A way to prevent tunneling, camping, gen rushing, SWF and make the game more interesting.
I would like to suggest a method to prevent tunneling, camping, and general toxicity from both sides, feel free to contribute to the discussion.
Survivor can't die while on hook for long periods of time. ie. countdown timer doesn't happen.
BUT
You can't unhook a fellow survivor for a certain duration, its a prevention to unhooking freshly hooked survivors.
60 seconds cooldown for the first hooked survivor, which can make killers choose who to hook in order to eliminate someone for 30 seconds,
the rest of the game will have 30/15/5 cooldown for each survivor remaining in the game.
when there is only 2 or survivors and 1 of them gets caught the hatch will instantly open,
there are only 2 options for the survivor, save the other guy or jump in the hatch, if you save the hooked survivor you'll receive massive BPs, but if you leave by the hatch alone, you'll receive the "Entity's favorite" match result.
"The only rule is there is no SWF, if there are no friendships left."
Edit: also it would have been cool if there is a 15 minute match timer.

I dont really understand by "it doesn't kill them, it's an unhook timer"

1. Borrowed time is basically the unhooking timer that you are suggesting
2. The hatch system already got a rework to prevent this kind of game play from happening
3. There shouldn't be a timer on the game because a match can go anywhere between 1minute to 30minutes and it would be unfair to the survivor side especially during a match when a team gets 3 gens side by side
Edit: the end game collapse should be the only timer

Sorry i miswrote that, i meant that you can't unhook someone for 30/15/5 sec once they've been hooked. and the hook shouldn't have a kill timer. so the killer should have to chase somebody else, its a way of securing someone in the hook for a certain period of time ie. 30/15/5 and also stopping them from being camped. this will also force survivors to not be greedy and going for 4 man escape since there is a cooldown on unhooking someone.

Not gonna lie not very good changes.
1. You mean the time where survs cannot unhook? That's really terrible if so.
2. Caught as in hooked? I usually down and search anyways. Hatch was reworked for a reason.
3. I see no reason for save bps or not or whatever.

- yes and also the hook doesn't have a kill timer so you also can't wait for someone to just die in the hook.
- yes
- but it would have been fun.

So basically your giving the killer a way to stall the game and and play the way they want you too sorry not a very good suggestion

That would really suck for a killer and kinda babysit survivors...
It's actually good to leave a survivor on hook for some time if noone is chased by a killer and used it to work on gens, and that's not something that should be forced.
Like end game collapse active? When you get hooked, you are ######### because survivors can't unhook you.
This change would cause a lot of problems.
And they should never create a mechanic that punishes only SWF in any way. That's just really bad for a game.

Playing with your friends is one of the big things in DBD. Even if you suck at survivor it doesn't matter because you have fun with your friends. They will never ever ever remove SWF in my opinion.
