How To Make Twins More Fun & Balanced

Firstly I think it should be addressed that most of the nerfs they’ve gotten since release didn’t resolve any of their core issues but rather just made them feel more clunky and less fluid to play. I love playing Twins but they’re very frustrating to play as due to this and aren’t fun to play against due to their slugging. Here are some suggestions.


Key Issues to Address their slugging power:

* When Victor is idle within a close range of a survivor who was just hooked near him he will automatically despawn.

It’s common to Place Victor next to a hook and then picking up a survivor and hooking them right next to him which will let you know with Killer Instinct that another Survivor is coming for the hook save to which you can switch back to Victor. This will help prevent this playstyle.

* When Victor successfully hits an injured survivor knocking them down in the incapacitated state he will automatically despawn, leaving the survivor with the broken status effect for 10 seconds

This would remove the ability to slug with a single use of Victor while also helping Charlotte get to the survivor to hook them before they can be picked before she even has a chance to get there. I’ve been within a 32 meter range with Charlotte after downing someone with Victor and before they’re within my line of sight they’ve already been picked up. It doesn’t feel fair when you are able to successfully down someone with Victor and not be able to hook them because another survivor was nearby to pick them up before you can get there with Charlotte. Neither of which is a fun experience for either side.



Compensate:


* Missed Pounced cooldown reduced from 5 to 3.75 seconds.

* Successful pounces with Victor reduce Charlotte’s wake up time by 25%.

(this includes successful pounces knocking survivors into the incapacitated state)

* Wake Up time movement speed penalty reduced.

* Slightly decrease Victor’s movement speed penalty while he’s charging pounce.

At small loops like the cars on Haddonfield or sometimes just evven a big tree can be used to easily avoid being hit by Victor simply because of how slow he’s required to moves before attacking.



I really like playing as and against The Twins and I wish to see them in more of my games. Hopefully they’ll be a Killer that gets some balancing attention soon. 🙂

    You know broken only applies from injured to healthy. Also Twins have a slugging power like Oni and Myers and personally I don't mind if that stays.

    How to make twins more fun and less balanced.


    Step 1: Two posters queue up together as the twins.

    Step 2: Those players control Charlotte and Victor independently of each other, except for when Victor is respawning.

    Step 3: ???

    Step 4: Profit

    Take away all their unnecessary cooldowns and stuff.
