FPS drop when hooking during the lunar event

Any time I hook a survivor and the event animation happens, my fps drop from ~80-90 to ~40 for about a second. I've been playing Wraith but I doubt that's relevant.
Specs: GTX 1060 6GB, Ryzen 7 3700x, 16GB 3600Mhz RAM, 2560x1440p resolution, Low settings preset.
