'Feather Foot' is one of the worst designed tome challenges I've seen

Felt the urge to make a thread about this, as up until this point no specific challenge has irked me as much as this one has

So let me get this straight:

1) You need to fall 'From a great height' which isn't the same as triggering balanced landing, various heights cause balanced landing but aren't great heights. Whether this is intentional or a bug is to be determined.

2) You need to be in chase when this happens. Not a second before or after. Then you need to lose chase in the next 20 seconds or it doesn't count.

3) To top it all off, you have to do this TWICE in a single trial

On paper this doesn't sound so difficult but I had to brute-force and almost throw games just to have a chance at completing it. Even on maps that were suitable like Ormond, Dead Dawg and so on.

Please, whoever designs the tome challenges - if you're going to make highly specific ones like this, don't make them 'per trial' because that just leads to frustration and people throwing games just to get them done.

I agree that the challenge is awful, let's hope they change it sooner then later.

Also if anyone is struggling with this challenge, try the build below with the Dead Dawg Saloon offering.

Balanced Landing - To be able to start running immediately after dropping from a great height.

Vigil - Just to get Balanced Landing quicker.

Iron Will - To be stealthy and harder to find.

Quick & Quiet - Take this for Lockers.

Try to be at the main building as much as you can, there is a balcony where the Generator usually spawns, when the Killer hits you and starts a chase, you can immidietaly jump down and aim for the Lockers below the balcony, once you enter them, it takes a few seconds before the chase is over, that's how I did it.

Take balanced landing, iron will, lucky break, quick and quiet and a good med kit. Take yourself to dead dawg, Ormond, crotus prenn, rpd and silent hill even. All have high enough drop offs that offer an easy way to break chase afterwards.

    My advice:

Perks: Balanced Landing, Lucky Break, Iron Will, Quick & Quiet.

    Map: The Game

Item: the best medkit you have available

Strat: Stay on the top floor at all times and when the killer chases you go to a "hole" (NOT stairs, it has to be one of the "square holes" that usually have a pallet beside them).

I got it on the first try with this strategy.

"in a single trial" challenges in general just plain SUCK. I had to game throw to get 3 pallet stuns in one trial due to killers being able to respect pallets, mind game, prevent it with their power and other things. I am NEVER torturing myself or my teammates again with THAT one! (which has more instances AND a four times variant!)
