Survivor queue times are getting worse and you know why
Because playing Killer is torture, especially with the Boons and now the new perk coming out further promoting holding W which is already strong against most Killers.

My survivor Q times are instant during the day in the EU with crossplay off.

Can't wait for AI Killers if they continue this path
12 -
I experience the same in the US, but that's only because there are far fewer people playing survivor during the day. In the evening it's a different story altogether. There aren't enough Killers so wait times are ridiculously long, and it's only going to get worse given how poor the Killer experience now is.
3 -
My q times are still instant as well.
Ofcourse, I play chill
2 -
People always say the same with this threads about q times taking a long time but they never really do.

"I think we did a pretty good job so far"
2 -
No, no, it's because of uh...a weird bug caused by rank reset and swamp gas off of venus causing the MMR to change and operate differently. It IS NOT because one side doesn't enjoy the game anymore. Stop thinking that. It's caused by a magic bug.
7 -
No offense but you can't tell someone else how long their queue times are your not them
I agree I'm east coast us and survivor ques take 5-15 mins each nowadays when last week it was maybe 1-3 mins at most

Understatement of the Century.

I know my average queue times since I generally stream my play and keep an eye on queues for that reason. So I know my average queue time for survivor at the prime time I play. Until about 2 weeks ago, it averaged about 3 minutes for a match between the hours of 7pm to 2 AM PST. Generally lengthening as the night goes on. Now I have noticed my queue length is longer than it used to be and is averaging closer to five whole minutes now, sometimes even 6 (so near double)
Killer queue is unchanged for me at those hours. 30 seconds tops, generally less. I won't speak of how queues are at different hours as I don't play most of those hours, but as someone who plays every night in the time frame I mentioned, I have 100% noticed a near DOUBLING of my queue length for survivor.
3 -
Apply that same logic to the OP then. Or is it not the same?
1 -
Apples and oranges homie
Your saying people are lying about their queues times and are wrong
He's saying his queue times are longer cause killers are getting harder and harder to play vs boon squads
One of these is a opinion and one of these a well accepted fact by the community
I'm sure you can figure it out
8 -
Can you quote me where I said "you are lying about your q times"? Because I never said that. Or are you pulling these "facts" out of where the sun doesn't shine?
My q times are still instant as survivor, so how is that? Werent you the one saying they arent? Or are you the one calling me a liar?
0 -
For me the survivor queue times are long only in the evening. Which makes sense, because that's the time when most people have time and friends can play together as swf. So even players who would play killer or not play at all will play survivor, because they friend called them in swf. So I think it makes sense that in the evening there are more survivors and queue times get longer.
1 -
"People always say the same with this threads about q times taking linger but they never really do"
Idk to me that sounds really similar to I'm right and your wrong does it not?
No I'm not pulling these facts of anywhere I'm basing it off the universal fact that if you give survivors a strong perk of obviously its gonna be harder to play killer just like if killer got a strong perk survivor would be harder that's a fact
Look man ik you got a heavy survivor bias but some off us see the bullshit of both sides
I never said your que times were anything I said mine take longer
At this point I'm really struggling to understand if you understand English properly I can help you if you need further clarification
9 -
During the day yes, me too. But I think OP is talking about peak hours, aka SWF time.
3 -
It has always been like that tho, it's nothing new. It's the opposite for killer for me.
During the day: instant for survivor, killer takes 3 mins.
Nighttime: instant for killer, survivor takes 3 mins.
2 -
Or maybe it's just my experience? So yes, my experience is right for me.
Q times have been the same for me since "strong perk" has been introduced.
I understand english just fine, even though it's not my first language, thanks for the useless remark :)

My survivor queue times are usually short, killer queues usually take noticably longer for me. Depends on time of day and night too, sometimes it's reversed, but I have not had 5+ minute survivor queues in ages. SWF queues are usually a bit longer, but also only very rarely hit 5min. I would not be surprised if there are still more people playing killer than survivor at high MMR.
I would like to see evidence of people having long survivor queue times. Whenever I watch streamers it's the same for them, they have pretty fast survivor queues, in regions across the globe. Maybe survivor queue times at lower MMR are worse though.
TrU3Ta1ent (UK) solo survivor queue times: 1min10s; 16s; 1min10s; 1min; 1min45s; 2min; 1min30s; ...
ZuabtLEL (CA/NA) solo: 10s; 40s; 30s; 30s; 12s; 35s; ...
Hens333 (EU) duo: 45s; 1min; 1min20s; 1min10s; 1min30s; 1min; ...
Can you show me VODs of people actually having upwards of 5 minute survivor queue times?
1 -
I'll probably be up early tomorrow morning. If I remember, I'll see if I can record it. 5-10 minutes at times.
0 -
I beg to to differ I play on Xbox with crossplay off I have maybe a minute wait. With cross play on pretty much instant match. When I play killer with cross play on usually have at least a 5 minute wait

Face-Camping and Butt-Dancing isn't nearly as satisfying with Bots.

I mean I could post my own vods where it averages 4-5 minutes now but that's generally a no-no to advertise.
Peoples times are going to be based off region and time. For instance no one you posted there is from my region. Zubat is East coast. Doesn't tell me much about prime time West coast queues. Maybe it's just west coast that is having this issue because people post "well I don't have this issue" but don't post the times they queue or the region. I am in US West, in Southern California, and my queues between 7 pm to 1 am average about 5 minutes now on week days.
Even Scott Jund posted a tweet a day or two ago about his survivor queues being way longer suddenly, and he's in the same region as zubat. He simply argued it was caused by some unknown issue and not from people leaving.

Killers like torture though.

Used to be my survivors queues only started to get longer at 10pm or so. Now they get longer around 8 or even 7. Typically I switch to killer when they start to take too long but I just can't play killer for longer than like an hour. It's too stressful and unfun.

I'm sure posting a link to a VOD of yours is completely fine, especially if it's done in the context of providing material for a discussion.
I haven't been playing lots of survivor these past few says, it's possible something did change and queues are longer now, but then I would also suspect it having to do with BHVR tinkering with things in the background rather than anything else. Other stuff doesn't happen overnight. And either way, those times I posted are all from streams within the last 1-3 days. And times differing with specific regions is well and all, but then it all the less supports the idea that it's due to people not playing killer.

Boons arent that bad. Im not afraid of them and neither should anyone else be. Theyre just worse versions of pre existing items/perks
1 -
Question! What is the better version of coh?
3 -
CoH is the best perk since the game started, dev's keep getting better and better. They deserve mad props.
0 -
Same here I don't really trust or believe people saying their Que times are still instant because I'm seeing more and more saying it's taking 5-10 mins for surv
1 -
It's the same for me. They're instant during the day and like 3 minutes at night, this with crossplay off, which supposedly would make them longer.

A medkit. You dont need to set up or go anywhere to heal with a medkit
1 -
Med kit is single. Coh is aoe. You know how many times i was saved cause of coh?
2 -
Yeah, playing with killer is a torture
0 -
CoH has nothing on old We'll Make It
1 -
Because Boon perks are the stupidest thing in existence which have become so bad they're a meme on how fast you can heal. I can go into detail but can't be assed, the developers know it's a ######### idea and will hopefully fix it. Killer is yes, torture for everyone, even the survivors. Fun is subjective but a majority agrees, Dbd isn't the "fun party game" we all had years back.
1 -
I so rarely see anyone get to use We'll Make It. I mean, they may have it equipped, but the killer always goes after either the unhooked or the unhooker. Either way, the perk has no chance to be used. I used to run it sometimes but the few times when I could've used it the person often preferred to instead go into a corner and Self-Care. 😩
2 -
Same. Instant during the day and around 3-5 minutes at night. My queue times are fine.
1 -
That's a good thing , lol. Perks are meant to be useful. The only problem is other healing perks/items stacking with CoH. Boon perks are actually balanced.
1 -
I think you may of misunderstood
the person I replied to claims that CoH is the best perk since the game started which is a bit of a stretch as if we look back at DbD's entire history it has a lot, and I mean A LOT of competition. But the most comparable is We'll Make It.
Every time you saved a Survivor you gained an additional 100% healing speed bonus up to a maximum of 300% for 2 minutes, the kicker is that bonus also applied to healing yourself
Here's what that was like: https://youtu.be/wV-0pZVfXHI?t=136
1 -
Oh! Original WMI back in the old days. Yeah, I've seen those videos. That perk was busted.
I can't believe some of the stuff that used to be possible in this game.

You don't even know what mmr you're playing in. Why does everyone claim without evidence that they are playing in high mmr?
As a survivor, it takes 5 minutes as a killer a few seconds in the evening. It's the same with friends. We usually have to wait around 5 minutes.
