Survivor 'action' icons will nerf stealth killers and perks...
IE - Killer is Ghostface...you know when they're in chase and not need to worry about observing the area for as long as the chase is up.
The same applies to any stealth perk, as well.
If I'm wrong in thinking this, let me know!

These killers are already low tier so maybe their powers can be reworked after. Sometimes things have to get a lot worse before it gets better.

In solo queue, sure. But then, the whole point of this was to somewhat closen the gap between SWF and solos.

While you're not necessarily wrong, I somewhat doubt the impact is going to be that big?
This was already only a thing against soloq players, and it's also already a thing that sometimes happens anyway- if you're chasing the obsession everyone already knows that you're in a chase and that they don't have to check their surroundings, and there's a number of info perks in the game that can tip people off already.
It'll be slightly worse, but bluntly, it's acceptable collateral. The change is still a good one, and adjustments can be made from there to bring things in line again.

Almost all stealth killers lose their terror radius in chase though?
Wraith would be cloaking/unloaking.
Pig is slower croutched so wouldnt chase croutched.
MAYBE you could argue it for ghosty but he typically is revealed mid chase
If I'm doing something and I see a survivor run past its typically unfolds like an episode of Lassie

Sorry if it is unclear.
Pig can be uncrouched and chasing someone on the other side of the map.
I have no idea of her physical location, can't hear her TR, etc but know I am perfectly safe to complete gens.

Also, if someone misses a skillcheck while their teammate is in chase, they can see if the killer is opting to drop chase and investigate.

Of course. It will be probably the single biggest buff survivors have ever recieved. But don't worry, in 4 years they'll buff killers!

Well it depends. Might also be an interesting idea to allow killers to see these icons as well. It closes the gap between solo queue and SWF on one hand but also closes the gap between killers and SWF.
This is just an idea I'm throwing out there. I have no clue whether this would turn out busted for killers or not.

Anyone have any ideas on the buffs killers can get to offset the unlimited flow of information without breaking the game?
Should said buffs be universal?
Tailored to each individual killer (will never happen, though)?
What about the idea someone mentioned regarding killer seeing these icons, too?

The diary post to me does not read at all like killers would receive a buff at the same time. In fact they specifically state doing this is so they can "better balance killers" which implies balance around this won't come until after it is implemented. It's a horrible idea to push this idea through unless giving killers a lot in return. Queues are very long for survivor, game is losing players, killers are quitting. The smart move isn't to give survivors a massive buff that makes killer basically a joke role and then maybe in years they'll see about buffing killers. I actually think that will either kill the game or need to be completely rolled back within a week. Killers will just not play if the goal is to make solo as strong as SWF and then maybe fix killers months or years later. I am so confused by how we have serious issues with queues and how the devs borderline admitted killer to survivor ratio is really bad, but we're still going full force on doing things to exasperate the issues. The "solo buff" needs to come with a very very big killer buff in the same patch, but I'd bet money it won't.

I think if the killer can see all of that, then it's too much info for the killer. But it also is unfair if the survivors just get all of it for free. I do not see how this can be implemented without either greatly unbalancing the game or requiring a lot of changes to core aspects of the game. Like a lot.

To me, this is going to be no different than when the obsession is being chased. Sure, you'll be more alert when no one is in chase, but I feel like when you know it's a stealth killer you're on high alert at all times anyways. I don't think it'll do as much as you think but change how often you're on high alert.
