We're gonna live forever & Pyramid Head
Hello,
I was just in a match with Pyramid head and I had "We're gonna live forever" perk.
Upon saving someone from the Cage of atonement (or whatever it's called), I noticed that I didn't get a stack.
Saving people from the cage is identical to saving people from the hook, so I don't understand why there's no stack given for this.
I believe this is an overlooked mistake and proposition that this action be added to the list of actions that get a stack for "We're gonna live forever" perk.

The executioners cages do not behave as hooks. The whole point is that hook related perks do not work on them.
However, they are called Cage of Atonement

WGLF definitely needs a buff. Personally I think saving someone from the dying stage should give you a stack. Generally when you're doing that you're doing it within the Killer's terror radius, so there's no reason why that shouldn't count.

All perks related to the hooks never worked with pyramid head cages. Just on of bucket head strength.

Cage are not a hook so any perk that supose to trigger after an umhook dont work if you got cage meaning no DS, no BT etc...

What are your overall thoughts on Conehead?

Cages fundementally work as hooks in the sense they "kill" you, but that aside they dont trigger any related "hook" perks as they arent hooks, the same applies to dorito head sending you to a cage, any perks that are triggered by being picked up or "hooked" dont work with him as long as hes sending you to the naughty survivors box.
Dorito head its basically an anti hook/loop killer, thats what makes him so unique and fun to play, that and being able to chop you in half in the last hook dying state

Meh, he can be fun both sides. Though bucket head can be the strongest and most frustrating to play against if he decides to hard tunnel you right off the start.

@jordanjustice We have 26? 27 killers?
And you complain about just one ;)
Pyramid head is not so often seen at all. And good ones are stuff of legends (sorry if any PH is offended).
That Cage of Atonement is unique in different ways. Guess unique stuff work different.

There would be no issues in and of itself in making cages grant WGLF stacks. Tokens affect bloodpoint gain, but don't give any in-trial advantage whatsoever. The hook-perk argument is not that sound either. There are already multiple ways to gain tokens, of which hook rescues are only one possible venue. So, WGLF is not an exclusively hook perk already.
BHVR doesn't probably want to go down that path, because there would be an uproar asking for cages to grant BBQ stacks as well, but that wouldn't be gameplay neutral at all. BBQ proc'ing would not only offer game-impacting effects in the form of aura reading and potentially even clue in to the potential location of the cage.
In short, avoiding the issue, BHVR also avoids having to deal with the pettiness of this community. For once, I can't fault them for that.

Really good point.
One change brings another to the doorstep, and a lot of people don't want to open that door.

Sorry for the late response...
I'm not really complaining about the killer.. just the perk.
The perk is useless. All it does is give more bloodpoints... which is what I'm all about.
Sure, when saving from the cage, its not technically saving from hook. That's fine. But, the perk is more just about the saving, and less about where you save from. Therefore, my proposal is that saving people from the cage should also be a stack to the perk.
This perk in no way affects the killer or helps the survivor out in the match. It's just fundamentally wrong to not get a stack for saving someone from the cage.
BBQ grants an in-game advantage. If they want to take away BBQ's aura readings, to actually make it as useless as WGLF, then by all means.. give them a stack for it. Or give them a stack, without actually showing the readings for this one particular example. Its just bloodpoints. Technically, the killer got the down, so the killer deserves the stack. Who cares.
I don't see a strong connection between BBQ and WGLF. WGLF has 0 in-game use. It awards survivors with bloodpoint bonuses off of doing certain feats that help other surviors. Rescueing another survivor from the cage is such a feat and should belong in the list of things that gets a stack for WGLF.
The list of things fundamentally wrong with this game is so long... I would just think doing this one simple, logical thing, would be easy enough for them to do.. One less thing on the list.

That's the point of cages?

As mentioned above, Cages prevent gaining any benefit from hook-based perks. That also includes all killer hook perks, like BBQ and Pop Goes The Weasel.
It's also worth remembering that Pyramid Head cannot send you to a cage if you are not Tormented. And he cannot inflict Torment on you by himself. All survivors can completely avoid Torment for the entire game by not walking through the trails or - if you really need to walk through one - to crouch-walk for the half second it takes to go from one side to the other.
Trails take a very long time to set, cannot be set near any survivor-relevant spots (gens, hooks, doors, stairs), last for 60 seconds before vanishing on their own, and have a limit on how many trail spots can be set at once. They're super, super, SUPER weak. Just don't loop in the area PH wasted time setting the trails for the 60 seconds it takes for them to go away and you never have to deal with cages.
I find that most people who buy into the "PH is super strong" hype don't actually know how many layers of restrictions and weaknesses have been built into his whole kit.

Neither does PGTW, or BBQ, or Pain Resonance. That's literally the entire point of his cages, they are a cage and not a hook.

Hmm.. It's def a power against DS, which can be its own discussion. Kindred should probably work, though.. Maybe... Although, Kindred is not really needed, as the cage is generally away from the killer and I believe the killer doesn't know where the cage is.
But with that said.. Kindred should probably work.. Its kind of useless, but it will tell everyone where the other survivors are, I believe.

When I saw the title of the Original post I thought it was talking about you.

I think that we should try making at least DS work on his cages for a ptb or something. OhTofu, a trusted veteran with legacy on like all his characters says pyramid head is S tier, and he's generally considered to be one of the strongest killers, so I wouldn't mind seeing him toned down a bit.
Also not to throw shade at anyone, but if you'd be mad about DS working on his cages you're a tunneler. Simple as. It doesn't effect you otherwise.
