CoH getting two nerfs so far while face camping and tunneling remain untouched is spitting in the face of survivors. Also, where’s that ping system for solo queue?

If you need healing just run any of the other healing perks that are now better than COH. 😂

Exactly this. BHVR surprised me this week. First they are testing stuffs for making MMR better. Second they have pretty good Mid-Chapter, i loved all changes. And now CoH nerf.

right now nothing is planned for Sadako, we wish to continue to monitor her. As there's not really much time between chapter release and the next mid chapter to make meaningful changes (if required).

That’s the thing. I don’t think anyone is going to bring it anymore. We will just see the same 4 perks survivors have been running for the past 4 years again.
The ONLY good healing perks at this point, would be Well make it and Inner Strength. Especially with the upcoming buff to Hemorrhage status.

Yep. I'm not equipping this perk, so my teammates spend forever healing and getting everyone killed.

You will stay injured? This is good pressure for me. Because this mean you will not be safe at gen if you stay injured. I will get you down faster. And plus i still have anti-gen perks.

I agree,this has to be my favorite mid chapter update already and we didn't even get to see what else there's in store for us.
I hope this kind of changes will mean devs will also look at boons being able to be infinitely lit up with no sort of cooldown or penalty.
As many people say that the big problems wasn't just coh healing speed,but also the fact boons can be infinitely lit up with no sort of real downside.
But this is great,i'm really happy and the devs have my praise for finally listening the voices of killer players as well.

Please bring back inner strenght,I miss seeing survivors interact with dull totems other than just bless them.

Actually boons are not problem for me anymore. Other boons are just average, CoH was only issue. And now with this change, they will waste so much time. So i am okey for current CoH now.
And yeah, killers really needed this changes. Dead Hard and CoH was stupidly strong. One of them gone and we know nerf is on the way for other.
But they are still ignoring solo survivors, hope we can get some love for solo-q.
I am always going for weakest survivor. Less survivor less problem :)

It is still a free 5th perk for other 3 team mates... it should never have gone live in the first place. I guess it is still an improvement on the current situation but the perk should be deleted altogether

I'm of two minds here.
On one hand, anybody could see that CoH when released needed balancing, especially in the hands of SWFs or at high MMR.
On the other, this is going to gut solo queue once again. Even with peak CoH speeds, survivors (in my personal experience) still had trouble because of the absolute mess that solo queue has been for years now.
I think this is ultimately a good change, but I really wish solo queue wasn't the one to suffer the most with these nerfs. SWFs won't care about this other than the fact that they can't troll with it anymore.

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think this will fix the issue with CoH. If I did the math correctly, 24 seconds is still pretty good.

It only makes sense if you're playing as a SWF or just like the easy bold points. But yeah, you're pretty much spot on.

Do you get altruism points if one of the other survivors are using it to heal themselves? Because you definitely should.

I don’t think the speed was what was busted about this perk in it’s current state but the self-heal ability for the whole team for one perk is.
Also boons affecting multiple stories in Maps like Game or RPD..
but well… at least those kinda killer mains got something they will just ignore anyway

Nah. I've run into a handful of survivors who ran it and it did absolutely nothing. Maybe on RPD, or once in a blue moon on Midwhich where you get done dirty by hook rng and you need to take a dropdown. But it's been a dead perk since the nerf. I'm perfectly fine if survivors in my trials waste a slot on that.

In all situations but RPD library and kinda Eyrie of Crows, it was the same as it is now. It wasn't too strong before, it was abusable, there's a difference.
Now, you're left with the actual buffs it got - 16m hook aura hiding, which is useful for making killers stop and check where a hook is before pickup, and 100% increased stagger, which is useful on all indoor maps and sometimes elsewhere - and a potential (but unlikely) free escape if you can proc the great height drop. That's a perfectly serviceable perk, in my opinion.

It'll actually be a little less. CoH self-healing will take 21.33 seconds with this nerf (assuming you have no med-kit and no other perks that affect healing speed).
The math (someone else showed it earlier, but here it is again): The 50% penalty for self-healing comes first before the 150% buff. So, instead of the standard 1 charge per second, you start with a healing speed of 0.5 c/s. Now, you multiply that by 1.5 (to get 150%), which gives you a self-healing speed of 0.75 c/s. It takes 16 charges to heal, so you divide 16 by 0.75 to get 21.33 seconds.
You could also think of it as taking 32 charges to self heal. Then you just divide 32 by 1.5.

Why is it that the Developers intentionally screw survivors over and over again with meta perks. Can you explain to the survivor-players why they haven't received a meta perk since "Windows of Opportunity" with Kate Densen on June 2018 yet every killer release, they receive a brand new meta changing perk. You have effectively removed "Circle of Healing" as a meta perk so there has been literally 1 single meta changing perk in 4 years. Isn't that a problem that you all cater so hard to killer mains yet haven't changed the game for survivors in 4 years?

They've probably noticed that if they don't start balancing for Killer and making Killer fun again their game is going to dwindle. It would be terrible if the game got hit with a WoW 2021, it wouldn't be able to recover.

Still think the % should be lower than self healing perks so the tradeoff would be a teamwide benefit or another perk for faster personal use.
Personally I'd still take the team utility even with the longer heal time.

Let's all be honest. The real issue is how powerful Med-Kits are. Just reduce the charges on all of them ALONG with this CoH nerf and we'll be off to the races.

Medkits were a problem, but at least they had counters. You could deplete them or use franklins. The only counter to coh is to kill the one using it.

very sad to see that several alternative suggestions were given on the forum to change the CoH, but devs decided to change the perk % again to the point where self-healing + blessing time is worse than self-care.
Yeah, after parental guidance was nerfed without any justification yet on PTB, I'm not surprised anymore. Now it's time to see SoloQ get even worse with the new hemorrhagic status that's coming, as the game is clearly being balanced around high SWF.

Solo survivors like myself are again left to suffer, a 60% nerf would've been more balanced. People forget how awful it could be if you're solo surviving. Having teammates being super immersive in the corner of a map, crouching and hiding, not going for unhooks, etc. At least if there was CoH i was sure i could heal myself in a decent time and then go back and help with the game, while others were doing god knows what. We can't ask anyone to come and patch us up (boons or no boons) now solo games will have even more of a waste of time because you can't tell if someone else is healing themselves, hiding, running from the killer or doing gens.

I guess complaining here about the same subject everyday does pay off. Killers complain about survivors only using the same 4-5 perks, gee I wonder why?
Any perks that have a chance of becoming meta get nerfed because killers don’t want to adapt to it and the devs don’t have the stones to tell them to get good.
I think Dead man’s switch is overbuffed and broken when combined with pain resonance on killers like blight and nurse, so I guess I will cry on here everyday too since it seems to pay off. Hate something? Just complain on the forums enough for the devs to change it

Exactly this. We're going to see a reverse situation where all the decent solo queue players stop playing due to hopeless frustration just like a lot of killers were doing previously. This will be further exacerbated by DH's upcoming nerf.
This doesn't fix the problem DBD has been having, it just swings the pendulum the other direction.

Yes, the initial setup + heal takes longer than self care, but the following heals don't. Once it's set up it's still faster than self care. Having a team wide infinite self care that was faster than self care itself was too strong. Plus the healing still stacks, which means you'll still get fast heals when stacking perks and medkits.
All the Nerf does is make it to where you have to be a bit more tactful when choosing when and where to heal. And God forbid survivors having to be skillful in their gameplay lol.
