Well my first match lasted about 4 minutes because I only had her scourge hook equipped. Her power seems interesting. I will definitely be back after further investigation.

I love her, I want her to stay the way she is forever. So much to learn and get better at. Sky is the ceiling.

Doesn't seem like much counterplay for the crows. She puts down crow, forces you into it, unavoidable damage. Should maybe be 110%?

Haven't had a chance to play yet but atleast the design department did an excellent job again

I'm glad that they changed how dire crows interacted with swarmed survivors as mentioned from the patch notes,
"Swarmed Survivors who contact an idle Dire Crow will now have their Repel action reset (previously, it would damage the Survivor)"
"These changes were made to help reduce The Artist's power to shut down unhooking, and also to make her less oppressive during short loops by giving the survivor a counterplay option."

Did 4 match with her, damn she feels weak when you're bad.

Not gonna be able to play her until tonight but she was fun on the PTB so I’m very excited.

Very powerful anti looper
The new scourge hook is very good imo

C3tooth makes good work.

First impression, felt pretty strong.
Impression after going against some groups of actually good survivors, felt lacking.
Side note: She gets completely wrecked on maps with lots of elevation, such as Haddonfield. It hinders the use of her crows tremendously.
Annoying note: Extremely frustrating with how much of a delay there is between placing the crows and releasing them. I'm finding I'm spam mashing control and waiting for it to actually trigger. The delay on place and release is very annoying.

Like Nurse

How would that increase her counterplay though? I feel like that would just nerf her in the exact wrong way. Still barely any counterplay but you can just survive longer by holding w, and get gens done even faster because she also has less map pressure.

I've played a few matches as her, but all those matches are ending in 3-4 minutes it feels like. It's actually kind of insane imo.
1 -
How did she feel lacking against good survivors? She can shut down loops insanely well.
2 -
still strikes me as a Deathslinger on crack tbh.

Solid killer...but my question is: I play on console and for some reason sometimes I hold the Power Button and the LOS of her Power doesn't seem to work. Does she need some free space to use her power?
0 -
Hold W basically. Also I was more excited for her long range sniping playing her kinda like a Huntress but the cooldown on the ability is too long to where by the time it's back up the crows are already long off anyway, even with addons.
If were left just playing her like a Hag cutting off loops that's pretty boring to me as well simply from a fun stand point.

Good is a big understatement for C3's work, bloody love their art

Shes hot
I gotta wait til tmrw to play, since automatic updates on Xbox are a lie :(

Playing on pc and noticed that as well, seems like maybe a bug? Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Not exactly... With Nurse, you know you're learning your mobility and you will improve.
Here I dont know, power goes back slowly, the new map feels really busted, and overall feeling ... Really weak.
1 -
i got her adept
so im happy with my new main

Bird Lady strong. Like, really strong. As in, only hell, "how is this killer 115%" strong.
2 -
Pretty powerful, and cute

She feels really difficult to play, like reallly, by the time you have crows on someone your power recharges and they have already removed the crows.
1 -
I just stop playing after 3 games of unfun.
No counter-play besides hoping she misses. it's impossible to miss setting up around pallets.
Like Pre nerf Slinger with full MS.
Looking forward to well deserved nerfs very soon.
12 -
I played her for 2 hours. Had crap perks, but i had fun. She's different and i hope she stays the way she is.
I still dont get the crows well, but i'll practise her more tomorrow

ending so soon cause you won, or lost?
0 -
they really are lmao

Not slinger, but pre nerf Pphead on crack. She forces you into an actual lose/lose situation without any counterplay. She needes some sort of cd, just like they gave one to pphead.
4 -
Just move away from her birds area of damage. that seems like an effective way to get rid of the issue

I have not played any of it yet. Not Artist, not Jonah, not the map. But, I'm loving what I'm seeing (not regarding Jonah though). The surreal, ontological vibes from both the killer and the new map. I feel like this setting is something we've been needing in the game.

it doesnt work like that. She sets it up a Crow in 0.5 seconds and loses little to no speed. If you move away from loop, free hit. if you stay at loop, also a free hit.
It's no brain "skill". Glad people are enjoying a strong Killer, but she is anti-fun.
2 -
very good anti loop. also pretty good gen defense and plain knowledge if you launch crows at gens/doors
although, i just wish there was more counterplay to her than simply holding W.

lost

As a console player I like her even though she ain't easy.
It's less about precision and more about map knowledge and knowing where and when to place crows. I've been able to get a couple cool downs with her.
My current build is: I'm all ears, Hex: blood flavor, agitation, scourge hook.
I do still worry about nerfs in the future that will make her clunky to play.

Massive skill ceiling, tons of ways to outplay her. Not too strong (surprisingly) but not weak.
Really like her.
4 -
Because that would make her too weak. It's good when this game has strong killers. We need more of them.

Same.

Honestly she feels perfect. Great counterplay, I had fun playing as her and against her. They really don’t need to touch anything about her. 10/10

She looks decent, to me a cross between Doctor’s level of tracking and Pyramid Head’s damage ability at loops. With a touch of long range damage possible.
The only thing I’ve seen that seemed slightly cheesy, possibly, was setting up three crows in a row at long distance pointing at a gen. It is possible to down a healthy survivor if all three hit (it happened a couple of times on the streams I watched). The main thing that makes it look a bit off is simply I’m not sure if a survivor would have time to react to avoid getting hit by all three or not. If they don’t have enough time to quickly move out of the way of the second and third crow it becomes an instant down from across the map with no warning.
I doubt this is a big issue overall either way, though, since setting this chain up takes a relatively long time, and isn’t something you can do while chasing anybody else. And it requires using all three crows at once, which means the refresh timer is also quite long, so if the attack misses it’s probably a bit painful for her. But it does feel like maybe there should be a short period of immunity between being swarmed by a crow at long range and being damaged by another long range crow. … Maybe. (If they did make that change I doubt it would seriously nerf her either way since it’s such a niche type of attack.)
So yeah, other than that seems totally cool. 🙂

Unfun to go against. Playing the new Survivor does not help, since Killers obviously tunnel the Survivor who most likely does not have DS.
5 -
I love her so far.
She is really good and fun to play.
She replaced that empty space from Deathslinger really well... Let's hope she will not end same.
0 -
I strongly disagree with this.
Play her for a bit.
Crows don't last that long, and if she's busy placing crows, leave that loop. It'll give you adequate time to move away.
The damage-range of crows isn't that far, and you can bait it much as you would a Huntress or Nurse.
7 -
I love her so far, playing as or against. I honestly don’t see how she’s hard to counterplay, if she starts overdoing crows at a loop just leave. Run through one if you gotta it’s not that big of a deal with how quickly you can get them off tbh.
She is by no means impossible to loop. It’s like hag, I think, people will just have to learn to use her power against her.
Holding w does not seem to be the way to go. My quickest downs with her are by sniping survivors who try that. Ppl seem to have a hard time remembering where I’ve pointed my crows once we’ve gotten far enough away from them. So far, I’m having great luck pointing them at a spot I’m pretty sure they’ll run to eventually, and in the meantime distracting them mid chase with newer ones that I’m only putting down to keep my first up longer. It’s like with one LoS blocker between them and it they lose object permanence or something.
2 -
That's definitely not a good thing. She might need more nerfs. I haven't played against her yet, so I can't really give my opinion on her.
1 -
Ah yes it's the first day and survivors are screaming for nerfs. What's new.
12 -
The artist
3 -
What did you expect? This happens almost every chapter from both sides, lol.
2 -
Yeah, but it's always so much fun how survivors were making fun of killers that had issues with boons, but now start crying in first hour :D
Killers do same for sure, it's just funny to me.
