RPD just got even worse
RPD is one of the worst maps in the game, we can all agree on that. It's huge, confusing and has plenty of infinites and God Pallets, but it can get worse than that. It's possible for the whole middle section of the map to not spawn any Hooks, making it impossible to hook a Survivor

Just when you thought the Hellscape couldn't get any worse

I have two things to say about this:
- No, we can't all agree on that. RPD is one of my favorite maps. It's aesthetically appealing, and I 4K almost every game I play on it, regardless of killer, including a Merciless game with Legion yesterday where someone in the endgame chat told me "gg, you're insane" (I was proud).
- While I was playing that game, I turned around after a down and a hook was right around the corner, and I specifically thought, "The hook distribution in this map is really good. I never have to go very far to hook a survivor. This map could be as unfair as people say it is otherwise what with all the stairs and hallways." So I do hope you're exaggerating.
I gotta say, I don't think any of the crying about RPD has ever had even the remotest point of validity so far (other than it crashing people's games when it was first released), but I don't like the sound of this.
Can you provide any more details on what exactly you mean? Are there no more hooks in the lobby, or what and where?

Oh joy, the overly large mess can avoid putting hooks in like the only (comparatively) easily reached place in its entire bloated carcass?

Don't mind the bad image quality
There were 0 Hooks in the lobby, the Hook on the left is the one in the library, which I couldn't get to, due to it being too far away, aswell as the Hook on the right

Now that you mention it, last time I played on RPD I had the same situation.

I was at the bottom of the stairs on the left, behind library hook (idk how to better describe it) and literally couldn't see a better hook than the one in the library. Thought he was gonna wiggle out there for a second.

Yeah, that sucks. Getting downs in the lobby when the hook there was already used for a kill is the only time I've ever had trouble hooking anyone on that map. I can't remember any not spawning there at all, though, but maybe I just don't remember?

there's a hook just up the ladder, and several on the sides. It's likely that someone is using Kate's perk and if you don't have a good memory, you're going to miss the chance to hook,

TBH I've never actually had any real issues on RPD. Probably because I play the games though, and have the maps memorized :-)

Whenever I load into RPD and I find the killer AFK somewhere, I'm not even surprised. I'm actually more surprised when the killer bothers to try.

I'm never really gonna understand why people think this is a hard map for killers. Is it just because it's indoors?
There aren't that many god pallets, unless you count the ones in the middle of the hallway, and those get done pretty quick.
Then again, maybe it's just that I play a lot of M1 killers. Michael and Ghostface do great on RPD; you'll never see them coming until you're hooked. Legion also does fine, just because she can vault pallets and catch up to players quickly. Clown struggles a bit, but even he has it easy if you're running something like The Third Seal (survivors aren't able to find each other quick enough to unhook before they die).
I'd imagine it's tougher on killers like Blight and Nurse, what with all the cramped spaces and chances to accidentally phase through the floor, but I don't play them, so I don't know. I'd imagine Huntress and Spirit do fine.

The last time I've played on that map I had a Claudette hiding in the bathroom in a very dark spot, literally pitch black darkness, just by looking into that direction and sticking my eyes closer to the monitor I could see her being there, otherwise I would've missed her completely. The hook placements and the overall outlay of the map are absolutely terrible.
The room that's to the right of the middle section, on the bottom floor, the one that has a vault to it, then a loong a$$ loop with a pallet on the middle right side of the loop, then an exit at the back of the room, that loop itself can literally win your match as a survivor for your team if you know how to keep the killer hostage there... Stupidiest loop maybe in the entire game.. The map is hot garbage. Aesthetically it's very pleasing, but gameplay wise is the worst, by MILES. Heck, even Haddonfield is better...

I like RPD, most of the pallets are gameable and it has a nice look to it. Aside from occasionally getting a little confused on it I haven't had a problem with it.

Boil over gives the killer the red boil over debuff icon which doesn't exist in the picture meaning the survivor doesn't have it.
Also what ladder?

I'm gonna have to disagree I really enjoy RPD it's scary as a Survivor killer could be up or down and playing as killer is also being able to cut off a survivor cause you know the map is pretty fun.

I had a game as survivor against Ghostface today, and we got stomped. See my previous comment.

There were no offerings that impacted Hooks spawns, nor did I have a Hook behind me
