every single Survivor I talk to, including 3 different twitch streamers and their discord friends, are ALL 100% ALL, glad the Nurse is gone right now and hope she never comes back
She is a hated killer, and I have said the same thing in many posts. Her design is stupid and should have never gotten past the development stage. A killer who goes through walls is stupid. It breaks one of the core aspects of the game - the CHASE.

I don't know my mmr because we have not numbers. But i hate Nurse. Sometimes i am playing against good Nurses, sometimes baby Nurses but i really don't like her. But probably my worst exp against her was against +7000 hours Nurse. She was not even using any add-on or perk and we destroyed by her. But ofcourse she was most skilled Nurse i faced.

The fact is, it doesn't breaks chase at all.
If anything, her chase is much more interactive than any other killers.

I think old slinger was fine but still hated him

My point is that nurse has a choke hold on the balance of killers due to how strong she is. I want her nerfed so it’s easier to buff killers as a whole without making her even stronger
I know the counterplay to nurse. Problem is it only works if either the nurse is bad or you have perks/bugs on your side

I think they personally just mean nurse doesn't play dbd. She plays her own game where loops and pallets don't exist. Then she is also a balance nightmare for perks because some perks get nerfed or are broken just because of her (Starstruck nurse anyone?) I won't knock on good nurses i give them credit for mastering a difficult killer. But said character doesn't really play dbd and is a balancing nightmare. And for any big balance changes like making maps smaller you run into nurse becoming even stronger. Because shes kinda the queen of mobility even on very big maps. She doesn't even worry about maps like rpd. You want a early game collapse? Against a good nurse running into corrupted gens loses you the game instantly because it stalls your early game progress against her.

I've already seen a lot of Blights even before Nurse got kill switched. So it doesn't make a difference to me.

The problem is how she affects perks balance. Any exposed perk, infectious fright etc could be stronger but nurse makes it so that can’t happen. Not to mention how buggy she is to a point where she has to be outright disabled.
Imo it’s best just to rework her at least somewhat. I’d like to keep her blink somehow but restrict to to maybe a power burst like Myers? I don’t want another Freddy situation

Eh, nurse can't realistically counter everything you throw at em, blinking is always a guessing game unless they are extremely close and there is no LoS blocker, which is super rare case.
I think... if survivors can't even chase for 30 seconds, starstruck or not they are dead.

Nurse has 2 blinks. Use 1 for general location and the other to course correct for the hit. I’m not saying it’s simple but it isn’t rocket science either
Not to mention certain maps like shelter woods or blood lodge which have little to no LOS blockers

I know how it works, the thing is she technically can't guarantee a hit even with those 2 blinks unless they are close enough.

But most the time they are. Nurse also has range add ons to compensate for this (which most nurses run)

range addons are surely strong though, but I'd say she can only be as strong as good survivors with those addons, no addon nurses would have hard time dealing with them due to the fact she is practically as fast as 4.6 at baseline.

Whats that like ThiccBudhha.....I heard that's only rumors and myths.....I don't play Survivor much but I can't seem to escape the Hell MMR rankings......no matter how much I die...I keep being sent there.....*begins to sob uncontrollably and goes into the fetal position*

No it isn’t imo because nurse ignores all obstacles that other killers have to deal with to get there. 4.6 killer have to deal with pallets and windows while nurse can just ignore them

But unlike those 4.6 killers nurse have to deal with literally just a wall, having LoS or not just looping around a rock will be much harder for nurse than running straight.
She just have different obstacles on her, it's not like she is OP godmode killer which ignores literally everything.

She kinda is though. Not unbeatable but by far the best killer no contest. I forgot to mention how strong aura perks like I’m all ears are on her as well since they nullify this weakness

She really isn't, she is more like noobstomper which kills bad survivors within a seconds and actually get dealt by good survivors for eternity unless nurse is super skilled.
Aura perks are definitely strong, but that's same for every other killers.
So no, she definitely isn't, maybe true against people who don't know anything about nurse, but not for someone who actually knows.

Then why is nurse the most picked killer in all tourneys assuming she’s not banned?
she’s one of the few killers who can actually deal with good survivors since her power leaves no realistic counterplay assuming the nurse in question is skilled
You can know how to counter nurse and still get destroyed by her. She doesn’t leave any room for counterplay in most situations especially if you aren’t running things like IW or dead hard

Because she is just strong, and strong doesn't mean instawin.
You can know how to counter nurse and still get destroyed by her, or you can know how to counter nurse and chase her for 80 seconds, it's just on your own skill and nurse's own skill, just like every games should be.
in "most situation" there is enough counterplay to deal with her.

The problem with blights is 99% of them are sweaty. At least 75% of Nurses are babies, and 1/2 of the remaining 25% aren't sweaty. I'd rather lose to a good killer that doesn't have to sweat to one that has their life on the line to win the game.

Show me a player who complains about Nurse being too strong and I'll show you a player who has never tried playing nurse to her potential. I have seen so many great survivors intentionally do the dirtiest things to beat my nurse.
And now when I'm survivor up against nurse I use those same tactics and I make her life very difficult. One of the biggest differences between the s tier killers like nurse, spirit, blight, and maybe twins vs the rest of the cast is that when played to potential the survivors MUST evolve, generally by learning the killer inside and out. Orrrr come crying to the forums.
The only other killer outside of s tier that I've seen demonstrate the same level of nuanced counterplay is Deathslinger. RIP.

How is this thread still going? Nurse is literally the pinnacle of design and balance perfection (other than Torn Bookmark). Chasing as or against her is as skillful as you could possibly get, because it’s 100% mindgame-focused. Make the right read and you’re rewarded, make the wrong read and you’re punished. That is literally as skillful as a chase could ever be. Even at the highest levels of play, she performs evenly (~2K average), assuming equally good opponents. The only reason she seems unbalanced is cause matchmaking sucks and most people don’t know how to play against a Nurse. If one side is drastically more skilled than the other, obviously it would be a stomp. That’s like going against the rare competitive survivor team in regular queue.

Funny you should say that I could do the same with people who despise Nurse lol, I am willing to bet that people are calling the new bug fixes for Nurse buffs and going "how could devs buff nurse again?!!" even though I do recall others getting angry at the fact killers were saying the devs buffed dead hard instead of simply saying they fixed it. (Only mentioning it because you are saying how you know how people who play Nurse will react.)
The forums especially have always been just circles of namecalling and toxicity, why have civil discussions when you can create a big circle of people who agree with you and shut the other people out. (And no I don't mean "killer mains" or "survivor mains" I mean everyone does this in the forum. People are hypocrites to the things they dislike and will do anything to get people to side with their own opinion, you may have experiences that differ from others, don't act like you are some kind of all knowing person just because you played this game for a long time doesn't mean anything.
I'll be honest my time away from the forums has made me realize just how dumb I was being with always thinking I knew how things should be balanced and what direction the game should go. I am honestly just tired of how people are always so toxic about everything on this game, like sorry for enjoying Nurse and I guess I'm also sorry for coming back to this forum as well because things have not changed one bit with this community lol literally the first post is a big fight on my favorite killer. x-x

I never said you shouldn’t enjoy her. She seems very enjoyable once mastered but I think it’s clear to almost everyone she needs changes.

Not really much different from before then. I would see Nurse maybe once a day and Blight about dozen times in a row. Now its spirit and blight instead
