I don't know much about Blight addons, but what's wrong with Alchemist's Ring?

Im not saying it healthy for the game but a blight with alch ring has the similar counterplay to one without it. You learn how they play then counterplay to that. So if a blight loves to use his power you pre drop the pallet so he can't get any ring value and if he just walks up to the loop and plays it as a regular m1 until he breaks the pallet to use rush then greed the hell out of it cause it will take much more time than if he were to break pallet, rush, regen all tokens, rush again. Or you could just.... use strong loops against him like main buildings and T/L's.

I mean knowing how to run it correctly then it is strong against blight. Depends on the blight though. Since most blights are usually average the best they can do is hug which is easy to counter if you know what to look for.

Because some killer add-ons should be allowed to be strong, especially if they're pink and purple rarity. If you went down quick to Blight with Alchemist's Ring, you'd go down to Blight without it. His rushes can be dead angled, just like with Oni or Hillbilly. It's just more convenient for him not having to wait for a massive cooldown (in the grand scheme of things) for simply using his ability before he can use it again. Killer add-ons are supposed to improve their power, aren't they?

The thing is, predropping Pallets can remove those ressources pretty fast. Especially if you have to drop it during the second or third Rush, those do replenish quite fast.
And while "not getting hit in the first place" is the best, "getting hit after as many Rushes as possible" is the second best. If I manage to dodge 3 Lethal Rushes and only get hit by the last one, I basically did the second best thing (making him use as many Rushes as possible). But Alchemist Ring removes this, because you dont have the luxury of a few seconds until he can rush again and also the Speedboost you got because of the hit is meaningless.
So, no idea why the Devs keep this Add On (and his Speed Add Ons) in the game. At least the Alchemist Ring should be a clear case for anyone who is not either clueless or biased. Even Blight-players know how busted this Add On is, since many of them used them when Add On-Changes were announced for a Mid Chapter Patch a few months ago (which only turned out to be Buffs to some of his Add Ons).

The thing is a add on should improve your power and the more rare it is the stronger it should be so what add-ons should he have since ring and speed add-ons are hatet by the survivors his power don't leaves much room for different add-ons

10 seconds isn’t massive. For reference legion takes 20, spirit takes 15 and demo teleport takes 10. You’re going to go down to a ring blight much faster in a lot of cases because he can instantly rush after the cooldown is over.
Add ons are supposed to improve and or change a power. The ring removes something blight needs to be balanced

Blight is just over rated killer.
Alchemist ring is not OP at all. As previous posts say. Prethrow pallet or let him miss rush = tokens have to regen.
1) Playing against blight. If he rushes you in open field, you start to wiggle and try to 360 or swap side he is looking at. At the end that flick depends on mind game roullete.
2) If you try to loop around cars or any smaller loop. It is simple. Once blight starts humping car/going to look down it is clearly in hug techs so he will slide. Instead of standing still and reward him with a hit, take 1-2 meter AWAY from car or loop and he will miss the flick, becouse he expects you to continue clipping
3) Same logic as 2) goes for LT.
4) In most gyms blight loves to thing: Pinball to slap you at window and likes being carpenter to clear out pallets
Pallet vacuum is called for a reason. Blight will always prioritise destroying pallet instead hitting you in mid vault. Therefore he has to have his FOV almost 90 degree vs pallet.
Blighted crow is definetly more broken then alchemist ring.

That the day will come when people will learn how to counter blight, and alchemist ring wont have any great impact on the chases.
But right…its easier to nerf rather then learn how to mindgame against blight

yeah you can counter a blight that plays without using unintended techs easily the thing is thats not how good blights play i dont have a problem with a bad blight using alch ring doesnt mean in blight current form its not op

tbf alchemists ring is only good for map pressure but in a 1v1 chase it isnt as broken as ppl claim it to be. No one says you have to run in a straight line and build distance after a hit... especially not against a blight, instead of your typical hold w maybe use your brain and run behind good and big tiles or obstacles so the blight cant make much use of his rush.
Maybe start trying to adept instead of complain.

They have tweaked other Blight add-ons since his release, so they must have determined that Alchemists' Ring wasn't that bad in the data when they were doing a balance pass on him last year.
Personally I have no opinion on it one way or another since there's no public match data to go by, it's all anecdotal how good it may or may not be and I don't play Blight often enough to be that consistent hitting with his Lethal Rushes. 🤷♂️ It does strike me as an add-on that is highly skill dependent in that if you can't really reliably hit Lethal Rushes you're not getting nearly as much value out of it, but if you do hit them it's like have an always ready catch up mechanism after every hit which I am not surprised Blight mains find really, really useful.
Really objectively the only way to tell for sure if it's too powerful is compare a bunch of matches of highly rated Blights who use it versus high rated Blights who don't and see what the impact is on the kill rates. It's questions like this when I wish we had better access to game match statistics, I'd be really curious to see how it breaks out.
