I knew it, I was prepared but it still hurts - RIP Legion

So we got the dev updated for the upcoming midchapter patch and the Legion and Ghostface updates. I will focus on the Legion changes here mainly:

Legion will get now a 0,2 M/s Movement speed buff for each chain hit on a survivor with FF.

Fatigue Reduced from 4 sec to 3 sec. All Fatigue addons have been reworked.

Last thing, Legion is able to insta down a survivor with the 5th chain hit.

I love the first 2 QoL changes and the last change is also indeed VERY cool and interesting. However...

is this enough? I have been maining Legion and playing Legion frequently the past few months and I can garuantee you it is VERY hard to get more then 2 chain hits as Legion on decent survivors that simply hold W as soon as they hear your TR.

Ofc things will look different with the speed buffs however I doubt this is still gonna make that up. Especially on certaign maps its gonna be a pain. With Undetactable perks this may be better and helpful, you will get more downs with FF like that but this is a huge commitment just for that 1 mechanic, simiular to Sadako the mechanic is very undertuned and WAY too much of a hassle to go out of your way to make it work.

Again I am not saying these are terrible changes, I do really like them but I dont think this is enough to make Legion a decent enough Killer for the current Meta. I appreciate the QoL changes and I bet Legion is gonna feel very smooth now, but I hope the devs may overthink the 5th chain hit mechanic, I dont think reducing it to 4 hits would make them busted.

However the changes still feel very ... underwhelming, they just took in 2 changes suggested from thousands of ppl in the forums and just added 1 new unique mechanic and thats it. Idk I feel this update to Legion is dissapointing.

Suggestion:

Legion needs some kind of help after they get out of FF after successfully hitting a survivor with FF. Something like Legion receives a 5% movement speed boost after the fatigue for 10 sec after they have successfully hit a survivor with FF. This would Legion help about in the early game if they just have 1 survivor around them and have to end the Frenzy and proceed the m1 chase.

The best case scencario would be to give Legion a second smaller chase ability like a dash, jump some kind of range attack. Something to give Legion some way to cut off the chase or shorten loops. It doesnt has to be something oppressive like a Nemesis tentacle, some kind of weaker Demo shred for example. This would make Legion finally not so boring to play. The main problem of Legion is the m1 chase, not the FF itsself. I believe FF is a nice and fun ability to injure and it can stay that way, but dont let Legion be a boring M1 Killer.

Keep in mind there are still some addon changes we haven't been shown yet. They could be mediocre or game-changing but, for me, these changes are a net positive.

In casual or decent gameplay yes but not nearly in higher dbd games. An M1 Killer is just a joke, Legion can have as much QoL changes to FF they want, it will still not be nearly enough. FF itsself is fine as you said and I agree with you there but FF is not the only thing Legion needs.

Ye I agree, however if there is such a strong addon that would make Legion a addon depended Killer to be viable which isnt really great.

Again not saying the changes are terrible but it isnt enough, Legions FF is a good ability and doesnt need much change, but Legion needs something to shorten chases outside of FF, its the M1 killer part that makes Legion that bad not the FF itsself.

I've also mained Legion for a long time, and I disagree. I think these buffs are great. Chaining hits together with speed and duration (if they don't remove duration addons) will make chaining hits pretty easy. Even if not, the reduced fatigue and extra speed will still be a huge help.

Agree but I dont think this is enough. Nice QoL changes that make them feel good but that will not make Legion more of a threat really.

I agree that feels very underwhelming, and not enough to make Legion a decent killer.

Especially if they removed his Feral Frenzy duration addons,I really hope not.

Legion is such a cool and really wish he got something that fixed his huge problem of survivors just splitting up.

They did, though. They now get a speed boost on top of refreshing the FF meter when they get a hit, so they can now close the gap between split-up survivors considerably easier than before.

Larger maps are still going to be a problem for them, but larger maps are a problem pretty universally.

I think these changes are good enough for the moment.

Legion now can actually down survivors in his power without an addon (Granted it's 5 FF hits, but it's still something). This actually makes running around stabbing people in FF rewarding whereas it's decent slowdown live, but doesn't really accomplish anything. Then if you know you need to cancel FF, you get the pre-nerfed cooldown which was a change he never needed in the first place.

Personally, I would much rather they improve current legion with minor things like this rather than doing major reworks like Freddy.

The thing is, maybe there is going to be a Addon Combo that makes Legion super Strong if played well. Something like additional Speed Addons and Duration. So you can get the 5th Hit. ANd because they didnt want to make only boring Addons that dont change anything really, they made the Power better, but not too strong.

We'll see in the PTB. I for One, am super excited since i've Mained Legion pretty much since they got their Rework.

I hope honestly that old susies mixtape is back, it gave Legion a 0,4 M/s movementspeed buff on FF. Would be cool if they bring it back.

i dont worry too much about chaining frenzy, so idk how valuable these changes will be for me. I also rock Starstruck as well so the instadown is whatever for me, personally.

Base kit stun duration reduction is nice I guess, at least I won't need to eat cold dirt every game.

I am very happy with the Legion changes. QoL changes will make them a lot smoother and the extra speed will make chaining a lot easier. And the occational down you get from frenzy once every 10 matches will just be fun.

I couldn't have asked for more. They made them more Legion instead of changing everything in hopes of making them more powerfull.

I'm... a mixture of underwhelmed and worried.

Overall... in my opinion, the Speed Boost is good. The Cooldown is good. The add on changes are unknown. The Fatigue reduction could cause Legion to become oppressive and get them nerfed elsewhere. Same with the 5th hit down... that could also end up being very oppressive and get them nerfed elsewhere. The unique chase music is... cool but a minor indirect nerf... Legion needed to really capitalize on their first Frenzy use before all the Survivors know its them... but now special music announces it to the entire map that its them before Frenzy's deep wound can.

But what I really want to know is where the hell is the removal of losing part of your power guage on a successful M1? Where is the removal of losing your power guage on picking somebody up in Frenzy? Those were the 2 things I wanted the most and they weren't mentioned.
