Boons are too powerful and its taking too long to fix them
My last message was removed because I was not civil so I will keep it so. The response the devs have given towards boon totems is inadequate. It shows a complete lack of urgency for the real outcry that boons are effecting the game negatively. I have played hundreds of hours and both killer and survivor for years now. As much as I use to hate self care as killer and the new dead hard changes with hit validation, these boons are universally agree by both killers and survivors that they are too powerful. Every single game I have played as survivor someone brings boons and it normally single handedly turns the game around.
I see countless posts about this as well as every person I talk with in game weather they are killer or survivor all agree that they are too strong. Everyone was expecting, no, HOPING for some kind of nerf or change to boon totems. Countless members of this community have given constructive criticism towards boons since they came out but the devs response was "We dont want to get burned for being too hasty". Well regardless, by saying you will not do anything you have inherently upset many people who were hoping for something.
If the devs need to hear this then let it be so, DO SOMETHING! Dont just do nothing and say nothing. If you want feedback, MAKE A POLL in game! You've done that in the past for killer suggestions, why not for feedback on a legitimate problem? You want more feedback? Scroll through the forums! There is hundreds of posts here about possible changes. The most common change I have seen requested was to make boons a one time use some how. Either killers can fully break the totem so it can't be replaced in the same spot or make it so the survivor can only place it one time!
Regardless something needs to be done and everyone is waiting for it!

Just do bones.

Devs in their passion to collect data waiting for perfect solution are hurting their game much more than they think

This is the exact mentality I have been seeing from many players who play killer. Both new and vets alike

im thinking either have the boon on a token system, like they can only apply it twice. or each time you bless a totem, it takes 10% longer each time you bless, so if u bless 4 times, thats 40% longer to bless, so survivors would actually be wasting so much time trying to bless a totem just for it to be snuffed out

This sincerely made me laugh :) thanks

Since Mikaela was released in October, DbD has lost 10,000 players on Steam, or roughly 20% of their users.
I'm not saying it's a direct causation, but there is a very strong correlation between the advent of Boons and the fact that 1 in 5 Steam players have quit Dead By Daylight.

Thats no a bad idea. Seriously, more ideas. Keep them coming. No matter how ridiculous they may sounds or seem. If the devs are at a loss for what to do then we need to give them ideas

I see. So they need to be changed.
As you have not provided any indication as to how, or for what reason, I will assume you just want change.
Change for the sake of Change will be the following:
The data type used to store the action speed will instead be a Float instead of a Double.
Pack it up boys, what a productive day.

He rather complains about the approach of developers...
You have so many posts where people talked a lot about how and why to nerf boons (CoH). There is also a thing as redundancy.

I guess you should just watch this, accept it and move on...

As much as I do enjoy the joke, it is quite a bit different.
4 survivors cleansing 5 totems and people complained for years.
Now you have 1 killer cleansing multiple totems again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again.
Your options as killer are either 'doing bones' infinitely, or being forced to just endure the trial with it up constantly.(Something survivors have never had to do).
This wouldn't be so bad except each boon is the equivalent of about 2 perks, and they stack on top of each other. So as a killer you either have to spend your time hunting down and cleansing boons are just dealing with all survivors having an additional 4 perks for free.
I'm not complaining, but when you put it into writing against hexes, the very same thing survivors have complained about for years...
Hexes are a one time deal, most of which either are underwhelming as perks in general so they're never used, require steep activation requirements to even properly use, and most only offer one benefit for the cost of being perkless the rest of the game once it's gone.
It's no comparison. So while I do enjoy the 'do bones' joke that never gets old despite being told a million times, it simply doesn't have the same meaning. Even if you do bones as a killer, they're still gonna be there.

Well but the point... it was a joke. Noone i think is telling seriously that the solution to boons is "doing bones".
Being forced to repetely doing bones is exactly the main issue.
It is like saying the solution to dead hard complains is just "hit more".

Not to long ago I made a post comparing hexes and boons.
Boons are to strong as they're high reward and low risk simply because of unlimited amount of time you can relit a totem. And hexes are high reward and high risk.
I even give some boon nerfs and hexes buffs only if the nerfs aren't taking seriously.

this argument was stupid when killers who crutch on noed to get a kill in the endgame said it and its equally stupid here even when said ironically.
