Eyrie of Crows sound design is very bad for killer
As much as the new map looks great there is a very big issue with the audio, in that the constant ink blobs coming up from the floor sound like survivor noises
I’m sure I’m not alone saying I’ve wasted so long looking for a survivor that wasn’t even there because I could have sworn I’d heard footsteps or someone healing nearby, only for it to be the ink
If the ink sound effects could just be toned down so they didn’t mislead you it would be great

Or general crow noise makes Killer think a crow nearby is disturbed and searching for survivors.
Or map doesnt have grass for Trapper to even use power.
You lose by being out-map designed.

Sound design aside, don't even get me started on collision.
The map is beautiful but good god does it suck in basically every other aspect.

They also don't bother to hide totems anymore.
What is that even haha. Couldn't you at least put the totem between those books lol

Yeah, the gameplay design is bad too. The whole main building is one giant infinite.

Yeah i noticed that right away. Ink blobs sound exactly like bandaging/healing noises.

I don't know if it's just me, but I absolutely hate this map.
The constant animated oil looking thing distracts me and makes me think I saw someone moving, and there's this weird noise that you hear sometimes that sounds like someone is nearby healing.
It's way too bright and a lot of distracting components.
Also totem spots are just really weird.

I was looking for someone healing nearby so many times because of those sounds.
So not only scratch marks are buggy for a while, now you cannot trust your ears either?
Map looks amazing, I love it. But its just too big for some killers and for 110% killers the main building is just one giant house of pain

It is absolutely awful, and I honestly don't know what the level designers were thinking. Were they simply NOT thinking? "Pretty" does not equal "Good Map." Concept art is cool and all, and I'm glad someone got to model a lot of crows and sand, but this map is just ridiculously awful -- and I find it awful from both sides, but particularly bad for killer.
As a caveat, when I play killer I main and almost exclusively play Trapper. I cannot think of a single hidden trap place, unless it's maybe up at the crossroads in the tower. Even at the choke points for pallets, you can just... you know... jump down. I won't even bother going in depth as ot the rest of the map. Let's just say I won't need to use the "Darken Traps" add-on if I bring this map offering.
(Hint: I won't bring this map offering. In fact, I DC if it's brought, and if I get it via RNG, I typically AFK. I encourage everyone who hates it to do similar. Gasp.)
The times I've played this map using totems, I simply could not defend them. There's nowhere to place a trap that can block it off. And thanks to Hex: Thrill of the Hunt's nerf (thanks for that, btw, BHVR), it means I get no notification when a totem is being touched: there's no trap to snap. Similarly, I cannot defend central or other good-location totems from Survivors using Boon: Auto-Heal (and others).
From a thematic standpoint, I hate that the map is bright AF. What happened to concept of "dead by daylight," implying that, you know, you're being hunted at NIGHT, which is actually scary? If people want to amp their brightness, let them fuss with gamma settings. I suppose the moonlight offerings could be brought back (though they're before my time, so I don't know how effective they were).
Awful map. Just awful. Devs, please. Use the brain.
