What's the worst DBD take you've seen?
It's what the title says, what's the worst DBD take you've ever seen?
Comments
-
That the game is competitive or balanced
34 -
Lol, got anything spicier?
2 -
Yeah, Boons and Trickster are the two worst additions to DBD since Breakable Walls.
No seriously. I hate them.
5 -
That Deathslinger is "barely nerfed" when they murdered him with 3 hard nerfs in one patch lmao.
The hate for this killer is so strong they are just okay with him being butchered.
23 -
That BM is appropriate.
22 -
Oh boy, Boons maybe but Trickster? That's some good #########
4 -
To paraphrase someone else, they shot him in his other leg.
7 -
Oh what were the other nerfs btw?
3 -
“Camping isn’t toxic” is the worst take I have seen especially at 5 gens
7 -
I've been accused of camping gens as a killer.
24 -
"Only psychopaths play Killer, so do the world a favor and #########."
That was a fun person to deal with
23 -
It depends on the context. I'll camp a survivor as GH to lure more people in, if I know they got friends nearby, or in the EGC.

This:
5 -
"Pig is too strong. She has no counterplay and is fun to go against. She needs to be nerfed asap!"
4 -
Seen somebody say Pinhead was a good killer lol
14 -
that rpd is the worst map in the game
7 -
"Just adapt".
5 -
Basically anything you read on dbd twitter comment section.
5 -
Yeah no In the end game any think goes but face camping at five gens is toxic. Context does matter you are right about that. I played against 2 camping leatherfaces today. I got out but it sucks and one of them was somehow a rank one.

'Do bones'
6 -
Pinhead is basically Doc, but less effective.

If you want to count it as a win then thats fine.
Still isn't an actual win though

I never facecamp. Doesn't matter if it would be a good idea i just don't.
Hell I've found that not being picky with your survivors is better than tunneling them in the egc sometimes.
1 -
He's actually a worse clown.
7 -
"Dead by Daylight is controlled by Survivor ideology"
Had to plumb the depths of desolation and perdition for that one.
6 -
Kinda is. The devs are all survivor mains and almost never play killer. Just look at the latest update, despite being the most iconic part of the game killers barely got anything (and they basically made GH unplayable too)
12 -
Someone told me that Sloppy Butcher and Thanatophobia are overpowered perks.
4 -
It's not just the quote, it's that that was his justification for why SKILL based matchmaking disregards any sense of skill in favour of what happens in the final seconds of a match.
1 -
SLOPPY BUTCHER? HOOOOOO BOOOY.
3 -
More the fact that someone is so deeply ingrained with their chosen tribe in this game that they unironically talk about its development like they're talking about government.
As the kids of 2021 might say-- kinda cringe.
6 -
Demogorgon is OP and has no counters
2 -
I just got camped by another one god damn it

In their defense,
Pinhead was very good when three things happened.
1.) You had Engineer's Fang.
2.) You had a full (or nearly full) slowdown build.
3.) You consistently got the Box.
With those three things, I do genuinely think he was better than Blight. However, one of those things has been nerfed, the other has been made significantly harder and one is unchanged.

i it what why

I'd put him slightly better than Clown, because he's better at medium pallet loops. Clown is pretty bad, but his speed bottles with extended duration add ons are pretty fun. Just go zooming around for like 15 seconds. Wish it activated a lil quicker tho.

- Body is 1 character too short.
10 -
I thought he was pretty bad in the PTB, and still bad now. He basically has to rely on Hoarder, and constantly go after, whoever grabs the box. His passive power is the only thing, he has going for him.
0 -
You don't really need Hoarder.
You can get a pretty good sense of where the Box is by running Lethal Pursuer and snowball from that.
1 -
Thana is such a crap perk. Idk why anybody uses it. All it does, is pretty much change the repair speed bar color.
0 -
Lethal Pursuer only lasts for a few seconds. I don't see it benefiting him much. It's pretty decent on Huntress and Nemesis for some early game pressure. I use it when I play Nemesis, so I can get my tier 2 tentacle quickly.

I have come to accept the box as a happy accident to get going and then just keep everyone slightly crazy.
0 -
"The games unbalanced cause the killers move faster then survivors".
1 -
The Box cannot spawn within X meters of a Survivor or the Killer. With Lethal Pursuer, you get to see where Survivors spawn, and you obviously know where you've spawned. This tells you pretty much exactly where the Box is, allowing you to get easy early game pressure.
Likewise, many good Pinhead's can pinpoint (HA) the next likely location of the Box when they pick it up.

Same

"Just do bones"
Both survivors and killers saying this to deal with different perks respectively.
5 -
Honestly, I've found that Lethal Pursuer to pick the box up immediately is often worth less than having another perk. As long as the box does get going at some point during the match, you can snowball the pressure pretty well.
But I also think Original Pain is probably his best addon outside of Engineer's Fang (especially with Engineer's Fang) because it combos so well with his playstyle.
0 -
That it's always the other survivors that cause someone to lose, and never the person playing as survivor who is moaning about it.
That ALL survivor/killer players are toxic because *insert whinge* whilst the player exclusively plays one side only.
That devs never listen.
That problems are always because of perks or other players and such, but never about their own mistakes, because goodness forbid they may be partially responsible for their own performance.
1 -
Early game pressure trumps late game pressure.
If you start strong, it's easy to keep Survivors on the backfoot. If you start weak, it's difficult to get a foothold and even harder to control the pace of the match afterwards.
But yes, Original Pain is very good and tbh, it should be basekit.
0 -
But if Lethal Pursuer doesn't pay off (and far too often, I've felt it doesn't--everyone spawns together, the map is just bad, my spawn is really inconclusive) then it's a dead perk and have no early pressure. The slightly-medium-game pressure I get without running it to push an early box feels like it works better.
Honestly, Original Pain being basekit and his addons getting a pass to buff literally any of the things about his M2 you care about (and not range, range, turning rate to make you miss, and CD reduction) would do a lot to fix his high-risk low-payoff problem.

The many times where someone in the same post defends "vent games" where you take your frustration out on completely unrelated players... yet never consider that whoever made them frustrated in the first place might simply have been using their seemingly God Given Right to do a vent game too, or that their actions might inspire others to go for a vent game. Really curious that one 🤔
