New Killer Suggestion - The Thing
So I've recently been thinking about horror creatures/enemies that would make good killers in DBD and would also introduce new unique techniques and game mechanics that survivors would have to deal with. After some thought into it, I came up with The Thing.
How would The Thing work in DBD?
The Thing as a killer would have two forms - Disguised as a survivor and its creature form.
What cOULD The Thing do in its Survivor form?
In its survivor form, The Thing is unable to attack and injure survivors (except with maybe an Ultra Rare add-on). In its survivor form, The Thing would be disguised as one of the survivors in the trial and can run like a survivor as well as interact with gens however The Thing would of course not be able to actually repair a generator, instead The Thing would be able to disregard the repair of one survivor working on the generator eg. If no survivor is on the generator then The Thing would be able to regress the progress of the generator, If only one survivor is repairing the generator then repairing would be halted/paused - This could then be an indicator to the survivor(s) that the Killer is with them. The Thing while disguised as a survivor would also not be able to pickup items and would not have any charms attached to their clothing (as The Thing cannot replicate metal). To injure a survivor, the Thing would have to transform into its creature form - This would take maybe 3 seconds.
What cOULD The Thing do in its Creature form?
In its creature form, The Thing can attack survivors. It would have a movement speed similar to Nemesis and also an M1 attack similar to Nemesis. The Thing would have a running charge M2 ability similar to Blight however unlike Blight, The Thing would not be able to bounce off of walls in order to continue its running charge.
The Thing's Power: The Thing would also be able to place traps inside of Lockers but only in its creature form - This would involve The Thing going up to a locker and removing one of its arms and placing it inside the locker. When a survivor attempts to enter a trapped locker, the arm would burst out of the locker and grab the survivor, injuring them. The survivor would then have to remove the arm from them (much like when a survivor has to remove Victor from them). By default, The Thing would only be able to trap a maximum of 3 lockers and there would be a cooldown of 40 seconds between The Thing being able to trap a locker, when the cooldown ends, the arm would re-grow/form on The Thing. Add-ons could increase number of max trapped lockers, reduce cooldown, inflict status effects, reveal auras etc etc.
In both Survivor and Creature form: When The Thing passes by fire on a map, The Thing would let out a shriek and their aura would be revealed to survivors for 3 seconds.
When transforming to Survivor, the Thing would transform to look like one of the four survivors in the trial. The survivor that The Thing would transform into would be random. I'm not 100% sure on the mechanic involved in transforming into Survivor form because obviously as the killer, you wouldn't want the survivors to see this. Perhaps it could involve the creature form burying into the ground and then respawning disguised as a survivor coming out of a nearby locker or perhaps the creature form going into a locker and coming out disguised as a survivor.
Survivors could also be added such as R.J. MacReady and Childs.
For this killer to happen, obviously it would require Behaviour to get a license to use the characters in their game. I'm just putting my ideas out there to see what people/players and potentially even the developers think.

I was just thinking about this today, and I'm so glad someone else has done the majority in writing it out. I guess this means one of us is not who we say we are...*eyes you suspiciously*
To prove that I'm not you, and you're not me, here are some constructive additions I recommend, in complete support to this thread proposal:
The Thing (Killer Powers)
In its original monster form, it's not very mobile, but can shoot out tendrils that pull survivors into its attack range.
In its survivor form it can work on generators, but it regresses rather than repairs. It would only take one survivor to cancel this out, and one additional survivor on the same generator in order for repairs to resume. This factor could increase survivor/killer gameplay.
Transformation mode is a wolf form that can run at high speed to get out of survivor eyesight. But it cannot injure survivors in this mode. An alternative to this mode is the wolf being able to bite survivors as a mechanism that aids the killer in selecting their survivor disguise. The killer may transform into whichever survivor they've bitten, even ones that have already been sacrificed out of the match. After being bitten, survivors could be given a timer or opportunity to cure themselves from becoming the killer's disguise.

Oooooh, I like those ideas, Especially the wolf form.
I hadn't even thought about a map at all but of course this makes the most sense :)
