entering a trial.
Seems pointless.
