Gen kicking needs to be tweaked
So most of the time I don't kick gens because most of the time it doesn't make a difference. I do sometimes just when I know it'll probably do something. My issue is that the killer has break animation for the gen to start it regressing and a survivor can literally just tap it for barely amy time to keep it from regressing. I have two ideas to remedy the solution. One is to make kicking the generator do initial damage plus the regression. so when you kick it it automatically knocks off like 3 percent progress and starts regressing. Though I am more partial to making it so kicking a generator makes it regress as normal but the survivors have to 'repair' the generator for like a second or two to keep it from regressing and get progress. Like when you fail a skill check and it pauses progress for a short while. This is mainly just to keep survivors mid chase tapping it. Because you can kick it after you hook someone but that's valuable regression time you could've had if this were a measure.

Not a bad idea- I can dig it.

Thanks, I was expecting a wave of angry people telling me how bad it is lol. Though there is still time.

i just do it for the blood points

Fair enough

I see no problem with a base 5% regression upon damaging a generator. It makes a kick worthwhile and helps fight gen tapping, even if they don’t implement anything else.

Overcharge basekit anyone?

Lmao

something like this wouldn't be terrible idea, it would stop gen tapping.

I also like those changes but...
They won't make any change to the base game...

i think its gen tapping the issue

Personally I think survivors should have a 1.5 second timer to start repairing a gen to stabilize it. Not so much for balance reasons but because it just looks completely ridiculous when a survivor, in the middle of a chase, runs by a gen and slaps it like they’re giving it a high five and suddenly it’s stable. It just feels like that should take at least some minimal amount of time to trigger.

Yeah i agree with both your ideas, hope they listen

I’d be fine with anything ranging from like a 2 second animation to stop regression on a gen (if stopped/interrupted then regression continues) to simply making a kick remove like 3-5% progress on the spot. The other idea is increasing the base regression rate to one-third of a charge per second instead of one-fourth, but then some regression perks would need to be adjusted to counterbalance it.
