Guess Kills does equal skills
Quick and short, but I can't count how many Red rank killers I've faced tonight that tunneled and proxy camped and it just leaves me confused on how they made it that far. Just curious as if anyone else has experienced this or if it's just me xD

First, rank only represent the time spent playing this month and not skill nor MMR.
Second, It's obvious, since most player can't communicate with each other, they leave gens to try and save just to be stopped by the killer near hook. And even if they succesfully unhook, most of the time the rescuer may not even have BT.
If the survivor aren't on comms, you can proxy camp to get is a free gen slowdown, and secure an early kill if nobody is willing to trade. Just like always, it is an effective strategy if used against an average team.
Just because a killer isn't doing some crazy mindgame doesn't mean he isn't skilled. As scummy as some player say it is, picking an effective strategy to increase your winning chance is still being skilled.

It’s the current meta.
hit and run killers are less Viable due to free, unlimited, fast healing from CoH
Chase hunters are limited due to Gen speed.(I’ve had a few games where Survivors can pop 4 gens in about three minutes)
The bigger maps have a huge impact on killer game play and there ability to counter gens.
Survivor behavior! in a lot of matches survivors will swarm the hook trying to get the save. This alone will feed the killer, stop the gens, And give the killer an easy 3-4 kill win.

Tunneling is also very meta right now, but it has strong counters.
Unless the killer is running BBQ there is NO advantage to spreading hooks around (hooking 3 different survivors). Hook 1 survivor 3 times removed her from the game, creating a 3 Vs 1 and pushes the game in the killers favor.
DS and BT both counter tunneling, so it’s up to the survivors to run the right perks.
it’s not a question about skill, it’s knowing the meta and the tactics that will win you the game

Proxy camping near a three gen is an extremely effective strategy. You don't want to leave the 3 gen since you don't want the survivors to break it. For low mobility killers, they'll probably proxy camp by default since they can't afford to go to a hook that's farther away. That is strategy which is a skill.
Tunneling is countered, or at least severely reduced in efficiency, by BT, DS, and other survivors taking protection hits, hook trading and the person being tunneled just being much stronger than the killer in chase. If none of these are in play, well, there's a reason why so many Killers tunnel.
Don't blame the players; they're just responding to game mechanics. If the above is to change, it's BHVR that needs to make gameplay changes.

Yes. 2 were proxy camping 1st hook and tunneling down the unhooked and the 3rd tryed to play fair. None got a 4k.
Just got a Billy on the game though. That was nice surprise. Poor bastard had 2 hooks at endgame.

It depends on the nuances. You know, the nuances that the devs are too lazy to calculate because DBD is just hockey anyway.

ye true, I also get alot of huntress the past few games, I have seen more huntresses than any other killer in the last week.

By the way, if a killer has a 3 gen, that I totally get it, no hard feelings a bout that. But there warw a handful of times I'd get unhooked off my first hooked and the survivor unhooking me get ignored and then I proceed to get tunneled. This happen early in a match in good portion of these matches believe it or not. Also please don't think I'm entitled because I'm not. I enjoy going against a good killer it makes it fun. But the way it's been the last few nights for me, there's nothing but irritation there after a while.

Yes, people who win games get put against other people winning games. That is how it should work. I do not care if some fruit loop believes running a baby for 5 gens or 8 hooking garbage survivors is skill. Enjoy it in the mmr bracket you SHOULD be playing in.
