remove skill check on Decisive Strike
I can never get into the skillcheck. Whenever I need this perk, it absolutely does not work and becomes useless. I took it so that I would not be tunneled, but it absolutely does not change anything, because it does not work. I can never and never get into this complex skillcheck and I no longer even want to take it just because of this.
For heaven's sake take this away, I hate this skillcheck.

Agreed. Especially with tunneling being so prevalent now.
I also think they should reverse the skill check on 2nd stage of hook. If you hit the skill check, then you sucide, instead of trying to hit the skill check to prevent suiciding. It makes no sense, the developers want to reduce suicide on second hook stage, yet make it difficult to hit those skill checks toward the end.

The skill check works just like Flashlight save.
Count for 2 seconds and it will appear on your screen.
Focus on the arrow and press, by the third second you will be back on the floor.
Keep on practicing. maybe a skill check simulator will help you?

Its hard in the beginning, but if you work it... it becomes quite easy to hit. If it was that hard, Overcharge would be a meta perk... and it isn't.

Overcharge doesn't give enough regression to matter. It's bad for other reasons.

There is benefit to having the skill check in that it allows a player to save DS if they want to use it later in the match. I do genuinely think this is something you just need to work on yourself.
You are right, but the number one reason IMO that it sucks is that it is too easy to hit the skill check.

The perk is bugged and it doesn't amplify the regression as specified (apparently), but everyone nails the skillcheck... thats why no one runs it. It is bad for that reason, and that reason only. If you don't believe me, i will give you a compilation to look at.

If Overcharge was buffed to give a 10% regression, it would be run more often. It's a D tier perk, a 10% regression would move it firmly into C-tier.
(I consider C-Tier as balanced for both sides).

Yeah, maybe. Could be an interesting change that's for sure.

It could just activate like any other perk where the player presses a button, allowing the player to use it or save it. Dead Hard and Power Struggle don't require skill checks, they just give a button prompt.
I dunno about the OP, but for me the problem is that frame drops and inconsistent lag on console means it's not something that can be practiced. I sometimes fail normal skill checks (there are some matches where I'm constantly like "What is wrong with you?! I hit the button!!"), and those have a much larger success zone. It's not console or controller specific, I have the issue on both PS4 and Switch. When it comes to skill checks, the framerate issues turn what should be successes into fails.

Then you create the problem where people might be a little late on the press and start incorrectly complaining that the perk is bugged. Skill Check very plainly sets the time frame in which DS is active.

lmao people miss it? you guys are funny

I also think this should be a big one or leave it completely.
I tried it at the beginning but i am on PS4 - and fps often is not as fluid or stutters a bit so that you miss it.
So i never used it again.

God, the perk was created to prevent the tunnel. But you are telling me that I have to learn how to hit the skill check. It doesn't depend on my skills, but on ######### fps and luck.

Idk man, seems like a you problem. I hit it regularly

All skill checks in the game should scale up and down based on your MMR. If you're a new player like the OP here, their skill checks should be easier than they are now. If you're a 1000+ hrs pro, who escapes 9 times out of 10 and always played with 3 friends, your skill checks should be absurdly, near-impossibly difficult.
Put the "skill" back in Skill Check.
