Change pentimento from being useless

Pentimento would be an amazing perk if it could rekindle BOONS. But it cannot. Enough said?

The new survivor meta, especially in SWF, includes boons. So the perk is absolutely USELESS as nobody ever just cleanses a dull totem anymore. Especially now that they know there is a new perk that could be used against them.

Boon totem perks = MASSIVE anti pentimento counter. And it is rare to see a full team without it these days.

The worst part about it all is that boons can be redone infinetely...

It's a cool perk idea but with the boon meta, it is rarely useful.

If it kept its current status of can only rekindle broken bones once but could rekindle boons infinitely it would make the survivor have to choose to boon or break and give it some viability.

I keep using it, just to get some statistics for testing sake. But I have to combo it with ruin or some other strong hex perk to make it usefull. And even then... It is gone fast.

I agree, if it could turn a Boon into a Pentimento Hex as well as turn a destroyed totem into a Pentimento Hex it would be great. Survivors could rebless a Pentimento Hex to get their Boon back, making a tug of war over the spot, or they could destroy the Pentimento Hex and the totem is erased for both sides.

A tug of war I would mind a lot less than what it is currently :) Either both get infinite or non get infinite. That sounds fair.

That would be super fun ngl

And it gives the killer an idea or reason to find that damn boon

Generally speaking I don’t have a problem with Boons being replaceable and Hexes not. There’s no reason they need to work the same way, provided the devs balance the effects accordingly. Pentimento is special, though, since the whole idea of that specific hex is it turns something the survivors fiddled with into a hex totem, so for that specific perk I think it makes sense for it to work on Boons.
