Boon totems
2 months with those garbage perks now, game is completely unbalanced at high MMR and still not nerfed.
You guys really don't have a clue of what balance means.

They can have good moments and well, sometimes really bad moments, but for both: they are sooo slow.
Well, we can hope there will be something in mid-season patch.

They pretty much have never fixed the huge boring issues of the game.
- 4 survivors with meta perks ? still existing
- terrible unbalanced maps ? still existing
- game changing perks ? still existing
- camping/tunneling ? still highly rewarded
- performances issues ? still here
I could continue but what is the point, they care only about releasing skins. Everyone can check by themselves on the DbD Steam forum, they will see threads about those points from 2017. 5 years and they still have not fixed those bullshit design... How can the community accept it ? I dunno...
1 -
They've been telling people since 2017 that tunneling and camping aren't things they are actively trying to discourage tho...

5 years to build cable animation for generator btw.. what do you expect then brother ?

I know and what do we get today ? At least half the killer at high MMR are Camping/Tunneling = half your games are crap and totally not fun, it's just a long infinite chase for one survivor till death and gen simulator for the 3 others... I remember, from 2017 to 2019 i had a blast with DbD, i had fun most of the time and i was laughing so much in many trials. Now it's just frustration over frustration with a fun trial once in a while.
Just to compare with the recent competition Propnight, in 1 week, they have released 5 patches to :
- fix most bugs/exploits
- add an anticheat
- fix performance issues
- add a map (today)
- re-enable the proxy voice chat and re-enabled it
Such a small studio without money, able to do so much work to improve the experience is incredible.
Next to this you have BHVR, a millions of dollars company that is unable to listen to the community and clearly does not care that much to please the audience... that's unbelievable, they always find excuses for everything, it is never their fault... The last DDOS/hacking problem is just the most terrible example of how BHVR is communicating and handling things.

- FYI they currently usually do a balance pass about three months after a character releases, presumably because they want time to gather data and let the meta around a new character stabilize a bit. So we’ll probably see a Mikaela balance patch in the next midchapter patch in January or so would be my guess, including her Boons
- When you complain about “Boons” I’m assuming you’re just complaining about Circle of Healing since the consensus seems to be that’s the overpowered one and not nearly as many people complain about Shadowstep or Exponential. It’s important to distinguish between them as individual perks because the Boon system as a whole seems fine, the imbalance is essentially exclusive the one perk Circle of Healing that should probably have its healing speed reduced.

The boon system as a whole isn't fine though and this is coming from someone who switched to playing survivor and only runs boons. Boons as whole are in need in some restrictions on how many times they can be relit. The amount of time spent blessing is a totem is negligible and when bless over a hex a minor time sink at best. Sure one person isn't doing gens, but the time investment isn't such a waste that it sways the outcome of games out of survivors' favor unless absolutely no one else is doing gens.
Also, don't sell Shadowstep short. Info blackout is a lot stronger than people give it credit for, but unlike circle of healing he doesn't harm a shut down a playstyle.

I disagree, Shadowstep is a good perk but it’s not game breaking. Circle of Healing is the one that’s the problem.
And no, Boons and Hexes don’t need to work the same way, there’s absolutely nothing wrong in principle with Boons being resettable provided the individual Boon perks are balanced around that. You don’t need to change the entire Boon system just to balance Circle of Healing, or even Shadowstep if that were too powerful. All you have to do is adjust their specific effects (i.e. slow Circle of Healing’s speed down, or adjust the radius of effect for Shadowstep or how much or often it hides scratches or auras).

Alternately: boons could have charges, just like items. And if you're using the boon totem's effect, it drains charges away until it snuffs itself and has to be re-lit. That way, you could balance the number of charges around how powerful the effect is.
EDIT: Which would also discourage running a zillion boon perks on one person, because your totem would get drained to zero very quickly. That encourages the survivor team to run different boons, which 1) consumes additional survivor perk slots and 2) means more than 14 seconds of the survivor team is being consumed in setting boons up, which might actually help slow down gen repairs.

Isn't kinda funny that CoH is for every other survivors too, but blessing + healing is still faster than self-care?
Most annoying thing about CoH for me is that everyone can self-heal, but yeah it's 100% BS with medkit.

Yeah, it’ll be interesting to see what they do with Circle of Healing in their balance pass.

Who said they should work the same way?
I said there should be a limit to how many times they can be relit. That is in no way related to how hexes work. The functionality of Boons doesn't change, but giving a limit of say 3 times is not a big ask.
At best, that is twelve blessings spread across 4 players and at worse its three blessings that gives you just enough resource agency to light a blessing, and relight or reposition it twice. In my personal experience I've rarely needed to relit a totem more than once let alone more than three times.

- Time to gather datas to buff the Nurse and nerf the Pinhead ? Yea okay.
- Yes CoH, others can be strong but they are kind of fair.

FYI Pinhead was released in September and they just did a balance pass on him on this last patch three months later, tweaking a bunch of his add-ons and fixing Chain Hunt hitting survivors solving the box. (Nurse was released long before they implemented their current testing schedule, FYI.)

Yes but they just buffed nurse 1 month ago. Pinhead has been nerf while he is not strong at all, just strong against unorganized team. It proves that BHVR doesn't understand its own game.
They use stats without analyzing them to implement changes.
They move Dbd toward a competitive game (SBMM) but in the same time they do casual changes... (nurse buff for casual players, Pinhead buffs for casual players aswell).
