Boons make hits meaningless
Hit and leave a survivor, with CoH they heal up in like 8 seconds with a teammate or a little bit more alone. Hit them and aren't paying 100% attention, Shadow Step makes them disappear. Down and slug the survivor, Exponential gets them up. Hit a holding W survivor, they hold it some more because of Dark Theory. And these effects can all be combined, and you have to guess which ones are being combined, most likely CoH but it could be all others or none others with it. You don't know. How are M1 killers even supposed to play anymore? Just commit to every person you injure, and go for one chase after another with no shortcuts or in-betweens? No matter how basic and nondiverse that is, I guess that's just how we've gotta play every time, even though it's a recipe for losing. What other choice is there? And don't tell me "just snuff the boon", because you know darn well that you can snuff 4 of them during a game and they'll just keep coming back, with no sweat off the survivors' backs, and a net loss of time for you.

I wouldnt mind if the killer got a notification of which boon perks were active on that boon totem. (When within range most likely)

Survivors will probably demand that they see what hexes the killer has then.

this is already a thing

^ It already is a thing. However hexes only appear on HUD when they're affected by it.

I think you're dramatically overstating the effectiveness of all the other boons, here.

No. I'm not one of those people who says "Shadow Step is stronger than CoH!", but they're strong enough to be part of the problem. With 115% killers, you might not feel Dark Theory, but as a 110% that boon will destroy you.
