Circle of Healing is fine
I don’t understand why killer mains want circle of healing nerfed AGAIN… They already boon ranges smaller and they already took out the stacking from other healing perks which was the most busted thing in the game combined with it. So, what’s the biggy?

The range nerf was a placebo nerf imo. That nerf had 0 impact in the perk.

A free medkit for everyone on the team using only one perk that covers 1/4 the map (or 1/2 the map if it's a 2 story place like The Game) that directly counters multiple killers (Legion and Oni specifically) and directly counters the ability for the killer to spread pressure (wonder why tunneling has become so damn prevalent) and the only counter a killer has to it is to try to stumble upon it at some point so they can kick it and make it brea...oh, make it disappear for a mild inconvenience to the survivors as they just go back to it or find a different totem to bless again.
Yeah, it's a mystery why killers think it's OP. Guess we'll never know...

Can we stop with this? I don't have a lot of problems with CoH either, and I play both sides. It shouldn't stack with MedKits and other healing perks. Problem solved.

Also - not it isn't.
They didn't take out the stacking from other healing perks. It's still a thing, which is why those 4-5 second heals are possible.
But aside from this:
- It projects through walls and floors, meaning that it can literally cover half of a map.
- Certain positions (RPD library is the best example) are so effective that even if you know where it is, snuffing it means you fall behind.
- Giving everyone a souped-up self care completely counters several killers, Wraith being the best example.
COH needs a nerf. You know it, I know it, every streamer that has opined on it knows it. It's unhealthy for the meta and just rubbish to play against.

As someone who plays more survivor now (before it was 50/50 each side), I’ll say COH is a problem. Was playing earlier,
and happened to be against a legion… needless to say they struggled getting a 1k because we were able to mend and heal and do gens. They do need fixing so they aren’t as strong. You factor it in with multiple people using it - which there usually are, and it becomes a nightmare.
I did a killer ritual a few days ago, loaded into the game… 4 survivors running boons, all of them active, one was using all three, 2 using shadow step. Saboteur, breakout, BT, DH, flashlights. Thankfully by endgame they got greedy and three died after one had already been pushed out of the exit gate and I clutched a 3k (2 had been deactivated due to them running me into them, and the 3rd from one leaving). Before that I’d managed a couple of hooks, got rid of a few boons but once they were snuffed they were back up, everyone was healed instantly and I couldn’t do much. (And no, no NOED to help in endgame, or any other perk for late endgame pressure - just their cockiness lol).

If you put up a boon, it takes 14 seconds, and 1/4 of your team is occupied doing it. Your team as a whole loses 3.5 seconds.
If a single heal takes place in range of the boon, 16 seconds is saved, meaning your team as a whole gains 4 seconds.
If it takes the killer any more than 3.5 seconds from hearing a boon to walk over to it, stomp it, and get back to what they're doing, the survivor team has gained time.
A tool which was designed to keep survivors occupied on something other than generators is almost impossible to use in a manner that doesn't BUY the survivors time.
This would almost be acceptable if it were limited to a single survivor, or stomping the boon had a more permanent effect. Instead we have a perk which takes a single perk slot, and gives 8 perks to the survivor team. THERE IS NO WAY FOR KILLERS TO PLAY AROUND BOONS THAT DOESN'T LOSE THEM TIME. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation, where both stomping it and not stomping it are losses as the killer and that's really unfair when it's been well known for years that one of the biggest issues with the killer role is the constant time pressure.

Counter Point: No it's not. It's over-tuned and makes healing way too quick.
Plus, boons are broken AF because they're infinitely replaced. A Killer literally loses time if he does not Snuff or loses time if he does Snuff.

That isn't true. I've said before that killer isn't as balanced as it could be (not going to mention all of the things I'd like to be fixed on the killer side, but I do have a list). In this very thread I said that CoH did need some changes as well.

Of course its fine when survivor main says it. Try playing killer on higher than 0 MMR and you'll notice how SWFs are abusing boons and map offerings.

"Nerfs" during the PTB aren't nerfs, they're catching really obvious problems before they go live. PTB versions of things aren't official, they're beta and often get tweaked before release
The devs have already said Mikaela's balance pass just hasn't come up yet, they're still monitoring the Boons and such. So it's not a question of "if" they'll do a balance pass on all her perks and add-ons, including Circle of Healing, but "when". Could be around March? 🤷♂️

So just got out of a game against a Legion...should have been a easy game (yes even in solos) but i got a not so great team. Elodie jumped in a locker right in front of him and right after Claudette went down to deep wound. He had four hooks before we finished our 1st gen....considering we were solo i thought damn looks like this going to be one of the few games I lose.
Nope...3 man escape only poor bill didnt make it. This was with no boons and obviously not a great team. My solo survivor experience is mostly wins.

I would be fine if they just removed self-heal part, then it's We'll make it for everyone and it would still be used for healing builds and group healing would be super fast.
Or just nerf the ######### out of self-heal so it's self-care 2.0, you need teammate / medkit or you are going to waste a lot of time, but someone thought that medkit speed is fine... Funny is that bless + heal is still faster than self-care.
The fact that you don't ever need your teammates to recover is what makes it broken imo.

The most elegant solution (as has been suggested by others):
- Boons now break when snuffed.
- CoH no longer stacks with anything else.

That doesn't make it broken, that makes it useful. You can't rely on random teammates in solo.

heres the thing. if perk A makes perk B useless because it does the same thing but better. why would anyone ever use perk B. as in Why would you ever use Self care when you have COH? if you set up a totem and heal its still faster than self care let alone giving the whole team the ability to self care and 2x the speed as well. so 1 of 2 things is going to happen CoH will be nerfed or Selfcare will be buffed. neither is desirable for killer side or survivor side. ever wonder why killers tunnel and camp you out of the game? cause there is a good chance if i hit you and let you go you will just heal up. so the most effective way is to tunnel you until you are dead and move on.

Don't forget about Inner Healing. Both needs a totem to work, but one of them works only for you and once per totem...

Circle of Healing is inherently flawed in its design.
Shadow Step and Exponential are powerful but have fair counter-play, killers can decide to not risk slugging and become more attentive in chase to circumvent the lack of scratch marks or aura readings. Furthermore, these two boons REQUIRE the killer to be within the 24 metre radius for the survivors to become empowered, which gives the opportunity for the killer to quickly snuff it out, especially after a down.
COH in contrast, doesn't need or want the killer to be within the radius. Optimal usage is to place the boon in a corner of the map next to completed generators, pushing the killer into a lose-lose situation where if they go to break it, they lose generator pressure. If they ignore it, every survivor will remain healthy and also kill their ability to pressure the survivors, especially if survivors keep running to the boon. The only time COH doesn't feel extremely oppressive is when a survivor goes down next to it, providing fair chance to break it before hooking, which is funnily enough what SS/Exponential allow you to do by their design.
This is the problem. COH is powerful, but it's oppressive due to how the killer is placed in a massive lose-lose situation. With the other two, this isn't the case, often, the value you get can swing to the survivor or killer depending on the outcome of the interaction within the boon.
But making COH only work if the killer is close to it will completely destroy its viability and everyone will use med-kits again. I don't think this perk can be in a balanced spot, it's either trash or overpowered IMO.

No.
DS for example was a busted perk and received several nerfs, now it isn't useless and it's still a meta perk, but way more bearable for the killer and feels fair, there are almost no killers complaining about DS anymore, except some cryers. Wanting to a busted perk to be nerfed is not wanting it to become useless.

Yes it kinda does make it broken in combination with the fact it has 0 counters because one perk allows all survivors to heal themselves up quickly which kinda deminishes the main point of breaking of chases and injuring survivors. In other words, playing this game in a 4v1 fashion becomes insanely hard for killers with no map pressure. There are no counters because survivors can literally re-boon the totem and it's definitely worth re-booning as the killer will have to go out of their way to snuff it out.
If your whole argument is based around the fact that solo survivors are not reliable enough to get yourself healed up, then allow me to introduce the wonderful and balanced perk: SELFCARE.
