So, I'm making this poll because today I've played for like 4 hours and won maybe 2 matches. AKA Escaping.

However, yesterday I played for maybe 9 hours and escaped maybe 10-15 times.

It's called ranking and somehow getting worse survivors yet better killers... great matchmaking amiright.

    Every time I boot up the game, it's clockwork:


    1st match: Get placed against babies - win without issue.

    2nd match: Clunky match - some survivors are good, some bad. Somewhat balanced.

    3rd match: Close - I can see the cracks in the games balance. If there were a few other plays, it would have been a super difficult trial.

    4th and onward: I get destroyed. Everyone else is a hyper meta player with a thirsty killer - and toxic teammates. I usually quit playing for a few days if I play more than 4 matches at a time for this reason.

    I rarely ever escape because I get paired with clueless teammates and sweaty, try hard killers.

    I throw my matches on purpose after the gates are open and everyone has escaped so my mmr stays low to meme and chill.

    I've tracked my survival rate over a few games: it is 60% apparently.

    It takes a bit of selfish gameplay and builds but it's possible.

    The system is very strange so I have no idea how low my MMR is.

    When I escape a lot, I get bad teammates and a very good Killer.

    When I die a lot, I get a very good Killer and good teammates.

    Every gaming session is different. And I still consider it a win if 3 got out and I die, so about 50% win rate.

    Depends what you mean by "win" tbh.

    Recent tome grinding I've survived a surprisingly high amount of matches, but there were a few lucky hatches in there, and quite a lot of them my teammates died regardless.

    However my queues have also been around 10-15 mins and I've had everything from sweaty Blights to first game Huntresses this week, so I don't really know how to gauge it.

    25%, more or less. This is a game where you lose more than you win and you gotta get used to it. Like a battle royale.

    Also emphasis on the "maybe" part. I'm a sucker for altruistic plays and going down for teamies if they did anything useful at all during a match.


    ---- seeing two people write they're throwing on purpose to be able to meme and chill makes me want to try to get to iri1 next month without escaping a single match 😂 should be possible. And should be a very strange kind of fun. ----
