Stop making "remain in trial while teammates escape" challenges

Even when the doors are powered and escape is possible, I can't make progress because either:

  • I'm the only person trying to open a door while my teammates are doing who knows what and the killer comes to the door so I'm forced out
  • I'm forced to escape/hit by the killer out the escape but my teammates refuse to leave because they're too busy teabagging and pointing at the killer
  • I'm busy dying on the hook but my teammates are just milling around, not escaping and not trying to rescue me

I've had about 6 matches in a row today where a teammate or multiple teammates could have escaped while I was still in the match but I have made 0 progress in that time because they just won't leave. The majority of them are on console so I can't even tell them the situation in the pre-game lobby.

Well, your first problem is that you have cross-play on. Turn that off and you'll get better teammates. And be bale to tell them you need them to leave.

And if you find the queue times to be too long for when you normally play with cross play off you can just turn it back on when you don't need it off anymore. I have cross play off and don't really feel the times to be too bad.

Or you can find some people with SWF with, even if you don't use comms. By having them know they need to leave they will hopefully do so.

It's a sucky challenge because people don't tend to leave as soon as they should, but you have tools to make it easier you just need to use them. The main tool being telling people you need them to leave first.

The hatch and risky repairs challenges are really painful Those are the ones i struggle with the rest of the challenges are easy tbh

I love this challenge simply because the randoms are less likely to sandbag the team when they have this challenge on, players actually try to play as team so everyone can escape.

i had one match that really just infuriated me.

basically, we had a 4 man escape. great. two already left, i was waiting for the other one to leave - but no, they absolutely couls NOT leave without having it rubbed into the killers face as much as they could, so that *insert bad word here* of a survivor had to stay till the last second of the timer just to click their flashlight into the killers face, all while i was waiting for them to just gtfo so i could get my challenge.

yes, i died. i basically suicided into the killer so they wouldnt accidentally hit me out first (i was injured), while the other guy ran out.

    why do some players just have to be sore winners like that? ;-;

at the very least i got my 3 points towards the challenge...

I don't mind this challenge. Just do gens and open the doors, then just hide somewhere in the map and your teammates will be forced to leave. If you die to EGC its no big deal just 5k BP and a safety pip.

    It's really bothering me too.

You are basicly playing chicken against other survs.

I think the challange should be about going back and saving teammates from hook while exit gates are open.

That would be healthier for the game.

There IS a Challenge for safely unhooking people during the E.G.C.! It also sucks! Because you have to not only reach the E.G.C. in the first place but someone else has to get downed and hooked AND you have to be the one to save them. Better hope the Killer isn't camping and grabs you when you go for the unhook or is has an active N.O.E.D. and just smacks the back of your head.

If I had to pick between, say, three safe E.G.C. unhooks and nine "other people exit" I'll take the "nine other people exit" one every single time. Because while theoretically I could get the first one in one game it'll probably take twice as long as the second.

And I'd take a super grindy protection hit challenge over either of them. Something that'd take at minimum five games to finish but doesn't involve the E.G.C. at all.

And not only is the challenge dumb, it's bugged too, apparently! I was just in a match and had two survivors escape before me, then I escaped and got no progress towards the challenge.

That's actually a way worse challenge than having teammates escape before you.

Just a reminder that this challenge is terrible and should be removed from the rotation. Replace it with a challenge that requires you to get facecamped by a killer, because that is actually way easier to do.

Apparently after almost a year it's still bugged sometimes as survivors will still escape and I won't get progress. Love to waste my time going against a trillion facecamping killers only to never get any progress on this challenge.

Can we stop making this non issue a complaint? Players can be equally stupid across all platforms. Stop with the PC superiority complex.

Maybe make even more of this challenges, while giving the first person out a big bonus to BP. This could incentive survivors to BM less and don't waste THAT.MANY.LIFE.MINUTES. OR. EVEN.HOURS.

It's not about "PC is better" PC sucks as well at times because this player base can't seem to not be toxic. I just had a PC only game where three people were being toxic to me so I just stopped playing and stood in a corner. All I'm saying is that every single time I have ever turned cross play on about 90% of the console players I was matched against were toxic.

There are toxic people on both sides, and if you main console then it's probably PC people who are the most toxic to you. It is just that in my personal experience, in the time slots I normally play, console players were MUCH more toxic than PC players was so I turned it off. I get much fewer toxic matches, but I do still get them.

It's not a either or thing, it's not one side or the other. Both have their toxic people. To me console was much more toxic than PC so I stopped playing against console all together and when I get toxic PC players I just stop playing that game as well.

Another reminder that this is still a terrible challenge and it shouldn't have been in the latest tome and shouldn't be in any tomes going forward.
