Clown afterpiece antidote bottles are more than often useless
I hate the fact you have to switch betwen bottles to use them and that it takes a few seconds for it to activate and also survivors can benefit from them.
More than often its better to just keep walking that bother throwing an antidote bottle and waste time getting the effect.
The only situation where its benefiting is when you throw it far away and by the time you reach that place its already activated but that rarely happens.
Clown is already weak,I think the antidote should be instant and not benefit survivors.

I use it for mobility moving around the map. It can also net you hits around certain loops by slowing the survivor and then speeding you up just enough to hit them. You can watch some Otzdarva clips as he uses them regularly in his clown games. They're useful.

They feel clunky and like a waste of bottle most of the times.

yeah. they're pretty pointless. I stated that change day 1 when clown got reworked. He would be so much better at timing his speed boosts. survivor benefiting for killer using their power is very odd to say least.

They we're afraid of the power the Clown have and they didnt wanna make him too op,too scary.

The activation speed is absolutely prohibitive.

They are a fairly pointless change and more or less just done just so the devs can say they reworked clown to shut everyone up about it.
That or if they actually think it was a good idea to give the worst killer a self sabotaging new power...Idk which is worse for DbD.
Anyways the Idea that the clown who is one of the most basic M1 killer's in the game having multiple simple powers is a good idea.
It was just done as wrong as possible without effecting his original power/base stats.

They do have certain uses
- When approaching a survivor from a distance before a chase starts, you can lob one at them and, by the time you get to the cloud, it will be activating and you’ll have a boost as the chase really gets underway.
- At dropped pallet loops you can lob one on the other side of the pallet where the survivor is and continue running to that side, and also drop a pink on your side. They won’t be able to stand in the yellow cloud without getting hit before it activates, so they’ll have to run, and if they try and run around that same loop they get hit by the pink cloud you dropped earlier.
- If you are just about to refresh your bottle and still have 1 left you can drop a yellow and by the time you finish refreshing you’ll have a speed boost to go wherever you want.
- Similarly if you are about to pick a survivor up to carry them you can yellow bottle on top of them and by the time you pick them up the gas should activate and you’ll have a speed boost for the carry (kind of like a Clown Agitation)
- Lastly one of his best add-ons, in my opinion, is the one where he can see auras while invigorated by the yellow gas. It’s a really handy tool for scouting for hidden survivors when you get to a spot you’re pretty sure someone is at, or if you used one at the very start of the chase can help with the initial mind games.
