Why arn't you playing killer?
I'm just curious tbh, I will go first.
3 of my last 6 lobbies tonight have been confirmed by the Survivors and me as the Killer, as being hacked.
Killers in my experience tend to hack less but this is purely personal experience, it may be the other way round for some of you.
So now I am playing Survivor because I want to play a normal game of DBD.
How about you?

I'm retired.
There's not much of a reason to play Killer or Solo Q at the moment. Both are exercises in futility and frustration.
I used to be able to delude myself into thinking they'd be fixed eventually but I'm afraid those days have passed.

I play killer at night when everything feels balanced.

It's not fun and the devs have indicated they have no plans in the foreseeable future to make it fun. So I took Cotes advice and I play other games instead. I'll hop on for survivor every now and then but 10 minute queues keep me from doing that more than like twice every couple of days.
15 -
I'm not even playing the game. I might come back during the sadako chapter if they do more changes in it but otherwise nah.
4 -
Because I'm not currently on DBD. Despite all the frustrations, I still find killer more fun than survivor.
9 -
im waiting for the next chapter

To avoid burn-out/frustration I only play a few killer games at a time or play a bunch of games purely to do archive challenges
0 -
cause the game is uninstalled, other then that though I just got bored and frustrated with killer and I never enjoyed survivor much to begin with and only played it if friends wanted to play with me. Most of my friends stopped playing the game a long time ago though because of how stupid the grind is.

ive been doing it for 5 years and im bored

I am playing killer. Just not in the day time. Ques are too long.
0 -
The good games are few and far between. I just don't have fun playing the role anymore. Tunneling and camping are essential against good teams. That gets old fast.
7 -
Played a little bit of Billy yesterday, but I've been on other games cause my favorite killer is disabled.
3 -
I'm not having fun.
The match is going too fast for me which puts me under pressure.
I'm tired of dealing with Boons and after a bad game to wait another 4 minutes for the survivors to leave.
8 -
The games not balanced towards my level of play, especially if I wish to play weaker killers and in a more fun way.
I want to be able to pick any killer, go for hooks without tunneling and camping and feel like I'm doing well and rewarded.
I can win if I choose to sweat for it, but i dont wanna have to sweat every second of a match to have a chance or for it to be close. This is before I talk about some terrible map designs and tile setups that can spawn.
The game gets bland, bad balance, same meta perks, limited new maps, terrible events that are rare etc.

Because I literally ran out of killer challenges and to prefarm p3 Sadako, I literally HAVE to play survivor and I am not going to lie. It is killing my vibes, bro. I miss playing killer and still do it for the daily. But I cannot bring myself to do it more when I am getting zero bloodpoints.
1 -
When I first started playing I was encountering way more hacking killers than survivors. Bubbas teleporting all 4 of us in front of him and chainsawing us all.
Now I do find a lot more hacking survivors. And they are mostly subtle about it until they are going to be downed and then start meme hacking.
I still prefer to play killer these days. Mostly more chill and dont get tilted when my teammates are hiding in corners/basement while I've been running the killer for 6 mins and no gens get done.
4 -
To avoid frustration and/or burnout, I only play a little bit of DBD every day. I play killer during the day because survivor teams are more bearable then.
2 -
I prestiged demo he’s at level 5 rn and I have no blood points Lmao

I honestly have better things to do with my life than waste it on a game with such broken matchmaking.
10 -
Because I'm a survivor main...
I have yet to play killer for maybe more than a couple hours across all my time of playing DBD.
Just don't like it.

I'm tired of pallet looping simulator.
6 -
my lobbies take too long at the time that i play.
1 -
I'm still playing killer. I play when I get a new daily mission each night to do that, maybe another game or two if that only took a game. That's how I've played since I started.
0 -
Boons and gen times/map design, and I don't want to play the 10% of the killer roster that can compete every game.
6 -
I can play for a lil bit but I find killer and survivor to be generally boring and tedious a good chunk of the time.
0 -
I don't have much time to play right now. But when I do, I either face those unbeatable teams or I think I'm facing one from the beginning of the match, and I sweat and get stressed out, only to find that it was a beatable team. You have to assume you're going against the best, because randomly you could actually go against them and not stand a chance, and that feels horrible. Why, as the killer, am I the one on edge?
3 -
Again?
2 -
Because Freddy is, currently, extremely boring.

Again?

Again?
3 -
What do you mean

Bored mainly. Years of the same old thing with 0 real changes. It gets boring
2 -
You retired again?
2 -
I've been retired from Killer and Solo Q since I made that post.
I played a few customs cuz my friends wanted to practice against Nemesis, but I don't think that counts right?
0 -
I played killer about 50/50 with survivor till about a year ago. I don't play it anywhere near as much now.
I like to talk while playing multiplayer games, otherwise I'd rather just play a single player game. It's why I don't play a lot of solo q either.

I often am (I am now) but it's weirdly hard to get over the anxiety hurdle of the first killer match of the day. I think "agh what if they click at me and teabag me, I don't want that" and then that's exactly what happens on the first match, and I remember I don't actually care when it happens I just dislike the abstract idea of it.
6 -
Killer isnt as fun to play as survivor imo plus survivor builds offer a lot more variety
2 -
Playing killer is stressful and unfun during peak times when you’re going to get matched against SWF on comms in most matches. It’s not a level playing field.
Playing in SWF is far more relaxing and enjoyable because it’s easy mode against killers unless they’re really good.
4 -
Because I realized years ago that generally even if you're an amazing killer but you're facing equally amazing survivors, in all likelihood you'll lose the game. Also the fact that you have no downtime as killer (unless you camp) and are under constant pressure. 1 mistake or misjudgement can lose you the game. I REALLY don't like that pressure.
I eventually quit killer because of this and haven't really looked back since. I do occasionally want to give killer another go but it's very very rare for me to do so now. I don't even do killer challenges anymore and might play 1 game of the newer killers.
7 -
I keep getting booted from the game when I'm in PC with a friend and now my penalty is now at 25 minutes I have to wait till it resets or something before I can play.
1 -
By resetting I mean still my timer goes back to 2 or 3 minutes

Tired for playing against SWF bully squads. I don't have to sweat as much playing survivor, feeling like I'm going to have a heart attack becauae my heart is pounding after a match. I'm 35 years old living with PTSD and I don't need the extra stress because my health overall isn't in great shape since the pandemic as I may already suffer from symptoms of long covid.
So yeah, I'll play a game or two once a week but I mostly play survivor and even that's getting old and boring. I just continue to play until Elden Ring comes out later this week. Nothing else to really do till then.
Was hoping Sadako would be a refresher but still looks like sweaty, looping gameplay like every other match out there.
7 -
Guess most are fed up of dead hard and boons breaking the game. Gen speed doesn’t help either. If u don’t choose gen slowdown perks u lost the game regardless of how well u do in chase.
8 -
CoH and DH buff broke killer play.
8 -
Because I'm currently in school
1 -
I play killer while I sleep to farm shards.
0 -
I play killer 40% of the time
0 -
Because when the gates open it bores me walking around. I refuse to go near the exit gates to give survivors pleasure of just teabagging and then leave when Im about to hit them. That's literally 4 minutes waste of my life just standing in the middle of the map.
4 -
Devs made the grind way to unfun and just miserable. Dbd went from my main game to my 3rd on my game I'd like to play list. The fact i only have a few hours per week to play means i can do a few matches here and there at best.
Plus, now that elden ring is just around the corner i don't think I'll play dbd at all, I'd rather play games that actually respect my time. Like elden ring, rocket league and the racing game I've been playing lately
5 -
Burnout from grinding bloodpoints.
I got new games to play so I'm definitely taking a break.
