Small passage to the basement

Dear devs of dbd. I am writing your to think about small passage to the basement. The problem is that killers can block the passage to the basement and troll the survivors. Please consider this problem.

This is done on purpose. The basement is a place you are supposed to have a hard time escaping from, it’s where the entity is strongest and players are supposed to consciously avoid being too close to it. I’d recommend eliminating the generator closest to the basement so you can avoid it for the rest of the game, that’s what I do.

    Correct,
the basement is obviosly a killer sided place, by body blocking he can choose which survivor to hit and etç.
but i agree with you @Vlad mainly because this can be exploited to make the game hostage, among trapping fellow survivor in corners and hidding at the end of the game while running sole survivor.

maybe if the survivor had crows around him he could maybe push the killer or something just enough to pass by. dunno

Listen. I often meet this killers blocking the basement just for fun. And do your say me it's normal? It's nonsense, no more. Many survivors in this sutiation just leave from the game because killer is troll.

The basement is supposed to be a place you do not want to be anywhere near, one entry, one escape. Adding another exit would take the whole danger of the basement away. And directed at the part where the Killer can simply close the second exit, every Killer would just close it, making it irrelevant.

I've played over 1000 hours, mostly as survivor. I've had a killer blocking the basement 'just for fun' (as opposed to strategically, briefly, to wait out BT or such) maybe 4 times. You must be extremely unlucky.

Anyway, I was hoping this was a suggestion for a small, secondary passage to the basement that's only openable with a key and only for like 20-30 seconds which could make for some fun gameplay strategy (and make keys a little more fun).

Design is may be the same. Can make the passage and staircase a little wider.

    What?
I just said, its intended design. The basement is the only place a survivor has to be scared of and where the killer actually has some sort of control

how about after the killer starts to get afk crows (whether near basement or no) they lose their collision box(hitbox? whatever you wanna call it) this would also stop people who body block 1 survivor in a corner, and go afk. just a thought. I mean if the person is waiting out borrowed time they wouldn't get crows, but if its a troll then they have the ability to get crows.

You go into the basement only if Im carrying you and leave only if I let you. If your friend is there, go make some gens and escape, you can make other friends later.
