After reading the developer updates, I couldn't help but think that removing the unlockable masks for The Cannibal was such a knee jerk response to the feedback regarding racism and how it was being portrayed. Removing the cosmetics entirely "cuz racist" is punishing the entire community, and not singling out those who actually went out of their way to be racist using said cosmetics.

So here is the crux of the problem: The reporting system is utter garbage. I've seen plenty of people be incredibly racist, abusive, and toxic in general, yet they still play the game. It's the same with hackers as well. I report them every time I see them, even make additional reports, they still play the game.

BHVR needs to implement a better reporting system so that these people actually get banned (and stayed banned in some cases). Riot has an automated system that works: Any hint of a racist/homophobic etc. slur in game chat gets an instant 14 day suspension. The point is, if BHVR had a much better reporting/banning system, then the toxicity in this community would go down by a sizeable amount.

Instead of removing cosmetics because people are using them for racism, ban the people who were racist. It can't be that hard. Then again, this is BHVR, since when do they ever listen to community feedback?
