Why do you need Furtive Chase?
There is only one killer in the game who can benefit from this perk. This is Michael. But it is not exactly)

I used it for a challenge once.

That's the neat part, you don't.

Its a key component to rancor roulette

Switching around the obsession. And ghostface adept
That's about it

the perk is good if its pair well but i dont think ive ever used it outside of adapt achievement now i gotta make a build for it cause ive always been curious to make the least used perks usefull somehow

How was said above, you don't need it unless you want to switch obsessions from hooks (Nemesis is better imo) or meme builds.

Dude, that's a brilliant idea!

The only practical use for Furtive Chase is to swap Obsessions a lot, and even then Nemesis does something similar but has a better actual effect (i.e. making the Obsession Oblivious is much better than the killer’s terror radius being reduced in a chase). They really ought to change Furtive Chases’ main effect to something useful.

Furtive Chase is not THAT bad but its not a good perk either, also M&A overrides it because having a small TR before chase is vastly superior than during chase so if you want to mess with your TR M&A is always the superior choice, I wish they changed it so the reduced TR lingered for ~10 seconds after ending a chase, this way if someone escaped you he would have a harder time to know if they really escaped or you are lurking close.
If you like Rancor shenanigans you should try "Surprise Rancor", Insidious+Rancor, stay put for 4 gens, then find the Obssession, act like you were afk and you are throwing the game, goof around, wait for the 5º gen and SURPRISE!.

Rancor Roulette...I like the idea...
Aside from that: Dying Light + Furnitive Chase can be funny and I sometimes use it on Hillbilly and Oni. I chase one Survivor, another one does something else (Gen, Healing, Chest whatever). I rev my chainsaw or charge my spring and aim for the other survivor who does not hear me and go for them. Furnitive Chase allows me to reduce the reaction time of my victim. Sure, very situational but it feels pretty sweet when you do it.
You can also use it on Myers. He only has 16m Terror Radius and you can make it 0 in chase with 4 stacks if my math is correct. Never got to try it but also a pretty sweet idea.

Myers benefits much more from M&A since his looping is not very strong, surprising someone with a 8m TR and getting a free hit is his main strength, M&A increasing your TR by 8 during chase effectively neuters Furtive, plus you have to pick 2 aura related perks and thats not really a good idea on him.
I main him and tried it several times, I had better results with M&A alone than M&A+Furtive or Furtive alone, the combo having the worst results because it required me an extra perk slot.

I need Furtive Chase so the survivor I'm chasing is having a hard time hearing my TR. Top Tier perk if you ask me xd

Rancor, Furtive, Nemesis, Noed......Obsession changes so frequently can't catch up. Also you can rancor more than one survivor if you get the obsession changed.
Furtive is also good for current Dead man's switch.

Oh and have you ever had a game where you kill your obsession to fast or they DC? Losing STBL, rancor, etc well it protects from that too as you can switch obsession even if one obsession died already.

nemesis does what furtive chase is meant for better than it

I think the idea of furtive chase is that you could chase a survivor and then switch to another survivor who was caught ofguard cause of the lack of terror radius.
Problem is that that's a very niche scenario and that the vallue's just aren't good enough for it.
If it reduced the terror radius by 8m per stack you might actually see it have effect once in a while. It would still be meme tier but atleast the good kind of meme tier

Furtive chase + Make your choice for hooking obsession challenge with killers like Wraith.
Otherwise it's an useless perk with a dumb design.

To switch the obsession around to get maximum value from Dead Man's Swi-
oh nevermind

If the perk did the exact opposite, it sounds fun. If your TR got smaller outside a chase it sounds like a potential jump scare perk.

I used it exactly once, for a meme wraith build involving furtive chase, nemesis, MYC, and dead man’s switch, with the idea being to continuously instadown and hook obsessions to trigger DMS.
And now even that won’t be necessary anymore because they’re changing DMS.
