Oh cool. I made a post recently about how bad the grind is, and how it takes about 4000 hours to get every perk on every survivor and killer using in-game BP gains only, so I'm really happy to see this.
My only problem is that I have around 4 group projects that need to be finished in this time frame, so I guess I can't enjoy it as much.
Well that sucks.

It kinda baffles me to see these sometimes but then I remember that I've played for 6 years and BP means almost nothing to me. But then it makes me think about NEW players.. and then I think about the absolutely insane paywall that exists, that as an old player I don't think about at all. 5-10 dollars every 3 months was never an issue when it's all split apart, but like.. as a new player joining the game, holy hell I can imagine that's a terrible feeling.
Makes me kinda wish we had occasional auric drops, or the.. other currency.. I can't think of what they're called but the things you can buy NON licensed dlc with. Why don't we ever get double events on those?

We all know the event will last into December. The game is going to break on launch and they will extend it as saying "we're sorry".

This ends before the next patch. Planned it so they could break the game after bloodhunt ends. 😂

Sadly they dont start the Bloodhunt when the new Chapter drops. But it is expected.

If I had choice between VHS beta and DBD bloodhunt I'd play VHS beta nonstop all weekend. Unfortunately I'm on console and we don't get to play VHS. 😭

They started the Beta 1.5hrs ago. DBD tweeted the Bloodhunt 3hrs ago, 1.5hrs before VHS.

There's an issue with updating the site for account registration. Keys haven't been sent out yet.

I think some people who already have access to the game can play, but nobody outside of that has a key yet.

Double BP with VHS Beta(I Laugh)! but either way wont play the Beta for the same reason i dont play the PTB, i like to keep everything new and fresh when its out on release.

Whyyyyyyy couldn't they make it after the chapter releases? If the BP cap wasn't a thing I wouldn't be mad, but with 1 million you can barely get a half decent build.

Exactly, I have less issues with the grind and more issues with that cap. They are my bloodpoints, and I need them... later!

Mclean (former dbd dev) actually stated in his stream yesterday that the cap was purposefully implemented and maintained specifically to prevent BP stockpiling and keep people playing/grinding when a patch releases instead of having them splurge their saved BP and getting all patch content on the first day.
So ending this double BP exactly when the new killer releases is 100% intentional to prevent you from reducing your grind on the new characters.

If it was to target people for the new chapter they would do bp event before every chapter but they dont.
I honestly believe its because they are scare of VHS and that a good thing, because maybe the game will get fix and people complain will finaly reach bhvr.

I started back in December of 2019. I bought all the DLC within two months. It was a daunting task at first but now that I own them all it is nice to be able to enjoy playing whoever I want.

VHS beta launches tomorrow, on the 25th. Directly alongside it this out of the blue bloodhunt suddenly appeared. I want to know the forums thoughts on this, is this simply coincidence or is BHVR actually afraid of the VHS closed beta? Is BHVR trying to bribe us away from playing the beta with bloodpoints?

Doesn't matter, if VHS is actually good game that will draw people in, some random bloodhunt won't do anything.

It's clearly a response. I don't think they are scared but they are taking it more seriously than other asyms because a lot of their content creators are just waiting for VHS to release and are now actively hostile toward DBD. Personally I think that Dragon Ball game has a better chance of being competition than VHS.

i really hope VHS becomes some what relevant. Not because i want to switch over. But maybe Competition AND being able to steal their ideas will get this game in to a better place.

Fortunately mankind has reached the stage of enlightenment where it's possible to enjoy two games within the same genre and play them both without trying to convince everyone else that you have to be loyal to one.
Much as everyone knows that you can enjoy both PC, Switch and PS5 games!

Not what im implying. Im just pointing out that if this is the case its a bit of an underhanded move from BHVR to keep the players who have rightfully been very angry with their choices recently from playing a game they might enjoy a lot more on its own. Which is lost money for BHVR. If they want people to stay, or play both of these games, they should be making smarter choices. Not bribing us.

This is not a coincidence. Bhvr is worried vhs will take away their player basis. Several developer's do this. Wow is releasing some event the week before ff14s newest expansion comes out. That was before the delay.

so what? Are you saying bHVR cant put a Bloodhunt in November because they never done it before? Like that is such a bad reason, You should stick to it being a response and refute @Mooks 's point about it being a closed beta instead.
Its a really good point, if its a closed beta why would it matter then? Do you think bHVR are trying pull people out of playing a Closed Beta?

Just to clarify, VHS tweeted that yesterday, so their Beta started at 10am PST today. That's ~90mins before DBD's Tweet about the Bloodhunt.
