How the things go
Devs destroying every sigle perk that can do at least something in that game. Boil over comes to meta? okay we now spawn 3 hooks on all highgrounds and nerf the wigle progress so u can do ######### with that perk. Wait, we have scripters using auto DH why not nerf it? No, ppl will cry again, so we let hackers use script forever!
same goes for bugs, same goes for all other perks that could be playable at least. Nerf to ######### thats the main agenda. Buff useless perks? no, we wont do it
Flashlights? Ppl crying about flashlights? Okay we nerf spawn in BW to 0.5% so u will have only toolboxes and aid kits.
Even if 1000 years will pass, there will be only 4 playable perks in that game and tons of nerfed useless bullshit.
Thanks devs, for last patch with nerf again, and doing nothing with real problems again.
Look, i can predict the future perk setups for next 100 years :
DH, DS, Totems and ubreakable.

First off boil over never entered the meta for winning the game only for griefing the killer.
Waaaaaaaaaaa the devs fixed exploits that made survivors invulnerable in certain circumstances waaaaaaaaaaaaa

it never was the exploit, it was a chance to escape in some circumstances, it was worth to play with it, for now that perk is useless as it was before

I had two survivors I couldn’t hook last night due to hook distance and running to the edge of the map. I had to just slug until they bled out. Fun 😒. Also had a survivor I knew I couldn’t get to basement because of weird drips while going down the stairs that shouldn’t happen. Survivors are still finding it useful to the killers aggravation.
I had an instance last night where I actually could not go forward while touching a fence and was being pushed backwards due to boil over.

Actually it isnt, and it was exploitable like on the rpd library. The point is to make it easier to wiggle out, not garuntee it every time.

On rpd they added 3 hooks in library, it was maps exploit, not the perk. So why nerf it? Whole poin of the perk was to prevent killer from jumping and make him go straight, now he can jump from stairs like there is no tomorrow and wont get punished for that. Perk is almost useless now

Wiggle out shouldn't be messed around, it is extremely dangerous mechanics which can break game easily, and boil over was breaking the game.
Still strong enough thanks to struggle effect.

Whole point of wiggling as is is forcing killers to hook in close position, and boil over WILL buff it tremendously.
It is still useful and strong, just not instawin for survivors.

I don't think the point is to make it easier to wiggle out, but make it harder to reach farther hooks.
Thus, It somewhat counters scourge hook.

It was making it harder to reach hooks, now it doesnt matter. Boil over doesnt increase the speed of wigle, now for jumping is no punishment so all that perk has is stronger wiggle but it doesnt rly matter, killers easy can go for any hook like it was before

It shouldn't matter, no perks should be able to just undo a chase killer has done.
Boil over basically does increase distance between hooks, thus reducing the location killers can hook you... and which is extremely important.
And do note it hides auras of hooks within 16meter too, so killers can easily miss out closest one and let you wiggle free.

You are forgetting that now, boil over has an increased distance where the killer cant see hook auras. Its not almost useless its just not exploitable.

Ok this entire post is obviously a Sluzzy alt account because everything about the responses are the same how they would respond....but here I go LETS FEED THE TROLL......ahem.
Ok Boil Over never made it to Meta like everyone said. The instant 25% for each "drop" was being abused on maps like RPD which never spawns hooks in the library......yes that was a map issue and they fixed it, maybe going a bit overboard with the hooks but a fix never the less. The Perk also was being abused by forcing the Killer into spots where the fastest way to a hook is dropping off a ledge that lets face it a 2 ft drop would trigger it because they for some awful reason thought using Balanced Landings script for it and we all know how well that perk procs on just about every fall big and small.
The change to Boil Over doesn't make it useless you still get the massive wiggle effect on the Killer, Boil Over still speeds up your progress, and you get a % added to the current wiggle progress at drops, just not a flat 25%. So at this current junction of the conversation your point is moot and you have sadly been proven wrong by multiple people in this post.
But if that's still your opinion then by George more power to ya......just please come up with better counter arguments then just saying "No Your Wrong" in some way shape or form.

Looks like you are blind or playing different game. Boil over never speeded up the progress of the wiggle, it only increases its power which doesnt mean ######### to killer. Looks like you are one of the killers who got rekt with that perk many times and now you are happy that it was nerfed

I never got tricked into getting "rekt" by it because if I saw them going to a exploitable spot I just slugged them......if they had it and I didn't have Iorn Grasp I slugged them. Besides most decent survivors don't use it for the exploit , like me for one, we used it for the wiggle effect. And it does effect the Killer greatly, if a Killer doesn't use Iorn Grasp then they can't even walk in a straight line.
Am I glad it got nerfed....yes because giving it a flat 25% for each fall was too strong and very exploitable. The new value has diminishing returns the more your wiggle bar is filled. Boil Overs Buff was a example of the Devs deciding to Buff weaker perks without thinking things through....like they said in the last Q&A when asked about Buffing things.....
But thank you for not disappointing me by continuing on the everyone who doesn't agree with me is wrong wagon.....I mean doesn't that get old after a while....
