This game needs offline mod ASAP.

For me as a new player its frustrating to try new killers, It seems ridiculous to start a character and play with him/her all the time and then try a new killer in ranked matches. There should be an offline mod with bots to train your killer/survivor skills and learn more about maps. You can tell me there is private game mode for it but thats not the same you can just learn about maps on private game and everybody doesn't have that much friend to train killer skills for example I don't. I think there are a lot of people who agree with me, but why hasn't anyone questioned why there is no offline mode in this game?

Let me be your voice and support me!

Oh, many people have questioned this, me included for years, but the devs are too lazy to add it. The fanboys will say that they don't want to divide the community or some dumb ######### like that but making an online-only game already divides players especially since the game isn't newcomer-friendly, and if the game "is so strong and popular" as people make it out to be making an offline mode for training or just to have fun without the stress or annoyance of other players wouldn’t affect the games online player base. But it ultimately boils down to the devs being lazy and prioritizing making a new UI that the majority of people hated over making this that will help the game grow from people saying it's getting boring or the grind of its repetitive gameplay

The devs can't be bothered to spend 30 minutes fixing stretched res cheating, so do you really think they're going to make an entire offline mode?

Oh boy, here comes the fanboy(?) ig. Aka me!

Because, that just doesn't make sense. New game modes would divide the playerbase or... do nothing at all and that new or old mode would be forgotten. Training-esque wouldn't.

Personally, I don't care about an offline training grounds. But people do so I wouldn't mind if it got added. +It would be easier to test some stuff out without needing friends to play customs.

  • It already exists. It just can't be played by/against anyone other than Trapper at present. It'd probably take all of thirty minutes to add the code making it playable by or against other killers. The AI probably wouldn't be good against a lot of them, though, so you'd still have to do most of your practicing in online games against real people.

Not sure I want it added, either, though. An offline mode means significantly less people playing online at any given time.

I mean, you just make offline mode not give any rewards (which it shouldn’t). Then the idea is to only use it as little as possible.

  • Back when I used to pirate all my games, I would have loved this idea, but I'm actually glad I was forced to buy the game and play online with other people.

If there was an offline mode, we'd all be complaining that the AI was trash and then the devs would have to waste a lot of time making the AI work better when there are serious problems that need to be prioritised. Remember, they only have 850 employees.

number of employees doesn't mean anything these days when you got teams of less making better games

it 100% makes sense cause the devs theme selves have said that adding an offline would divide the community, which again is stupid if you have faith in your game then adding an offline wouldn't affect that player base at all, but sense they said that they must think the game wont survive with an offline mode. And yea the mode could possibly be forgotten but guess what the game it self can die and then what you dont play, but offline allows you to not have to worry about relying on others to play the game you like.
