[Brown] Rat Liver - Increased movement speed while charging Of The Abyss to +6% (Was +3.5%)


[Brown] Rat Tail - Rat Tail now also increases the speed at which you place portals by 35%


[Yellow] Sticky Lining - Sticky Lining now also increases the time to seal a portal by 20%


[Yellow] Viscous Webbing - Viscous Webbing has been reworked. Your Shred attack now charges 10% faster.


[Yellow] Rotten Green Tripe - You traverse the Upside Down 25% faster (Was 15%). You now also receive a 5% haste status effect for 5 seconds upon emerging from a portal.


[Yellow] - Mew's Guts - Mew's Guts now has a new effect. Decreases the cool-down of missed shred attacks by 15% (From 11%). Increases your shred movement speed by 15%. (Your shred does not go any further, it only increases the speed at which you complete your shred).


[Green] Eleven's Soda - Eleven's Soda has been reworked. Gain a 5% haste status effect for 5 seconds upon destroying a pallet or breakable wall with your shred attack.


[Green] Thorny Vines - Thorny Vines has been reworked. Survivors hit with a fully charged shred attack are afflicted with the deep wound status effect. Additionally, healthy Survivors who destroy an opened portal are put into the injured state.


[Green] Brass Case Lighter - Addon has been reworked. Brass Case Lighter now allows the Demogorgon to charge its shred attack for an additional 0.25 seconds, which allows the attack to go further.


[Green] Vermillion Webcap has replaced Violet Waxcap and its rarity has changed to Rare. Vermillion Webcap now extends your undetectable by +5 seconds when emerging from a portal. (was +3 seconds). Vermillion Webcap now also reduces the sound of your footsteps by 75% when you have the undetectable status effect.


[Green] Lifeguard Whistle has replaced Deer Lung and its rarity has changed to Rare.


[Purple] Upside Down Resin - Increases the time for survivors to seal a portal by +75% (From +40%). Any survivor within the radius of an opened portal is afflicted with the Hindered status effect. This effect persists for 3 seconds upon the survivor leaving the radius of the portal.


[Purple] Unknown Egg - Unknown Egg has been reworked. Upon breaking a wall or a pallet with a shred attack, all survivors within 16 meters of you have their auras revealed for 5 seconds.


[Purple] Leprose Lichen - Leprose Lichen has had its rarity decreased to Very Rare (was Ultra Rare).


[Purple] Severed Deer Head - A large, severed deer head that reminds the Demogorgon of its past victims. Severed Deer Head Provides the following benefits:

  • Reduces the cooldown of missed shred attacks by 10%
  • Decreases Shred pallet break cooldown by 10%
  • Decreases Shred hit cooldown by 10%
  • Decreases Shred door break cooldown by 10%


[Iridescent] Red Moss - Red Moss no longer increases the time to emerge from a portal. Additionally, Red Moss also removes the map wide sound that survivors hear when the Demogorgon teleports.


[Iridescent] Iridescent Claws - The Demogorgon can no longer launch a shred attack until it is fully charged. Your shred attacks have an increased 30% range and 20% movement speed. Hitting a survivor with a shred attack from over 10 meters away immediately puts them into the dying state.


BALANCE CHANGES

  • Increases the speed at which the Demogorgon places a portal by 50%
  • Increases movement speed in the upside down to 25m/s (was 20m/s)
  • Increases the speed at which you enter a portal by 30%
  • Upon pressing mouse 1 before your shred is charged, instead of performing a basic attack you now will do the minimum shred distance.

    You put a lot of work into this, so let's take a look (Demo is my second main, after Hag).

    • I'm okay with Liver. 3.5 is pretty decent for a brown. The core issue with shredding is how telegraphed it is and how easy it is to juke.
    • Sure.

    • I'd rather something like 'your Shred travels 25% faster and charges 10% faster'.

    • I like Mew's Guts as is. When I play my 'blinder' build, the extra portal is really useful.
    • Soda is amazing as is. Forms the core of my favorite build.
    • Either of those effects would be fine, but both together are a bit strong.
    • Lighter is perfectly fine as is - run it with Mew's Guts and you've got basically permanently blind survivors. It's amazingly evil.
    • I like whistle as is. Combined with sticky lining and you've got sonar stations. Could probably be a green though.
    • Cool.

    • Sure.
    • A bit bland for an Iri. Iri's typically change the playstyle of your killer up. I'd rather have it be something like: 'Portals are invisible to survivors. Traversing the Upside Down is now instant.'
    • I like his other Iri as is. It's incredible on so many maps.

    If I was going to give Demo a small buff, I'd reduce the time it takes to fully charge shred, which would make it a bit less easy to juke.

    I believe they've stated that they can still adjust The Demogorgon. It's less likely that they will, but I believe that has been said.


    Anyways, here are my thoughts. Sorry that it's long.

    Rat Liver - Whenever I see a suggestion for Rat Liver like this, where it just ups the number, I always kind of groan. This addon was never good, since it only applied to when you fully charged. It didn't change your speed during the channel, so this ends up doing barely anything with either value. It'd be funny for meme games where you're always channeling that Shred, but come on...

    Rat Tail - I actually quite like this. We could use an addon that speeds up Demogorgon's set up.

    Sticky Lining - I mean... sure?

    Viscous Webbing - Shred's current charge time is 1 second. With this, it'd be 0.9 seconds. Could maybe do some very situational things, but I'm against this idea. I don't want Demogorgon to have wind up addons like Huntress. It makes Huntress pretty unfun to go against, it will probably make Demo pretty unfun to to against.

    Rotten Green Tripe - Yes, please. Love the haste idea.

    Mew's Guts - Unlike Viscous Webbing, which is a lot like wind-up addons, the idea of the new effect of Mew's Guts, which is similar to Huntress' hatchet flight speed addons, I like this, even though Demogorgon already moves at 18.4 m/s, which this would make a clean 19 m/s. SPEEEEEEEEEEED.

    Eleven's Soda - This is... alright, I suppose. Don't like this as much as Rotten Green Tripe's haste. This could be a bit too oppressive with Barb's Glasses.

    Vermillion Webcap - Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes. PLEASE...

    Thorny Vines - Kind of steps on Deathslinger's toes a bit too much, I'd say. Maybe just the portal part, while also giving an increased sealing time for the Survivors, could be nice.

    Brass Case Lighter - How often do people genuinely fully charge Shred? I don't think this is a great idea, sorry.

    Upside Down Resin - I could see this being used kinda like old Lifeguard Whistle, back when it afflicted Exhaustion, where you use it as a small chase power. This is an interesting idea. I like it.

    Unknown Egg - I love this.

    Severed Dear Head - I find this... kinda stale? Like, I understand that this is trying to rival Barb's Glasses and Black Heart, but I feel like people would just end up using this with one of those two for min-maxing.

    Red Moss - Would really like to see this just kind of become basekit. Demogorgon shouldn't broadcast to the entire map that they're teleporting twice.

    Iridescent Claws - Another Iridescent addon that gives Demogorgon a new playstyle, going for long-distance Shreds. Here's my issue, though. The issue with long-range shredding right now is that you can barely turn with Shred, so it's pretty easy to dodge the Shred if there's no obstacles. I do quite enjoy the idea, but perhaps, instead of 20% faster Shred movement speed, this addon could give you a 20% increased Shred turning rate.

    I really like the balance changes for the most part, but I'm not so sure on the last one. Could make Demogorgon a bit too easy to play, being able to Shred way too early. Could make a lot of loops uncounterable against Demogorgon.

    These are just my thoughts. Sorry for the wall of text.

    For the final apart about the shred, it would really only help newer people learn him better because they wouldn't accidentally m1. I don't think it would help veteran players too much, kinda like how Huntress and now Plague don't have to worry about accidentally canceling their power.

    Perhaps I'm misunderstanding it, but it sounds like someone can charge Shred for 0.2 seconds and still launch a Shred. Considering how fast Demogorgon can go during Shred, I think this can make it uncounterable in loops.

    I like all of these.

    I'd rather see Undetectable as a whole just remove sounds from Killers entirely.

    No. The minimum you can charge a shred is 0.65 seconds, and the maximum is 1 second. During the first 0.65 seconds, you are not slowed down at all.

    As the best Demogorgon main of the forums (/s), I'll go over your changes. The basekit changes first:

    Old Rat Tail felt really good to use, it being basekit would be nice


    Faster teleport is nice, the 0.5 Meter increase won't be much but it's something


    Faster Portal entering is a really good change, it would help a lot in cases where you're trying to save your Portal from being closed


    This is ok, it would really only help beginners, but won't be that useful to older players


    Add-on Changes:

    Rat Liver

    This is meh, since Demogorgon only gets slowed down when the Shred is ready to be used, Rat Liver doesn't help much


    Rat Tail

    It already does this so I don't know what your rework does


    Sticky Lining

    That's a good addition to this Add-on


    Viscous Webbing

    That's a really good rework. That will help with getting some really nice and quick Shreds


    Rotten Green Tripe

    Seems really useful, especially when Survivors start running away as soon as you teleport


    Mew's Guts

    Can't tell how much better the Shred would be if it was faster


    Eleven's Soda

    This would be really good against those ShiftW Survivors


    Thorny Vines

    The first effect seems good and fine on it's own, but combined with the second effect might make it a bit too good


    Brass Case Lighter

    Good rework, would work really well with Viscous Webbing


    Vermillion Webcap

    While it certainly is more useful, stealth Demogorgon still wouldn't be that good


    Lifeguard Whistle

    It replacing Deer Lungs was such a good idea

    Great changes, though 75% might be a bit much

    I don't know how useful Aura reading would be

    I would say that Severed Deer Head is a little overpowered.

    This is basically a combo of 3 addons. It should be like "Ghostface On Tape" addon. Buffing a chase power(shred cooldown + pallet break) but nerfing the other part (shred wall break increased,portal speed decrease/portal reduce) or something like it.

    This is what you put. "Before your Shred is charged" indicated to me that it was "before the 0.65 seconds".

    You can already charge a Shred an unleash it in 0.65 seconds so from the way you're describing it, it sounds like this means nothing.

    It is very strong, but don't forget that its a purple addon. I modeled it after Billy's old Carburetor tuning guide, which is just a slight stat increase for every aspect of the kit.


    I think I just explained this part poorly. If we look at Huntress for an example, if you charge her hatchet but let go too early before it reaches the minimum charging threshold, increase of sheathing the axe, you will automatically do the minimum charge required and throw it immediately.

    I want the same thing for demo, if you press m1 too quickly while holding shred, instead of just doing a basic attack, you will instead queue up a minimum charge shred for 0.65 seconds.

    Iri add-on is too complicated. I think it would just better if it had a simple effect such as

    "Survivors who are hit by shred are put into dying state"

    Its more simple and it has powerful effect of instant down without any downsides.

    Another aspect I'd like to point out is your "Mew guts" add-on would I imagine would be very complicated to code. If I had take a guess for how demo's shred works.

    For every 0.1 second after 0.65 seconds you charge shred, you go further in distance by increasing duration that shred works for, let's just say for example that a fully charged shred is 1 second shred time. Shred is like 460%, which is static number. your only going further with shred the more you charge because dash duration of shred is getting longer. basically it would be very hard to increase movement speed but not increase shred distance.

    Calculating a formula that reduce shred distance(duration) equal to amount of movement speed gain wouldn't be worth effort for making the add-on.

    Another comment I have about this add-on is that shred missed cooldown is not relevant stats for demogorgon and I would say it would be better to split add-on functionality between your ultra-rare and other add-ons. I would probably rework it to something like this. Reduce number of add-ons because 30% range and speed combine together is a bit nutty.

    • Decreases Shred pallet break cooldown by 20%
    • Increases Shred range(Distance) by 10%.
    • Increases Shred movement speed by 10%
    • Decreases Shred hit cooldown by 15%.

    Likely speaking with these add-ons. Severed deer head+Iridescent Claws would be strongest combination for demogorgon, though your average demo match would probably be Severed deer head+Elven Soda.

    i'd like to dream of positive changes for killer but I feel like there isn't too much positivity to go on for killer lately and I doubt dev will really improve killer to a good level for higher-level dbd killer.
