Make Deep Wounds and Mending more dangerous!
As of now, no one considers Deep Wounds or Mending to be very risky. The timers do not deplete while in a chase or within the terror radius, and perks such as Sloppy Butcher, aura reading perks such as A Nurse's Calling and radius proximity perks such as Coulrophobia do not affect mending.
My idea is simple.
It doesn't break the power, but it makes mending slightly more risky and it incorporates the new status effect: Oblivious.
My idea is: Whenever a survivor begins to mend, the survivor suffers from the Oblivious status effect for the duration of the mend. The oblivious status effect remains active for 2 seconds after finishing mending or cancelling the mending action.
What do you guys think? Something like this could potentially be helpful to Legion and/or make Borrowed Time more risky.

i personally think the timer should start ticking down as soon as the survivor enters an animation.
that way they will really have to run and mend somewhere (mending does also start the timer, so dont mend if its not safe!) instead of being able to do silly things like hook rescues or tapping on regressing gens without a real penality.
and yes, with that change the timer will also tick down while in the killers TR and in a chase. so again: dont do something stupid and only mend when its safe.
PS: if the survivor didnt start an animation, but the timer started ticking down, as they left the TR, the timer will pause again when re-entering the TR.
i think that way it would be a lot better than currently, where deep wound literally means nothing.

As a Legion main, I love both these ideas. As a player of the game, they do not seem OP either. Good job to both of you.

I would say give the Legion the ability to grab whilst in the same way they could search lockers kick gens or close the Hatch whilst in frenzy
This means if you frenzy hit a survivor running to hook the survivor is left with two options leave the hook or wait until frenzy runs out before they can get the save

I was thinking once you start mending, you must finish mending.
Therefore, you can't mend in plain sight or else you're dead.
4 -
That... and well if you let your mend thing get too 99% and then start mending... well right now you are fine. Nothing bad happens. I think that's kinda odd.

I voted up. If it gives the Legion a much needed buff, that's a good thing.

Honestly I like it. It would give Legion the massive buff he needs, but doesn't make him completely broken.

Deep wound is supposed to waste time (to my understanding) and it does it very poorly.
Having the timer go down if the survivor is doing something might fix that since that way survivors can't just keep working on a generator while in TR.
2 -
Yeah you're pretty right due to the way the time pauses if you're in the terror radius or in the process of mending there's not much pressure to actually start mending
Hello see people actually just doing stuff like generators if they're in a terror radius or typically doing stuff until the last possible second and then mending
2 -
If the mending action is interupted, the Deep Wound timer should lose 5 seconds immediatly. Meaning if you wait the last second to Mend and can't finish it, you go down.
It should also resume ticking if you perform actions other than vaulting or dropping pallets within the killer's TR. And tick faster if you do thoses things outside the TR.

Mending isnt supposed to be a thread, its just to give killers more time, cause survivors waste their time mending in safe places.

I would say if you are in the Deep wound state, you cant do any action such as Doctor Madness 3 + your idea with the oblivious. And after finishing the mend action you get a action penatly of 15% slower everything for 10-20 Seconds, I am not sure about the durotation atm.

It's a time waster, but nothing to go home about. Some sort of change like this would be nice

Just make legions power different altogether 😃. I think a power that doesn't help you down survivors is a bad idea. But this change sounds cool. I don't think it matters though because it won't affect legion much since if someone needs to mend they'll either be away from a chase or in a chase with legion. It's cool if you would be able to see who's oblivious but that's not the case like with demo

Oblivious is useless against Mending.
The survivor just needs to look a their mending bar, if it is not draining the killer is near.
Unless you mean that the survivor keeps draining forever while in Deep Wound status.
In which case that's broken as #########. There is a reason why Legion's Deep Wounds was changed to how it is today.

Just cause the timer to go down at 25% rate, instead of being completely paused, while in chase.

They don't, the timer pauses when mending and in the terror radius
And because nine times out of ten Legion immediately try to find someone else I've had situations when I'm playing the Legion that survivors have literally just started mending right after I hit them and turn my back.
0 -
They are still wasting their time mending instead of doing gens. Missions accomplished.
Survivors who will mend the moment you turn your back are the same people who go back to the gen once you chase someone else.
1 -
OH WELL, AN EXTRA 10 SECONDS MENDING, WHILE THE GUY ACTUALLY GOT AWAY. WE SURE GOT HIM, BOYS! LOL!
1 -
If they start mending, they gain the Oblivious status effect which means that they would not be under any conditions that a terror radius causes. So, the timer would still go down if you chose to start mending.

@DudeDelicious Yeah, but at the same time you're wasting your time trying to inflict Deep Wounds on another survivor. Generally, by the time you can run to another Survivor, the first one is done mending and is now getting back on gens. You prolonged the match slightly, but in the end you barely did anything to help you "win". Not only that, but if the Survivors Don't heal, now you're just a M1 killer who made the match go slightly longer.
TL;DR Legion prolongs matches, but doesn't really have a way to effectively use the extra time he gives himself. His power also becomes useless since most survivors won't heal against him.

This is what i see too. As A Legion main, my power does nothing other than annoy the survivors. I love the running around and stabbing... and that's really all it is.

Excuse me. Killers themselves are supposed to be a threat. Most arnt. Please let them be.

Sounds like a great idea and I totally agree. Currently Deep Wounds and Mending is extremely underwhelming and near worthless for something that's supposed to be a detriment.
0 -
That's when I press m2, turn and slap them for it. But yeah, if I don't hear it, I still assume they will do that. There is no reason not too.
0 -
You really need to think about how much time it's even "wasting". it's not enough at all, and if you think it is then you need to look up more about the game.
0 -
Exactly this.
1 -
I know it’s stupid but what if mending had those hard skill checks like when your snapping out of tier 3 madness as doc?
0 -
^The power isnt meant to be a threat. Dont troll on obvious reasons.
0 -
I wasn't trolling? I'm being honest. I am playing a KILLER. Why shouldn't my power given to me by a spider Goddess be a threat?
Are you saying that it should be like "Kung Pow: Enter The Fist" where they taught that one guy wrong as a joke.
Don't accuse me of trolling when I am trying to make a point. I don't troll and try not to be insulting as this forum should be used for constructive feedback and not insults.
On top of that Mending doesn't waste time as it is right now.

Entity isn't female, that results from the dev's mother tongue (French) not having gender neutral pronouns and them picking "Entite" because it sounds close to "Entity".
So sick of this. Orion really did a good job spreading the cult around.
0 -
Umm.... rude. I don't even know who that is. You also said nothing to the actual topic, and really didn't add anything new. I call Entity a female cause of the wiki and I want too. Congrads for being sick of an opinion and head canon. But can we please stick to the topic?

I know this discussion is old, but you’re right. The game has made mending too easy for Survivors, especially self-mending. It’s like when you put Survivors in the Deep Wound effect, it takes 5 seconds for them to mend. I know cuz I even kept count one time to make sure.

Than make a new discussion on the subject.
