Wiggle Bar Menu Option?

I know this might not be a concern for everybody, but I was wondering if I could recommend an option to choose which form of wiggling you would like to use (if the skill checks makes it live).

Could we have an option to either use skill checks OR A/D keys/joystick?

My concern is that the skill checks pull your attention from what is happening around you, allowing you less information while being carried.

This also makes the interaction between the skill checks and Power Struggle more difficult. From what I've seen, the perk isn't that popular, but because you're focused on hitting the skill checks instead of spamming more "mindlessly", you might miss that you walked through a pallet and not use the perk. Does hitting spacebar while beneath a pallet still use Power Struggle or is it overridden by the skill check?

These are just a few concerns and was offering if we could have an option to choose which version of wiggling we would like to use. For me personally, I would prefer the spamming over skill checks and want the option to keep doing this.

I never had the chance to get Power Struggle working. You need to press your key to activate it? It doesn't work automatically? (It's always super fast when I see someone on stream using it, I never noticed they used a key for it.)

I really hope they make the new wiggle skill checks optional, I actually like the current button mashing because it feels interactive like I’m actually trying to escape the killers grasp. Having skill checks everywhere makes the game feel like it’s on auto pilot

Hmm, being distracted while the Killer is carrying you and you're struggling does seem both mechanically and thematically appropriate.

I hope they make the new wiggle mechanics optional. I don't particularly like skill checks for everything and I prefer the current way the wiggling mechanic works.

I hope it's optional. I preferred the struggle change on hook, but I would rather do the same wiggling that I always have.

Agreed. As someone else said earlier, it also feels more interactive, like you're legitimately trying to struggle away from the killer. Skill checks don't feel that way. I also prefer the skill checks on second hook state, but not for wiggling, personally.

On top of that, I've been testing how fast you have to "spam" and it isn't fast at all. You can take about 0.7s before you hit the next key to keep wiggling. I would assume skill checks are going to be around the same speed, if not about every second instead, being only slightly slower than you actually have to go currently.

I REALLY hope they read the feedback on this and make it a menu option which you would prefer. Allow accessibility, but don't have away the option from players who don't want/need it if it is only really for accessibility.

I also hope they make it optional.
