Blindness Buff Idea
Right now I think Blindness is in a pretty weird spot right now as far as status effects go. Its usefulness is largely dependent on survivors bringing perks that read auras. The only auras survivors can see without any perks is a downed survivor's location, and a hooked survivor's location. Not being able to see either of these can be pretty easily circumvented by good team communication. I think it would be a good idea to make it more dangerous across the board. There's also specific killer abilites that generate auras, but blindness doesnt effect those anyways, which is probably a good thing to be entirely honest.
My suggestion is making blindness prevent survivors from seeing the killer's red stain. I think it makes sense thematically, and would make it a more broadly useful status effect. It would definitely incentivize use of more unique addon builds. I basically never use blindness addons because pretty much every available option is usually better, but if I had some guarantee blindness would be useful ever match, I would definitely use blindness addons.

The effect that makes the killers stain invisible is the oblivious effect, you'd have two status effects that pretty much do the same thing then.

Oblivious only hides the Terror Radius, not the red stain. This idea for Blindness would do the reverse. You'd hear the Terror Radius, but not see the stain.
My own thought/addition would be to make it similar to what happens when you're downed by Knock Out. You get a black border around your screen limiting your sight.

Oblivious does not make the killers red stain invisible. The only effect that removes the red stain is undetectable.
But saying having an effect that removes the red stain is pointless because undetectable does that doesn't make sense since oblivious and undetectable both effectively remove the killer's TR.

The difference is whether it affects the Killer (Undetectable) or the Survivor (Oblivious)

This is exactly what I was thinking. There is a gameplay difference to be had in gaining stealth, and inflicting a loss of information.

Yeah alright, that's cool. There's too many status effects that are bloody pointless as they are right now. Stuff like blindness, Haemorrhage, etc. don't really do much or impact the game in a meaningful way.
That being said, try running third seal and plaything on RPD, if applied properly can make for a nasty combo. Outside of that, I don't really see a case where blindness is meaningful.

That's where I think making it closer to Knock Out's effect would work. Or would legit restrict your visibility and could be an issue on anything but maybe the most open maps.

NGL, that could also be a good way of going about it. I know I've had a few chases where how dark everything was from deep wound caused me to make some mistakes I normally wouldn't because I couldn't see well. Clowns bottles also make it harder to see, which leads to similar results. I definitely think this could work.

I like this idea. :)

Why not make blindness do what the word says.? Yeah making the survivor completely blind would be to much but they could use the same effect that happens when you got deep wound and don't mend. The screens goes very dark and cloudet making it hard to see

I’d be okay with this. Blindness as a whole right now can be okay against solos but is way too underwhelming vs SWF, so I like that this at least makes it always do something.

Blindness should create a fog around the survivor, it seems to me that his range of drawing objects was reduced, or it would be nice if blindness hides the status effects imposed on the survivor, for example, so that the survivor does not know if the oblivious effect has been applied to him

I like this approach to it too. Reducing survivor visibility seems like an interesting concept to me. I'd definitely like to see this kind of thing included in a killers power too tbh.
